Sometimes, a panel comes to you perfectly square, but sometimes it needs a little help in order to measure perfectly for your quilting project. Jenny talks about how to block and square up the panel, then shows how she used Clover's Wonder Clips to help her press creases in the center going both horizontally and vertically. Once those creases are pressed in place, Jenny shows how to measure and mark each of the sections to cut apart. The panel is sewn back together with sashing strips, and Jenny shows how to add those batik pieces and keep everything lined up properly.

Hi, has anyone noticed the sound of this video is not matched up with the speaker? It is very distracting. Anyone know if this is something I can correct on my end? Or is it from the maker? Thank you.

Playing it back again right now, the sound is completely matched up for me. Sometimes background programs in your computer can make the sound a little out of sync in TH-cam and other videos, however, and restarting your computer will most often correct the problem.

    Hi Jenny,
I have a question please. My panel is not square at all. Almost square .One side is 1 and half inch . Is that correct.

Two of the three panels Jenny worked with were the same way, being almost square. That's why she suggests "blocking" the panel by spraying it with water and pinning it in position, then letting it dry. That's also why she used the clover clips to help her find where the press the center creases in place. The panels end up this way from the process used to wrap them on the fabric bolts.

How wide are the sashing strips?

Fabric does not have a "salvage", it has a "selvage" which is the edge. Salvage is most commonly used to describe vehicles that are so badly damaged that they are considered "salvaged" if they are restored or used for parts. A salvage vehicle.
