Apart from the "grandpa is a useless piece of shit who can't do anything right anymore" approach (all cunningly disguised as comedy...), yes, it's a fun gadget! If it distinguishes between bird species, I'm guessing it can tell between a squirrel and a bird. Because, we all know squirrels are going to be checking this out! Several times a day!

Bird lover actually means someone interested in birds, specifically those who live in the wild as opposed to domesticated ones. A bird lover is not necessarily into protecting chicken, which doesn't make sense anyway as chicken were created by man through millennia of selective breeding for man's own benefit.
This company is terrible to work with. I’m still having trouble with them 6 months after I cancelled my order! They keep sending boxes and I’m stuck w trying to fix their problems. The most difficult company I have ever had to deal with in all my 70 years!
