Excellent video, could you please do a video showing the results on a pattern board of what happens when you raise or lower an adjustable comb in relation to POI. Thank you, Harter

A good explanation. My Miroku mk70 was a fraction too long. When mounting the butt dragged on my chest. My local gunsmith checked my measurements. Everything was good except the length of pull. He cut 1/4 inch off the stock. Its now 14 and a half inches. Its perfect and my clay score has improved dramatically. Yes you can buy a gun that fits you but I bought the gr 5 mk70 because I loved it. It doesn't cost a fortune to do a small modification

That’s a very good explanation, I’m in Australia and we don’t have shooting school as you have in UK, so this was very educational

I have a question please: Would a tall person with a longer than usual neck need a higher comb, or a lower?
My initial instinct would be a higher comb, but maybe that would place the eyeline too high on the gun and so a taller person should have a lower comb that maybe has more angle to the stock for correct shoulder placement?

I’m looking forward to the try-gun episode not so much for the try-gun but to see the order and placement of each metric.

Welcome to our country, teach our people and government, what’s shooting sports, let’s everybody and government know it’s not bad thing, shooting sport isn’t criminal, shooting isn’t preparation to do something illegal; how can do it properly.
Especially, our government officials don’t like people own gun and do shooting, their concepts, thinking and doing seemed very strange, always opposite, many people said never seen such a situation in the world. They always emphasized democracy, freedom and human right, but it’s seemed something strange. Many people are eager to go shooting, but no way. Please help us to correct government officers’ thinking at first.
    Thank you very much.
    Have a nice season.❤️

Thank you for the great video! I am shooting trap with a Remington 1100 semi-automatic. I notice your all your guns are over under. As a beginner (only shooting 3 month), the investment in a Browning over under is quite much for my budget. I assume my 1100 is fine for a weekend shooter who just wants to be outdoors, shoot some trap and enjoy a great Nicaraguan cigar. What are your thoughts on the Remington 1100? My 2 daughters were measured by a gunsmith and their length of pull are 12.5 inches and 11 inches. The daughter with the lop 12.5 is shooting my Remington 100 with no problem. My daughter with lop 11 needs a youth model therefore I purchased the Remington 870 Youth with a 13 inch lop. The shortest lop I can buy off the shelf. What do you recommend? Greetings from the Everglades in Florida USA!

How do you determine come night with a customer I’m rather tall and tend to find my beretta and franchi perfect height wise but I do find beretta sporter stocks to feel a lot more progressive and less work I know my gun fits aren’t perfect

So, in your opinion, does the shape and size of your body almost dictate which manufacturer might fit you in a better way?

I would like to know if a certain cartridge brand suit a certain gun or manufacturer? For eg does a browning 525 prefurr fiocchi to an ely in clay loads 7-9s or is it a barreta thats prefers ......? Or is all down to the different choke makers?

Hi there I am really struggling to find somewhere to buy a gun that fits me or shall I say somewhere that you trust is right what they are telling you and not just trying to sell you any gun off there self.with my chin on the stock should I be able to look all the way down the bead? Should my eye be in perfect line with bead with both eyes open

    • @fullchoke01
      @fullchoke01 3 ปีที่แล้ว

A basic generalisation is if your gun mount is correct enough,
A flat shooting gun will have a sight plain of no rib view just the bead.
A sporter or a gun that shoots 60/40 your sight will be looking down the rib as if looking down the road,
And a gun that shoots high you will be looking down onto the rib.
These are all changeable to some extent by how soft or aggressive you mount the gun.

You have to understand that not all of us look like a little British hobbit, a round head, and no neck. Browning is for hobbits and Beretta for athletic slim people.
