- We are making the EASIEST 2 Ingredient Boba Recipe! I saw this video on how to make tapioca pearls from Melona ice cream from DUNGYIKITCHEN and wanted to try it out for myself. So we tried it following the step-by-step recipe for the melon flavor, as well as trying to make it even easier by making mango boba using the microwave. Can you use another ice cream because I live in Australia and they don’t have that type of ice cream

Can we make the boba out of any other icecream?
Hi, food scientist here... You can certainly try to make boba with corn starch but it will be a different texture than if made with tapioca starch. Tapioca starch is much chewier and stretchier, corn starch is a shorter more rigid texture.
Yep tried it twice and let's say it did not go too well 😂
The second time I tried it it was much better
Could you replace tapioca starch with rice flour?
@@KH-zc2hy Glutinous rice flour or mochi flour does work but again it will be a different texture and you will need a lot of flour for it to solidify
Can I use glutinous rice flour? Or can I just make starch of tapioca pearl? Because I have tapioca pearl but not the starch 🙂😂

Melona ice cream is so good. What an easy way to make some boba. Your mom is so adorable, best boba straw ad! The microwave seemed a lot easier and convenient. They look so pretty and yummy. quick tip: You can use sticky rice flower or mochigome also called glutinous rice flower and add it to the melted liquid until it forms a dough. No need to heat the mixture and then add starch again. It’s much easier. In Thailand we have a dessert called bua loy which is literally just that hahaha the texture will be the same just a tiny bit softer.
this is a good video! Now I know I can make boba pearls with just 2 ingredients. I usually made it with like 5 or 6 ingredients. The end voiceover video is so funnyyyy

Made it with strawberry ice cream. Instead of the ice cream and sugar mixer I used sweetened condensed milk mixed with a spoon full of ice cream then drained the boba and added it into the mixture. Made a strawberry jam from frozen strawberries not too thick tho. Added boba mixture, jam and milk was delicious. Tasted like a strawberry milk but even better.

As soon as I saw this I jumped up to make it. I love boba but I’m lazy. It’s midnight and my usual place is closed so I got the only I’ve cream in the house. (I used bryers ice cream) turned out just as well. The pearls were nice and chewy. Will definitely make again! Love ya ❤️ merry Christmas
