      It's narcissistic rage. She had a similar energy in her 2020 apology video, which was widely accepted for some reason.. despite the fact that the one claim she showed video of for context, she clipped out said context to vilify her accuser. And she couldn't put in the other instances, like Jenna Marbles (who actually knows what taking accountability looks like) did.. because then you would see just how vile the stuff she did actually was. The way she tried to switch the narrative about how she talked about her family's dog was particularly disgusting IMO.

    Let’s not leave out what she said about making a “fart joke.” This presumably was a response to the allegations about Becky, the girl on TikTok who spoke up about an experience at a Miranda sings live show in which she went up on stage for something called “the yoga challenge,” and this challenge for some reason involved her laying down on stage (in a fairly revealing outfit), while Colleen spread her legs and then played a loud fart sound. Becky said that the experience felt very similar to SA in the way it made her feel so ashamed and embarrassed of her still-developing teenage body, not to mention the fact that she got an uncomfortable amount of male attention after the show and felt very unsafe. Colleen had a responsibility to protect her and instead manipulated, objectified and embarrassed her while thousands of people watched and laughed. And now she’s just writing that whole nightmare off as a “fart joke??” Horrifying. This woman is a monster.

      You'll be surprised how many people get off on internet drama in general no matter what the topic is. That's how commentary channels unfortunately have content. Not to say that Colleen isn't wrong because she definitely is but there are actually people having fun but won't admit to it.

    • @msalyssababy
      @msalyssababy ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I disagree slightly. So many people are jumping on the hate wagon and you can tell that some people are actually enjoying all this and it is toxic entertainment to them. Don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely NOT defending her..However, I have watched a few videos of people reacting to this (and Colleen’s actual video) and I have seen many people make multiple comments & many of them were obviously enjoying the shit show. On her own video I counted at least 5 comments telling her to off herself. One guy gleefully told her how she could attach herself to a train track in a way that would get her stuck (so she couldn’t get change her mind) and eventually get struck by a train and die. They even ended their comment with “love you ❤.” So, my point being, some people are having fun with all this. I find what she did disturbing, selfish, wrong, and in very poor taste. While I don’t feel pity, I do realize that it must be extremely scary to have *millions* of people wishing ill will on you.
      Anyways, now that I have pointed that out, I find her video to absolutely atrocious. She didn’t label it an apology, nor did she make one, so I don’t know what to call it. Maybe she should seek legal counsel & get things settled that way 🤷‍♀️

    My favorite things about this dumpster fire of a video response (of course literally everything about it is atrocious so pick your poison, basically) are 1) how she says multiple times the allegations are false/lies/gossip - nevermind the tsunami of evidence put forth, ignore all that - without presenting even a single screenshot to support her claim. And 2) how even though this should be a serious response to gross behavior, she still manages to try and focus it on her appearance by using a friggin face filter (an unflattering one no less that makes her look sickly, wonder if that was intentional) and also including the line about her "bony little back" ew. Trying to highlight your personal struggles doesn't explain, justify, or excuse the weird shit you've done for years.
    This video of hers is quintessential "out of touch influencer makes herself the victim :("

    I think a lot of people misunderstand grooming. Grooming does not mean setting a child up to sleep with you. It means conditioning a child to play a role of any kind that can be exploited. And it always involves putting a child in a position that is outside of what is developmentally appropriate for them, and therefore hurts them. People can be groomed for labor, sex, and inappropriate emotion management.
    A grownup relying on a child for reassurance, friendship, and emotional support is absolutely grooming. The child becomes a tool for the adult and the adult is using their position of power to essentially trick the child into thinking it’s mutually beneficial. But it’s not. The adult is harming the child developmentally.
    So it doesn’t matter if she didn’t “mean” for things to be sexual. She absolutely used her position of fame to groom underage fans into emotional + capital labor, therefore she should not be in a position of power.

When youre that age, you dont even really have much of a concept for how young and vulnerable you are. Im not really sure who she is trying to appeal to with this insanity. None of if the allegations are surprising to me. Its always a red flag when an adult who makes content for children infantilizes themself to seem like more of a peer. She basically did all this inappropriate stuff at WORK and doesnt think she should lose her job?? If you sent a bra and panties to anyone you knew through work why should there be no consequences?? If you pressured an ADULT into reaching into your pants, you should lose your job. That isnt a normal mistake.
