It’s his calmness and composure that just baffles me, he turned 19 about a month ago or so but the way he’s always calm around older tougher opponents is really impressive

It’s hard to show in these videos, but mainoo almost always makes the right decisions. That’s what makes him special. Other 18 year olds are flashy or too rash, but mainoo has the composure of a seasoned veteran. What makes Mainoo special is how calm and composed he is. He rarely makes bad decisions, he makes much fewer error compared to almost anyone else on the pitch everytime.
The ability not to rush things, waiting for the perfect moment to pull a move, is usually you'd see in experienced players.

As an arsenal fan I have to say Mainoo from the small amount of games ive seen him in has a high footballing IQ for this age and will no doubt be a baller as a 8 going forward . He has great ball carrying and passing ability and he can dictate the tempo of the game knows when to slow things down and retain the ball or go forward and creates scoring chances for his teammates. He has great vision and fairly precise distribution.On a defensive contributions level he is timely with interceptions and tackles. His adaptability to different positions is also on a ridiculous level and has bags of agility in tight half spaces as well as amazing composure for this age. I cant see him failing at united he seems to be getting better and better in every game I see him in and doesn't shy away in difficult games and big games . United just need a certified 6 really like Amadou Onana which I hope arsenal can get.

He's not a 6, his best work is up the pitch. He's a true box to box
This was disappointing... It was a good display of his defensive awareness but he's not a #6 he's just being made to play there due to lack of depth buts he's so good he does the job effortlessly. He's more of a #8 who excels in passing, dribbling and composure and is more like a Phil Foden type player when given freedom moving forward. He's an all-round player and I just wish this compilation showed off his dribbling skills because its easy to think he limited to only the #6 role after watching this but that is very wrong. Hopefully Utd sign a proper young #6 so Kobbie can show just how good he is in a more advanced position because theres just so much more to his game.
Also he me personally Kobbie needs to move higher up the field as a roaming 8 he shouldn’t be a defensive midfielder he should have freedom to attack and create him and Diallo need to be our main creators I see Kobbie in the 10 honestly
