If you fully comment to Flareon as your tera, you can run flame or instead, first turn tera and use a speed boosting move, get burned then facade/flare blitz the entire team

Yeah but then Facade becomes your only real offensive option after the burn cuts into Flareons Attack stat

That first match, the end you should have let skarmory vs weezing you had flamethrower on it 🥲 and given flareon was one hit away. But I think tailwind was still up to out speed.

It's shell smash Espeon.
How?
You pair it with a torkal with ejeck pack
Torkal uses shell smash and swaps out to your espeon.
Espeon then uses Copycat to use the move torkal did to have a 140 base power stored power after 1 shell smash. You could also use weather ball as there is sun out from the torkal

Nope, flame Ops cannot burn fire types at the end of their turn but if they terror into something else they can be burned

You can, but it’s best to get guts active right on switch in. Waiting to Tera means your first attack doesn’t hit as hard unless you run protect

A few days ago Haydunn was wishing Gamefreak would make a Fire Type eeveelution instead of just having to use Tera Fire Jolteon. Amazing that he was able to hack Scarlet/Violet to add his own 'mon to the game, very impressive

Guts is tragic on fire types, you have to run toxic orb instead of flame orb and get badly poisoned which does much more damage
How about Tera the Fire Type for the Flame Orb to activate?
@@LimeLivesMatterthat’s what I thought as well. If his goal is to instantly go Tera Normal, then just use Flame Orb. Heck, get rid of one of the speed boosting and maybe add Quick Attack to get some priority.
TPC really needs to bring Frostbite from PLA to the main games. There is no reason to keep Freeze around when it’s an unbalanceable mess, might as well give us the special version of a burn.

The biggest problem of freeze is that there is not a freeze spore that is only distributed to ice types.

Ice has improved immensely in Gen 9. With Hail changing to Snow, and Aurora Veil, they’ve managed to somehow turn the tides of their massive defensive disadvantage and become middle of the pack/actually good. Also their offense is still amazing, especially when ground types dominate the formats. Now that they’ve improved the ice type, we can afford to give ice types a more consistent and defensively useful status condition just for them. And yes, you’re right. We need a move whose sole focus is to inflict frostbite.
It's honestly sad what they did to poor Flareon, by the time it got any decent physical stab it was too late
ya fire types in general have terrible physical stabs options, the only viable option is a recoil move

really sucks that fire types only have 1 physical attack option and it happens to be a recoil move, they really need a leaf blade, drain punch or aqua jet equivalent

I made a similar build that wiped out most my opponents team. The moves were just Trailblaze and Last Resort, Tera normal with flame orb.
Basically use Tera and trailblaze as soon as it comes out to immidiately activate flame orb and start demolishing the enemy. Nobody ever expects it and it was a great time!
Gameshark codes in older games can easily solve that problem. But, yes, Flareon needs more love.

Oof, that weezing vs garchomp matchup in the end. I was legit betting that this was a complete counter to garchomp, he can't do anything, with the only way he wins is if you miss multiple will o wisps. Then I saw your lack of haze or clear smog.
If my usage of weezing has taught me anything, it's that so many physical attackers attempt to stat up in front of a wall, especially when burned. Haze makes sure they stay useless.
IDK, I just like haze. I think it's a fun, great move, especially if you can wipe away multiple turns or item setups with just 1 turn.
😄 Fire orb Flareon works too with tera normal and if you play the in game game, Flareon stays burn when the battle is over, kinda broken.😮 It only in game not online sadly.

I wish flareon wasn't the one with guts sometimes because some of the main guts users are flame orb to limit the chip but you can't do it on flareon so it nerfs it right there being a fire type with guts.

YES Flareon is my dude. And you've got the exact moveset I do on mine lol and Guts of course. Trailblaze for coverage and double the speed boosters is a great addition.

i know numel sounds like a shitpost pick but hear me out, it's the only mon in the game that naturally has simple as its ability and 3 stockpiles can get it up to +6 defenses and let it pull off some deadly body presses; tera grass perfectly covers its two weaknesses and swallow lets it heal to full in a pinch if it's fully stockpiled

Me, seeing Flareon with a toxic orb: Why a toxic orb? Toxic builds up over time. Why not use a burn orb like with Jolteon?

I made a build involving flareon too, but it was slightly more geared to doubles.
It had protect with normal tera and burn orb, so it basically can turn 1 protect into tera and burn regardless of what they do. Unless it's urshifu...
And my first was actually not facade.. I had Last resort xD..
Basically. Protect tera, last resort. That was it. It was funny. But when the ghost came out it was impossible and i changed the moveset pretty quick.
The end of the first match was painfully slow, I was so hoping you'd clutch it out, begging for not a Cybertron Wisp Miss. lol

Like flareon would’ve won against skarmory if you had the chip and weezing DEFINITELY would’ve won against garchomp at the end if you had that rock chip as well.
Trailblazer is a great coverage move to boost speed as well. I ran it for my playthrough.

Flareon is one of my Favorite Fire Types, second only to Blaziken. I'm glad to see my fluffy fire boi in a battle! Great work like always!
The only way to fix Flareon is to redistribute its base stats.

Really dumb idea: switch Toxic for Flame Orb, that way you only get Guts when you actually Tera because you get burnt (? I assume it would activate)

Another great Haydunn video to relax after work. Although I've been playing Pokémon since grade school in 1999, I've never played competitive/Wi-Fi battles; I'd love to see a video where the whole team is highlighted instead of a singular Pokémon, if that makes any sense.

Yeah, Stealth rock is better than Stone Axe, i 100% would rather put the stealth rock guaranteed instead of risking failing just for a tiny bit of chip damage.
Given you mostly predicted Zoroark lead, you should've guessed he'd not go for a normal move, I'd have gone to Morpeko personally and maybe swapped from there so Noivern doesn't die to rocks or whatnot.
I wonder if flareon would of been better as a fighting type Pokémon as there are barely any good physical fire type moves that it learns I’ve never been a fan of recoil moves

U may not see this but u should use flame orb because although it won’t work when ur fire type
If u Tera into normal flame orb will work and won’t kill u fast like toxic orb will
I stopped playing the games when their quality dipped with S+S, so being able to stay up to date with these videos is real nice, and doubly so because you use the niche pokemon that no one likes instead of the mainstays that Pokemon Co gives sloppy to daily.

Why not give Flareon a flame orb? No increasing damage, and anyone stealing it immediately deals 50% less physical damage.
