I know youtubers have to use the clickbait thumbnails and titles to get views, which y'all deserve to get for your hard work, but it's nice to hear the honesty when you actually talk about these pokemon.

Fun fact, Gravity perfectly cancels out the miss chance of Dragon Rush coupled with Hustle, making it 100% accurate. But without Gravity it's 60%, so you might not want to mess with that...

Ngl I do really like Flapple, but I think Haydunn went with the wrong ability. Ik the immediate set up plus accuracy with Gravity is tempting, but not worth the misses lol. Flapple even gets Gluttony or Ripen which you can couple with the Salac or Liechi berry, and I’d use Dragon Dance instead of Endure.

I wish there was a "room turn extender" like there is for weather, terrain and screens for strategies like this (Gravity, Trick Room, Wonder Room, ect.). But Trick Room is far too potent in VGC for that to ever happen...
probably make ones for specifically gravity in wonder room and pledge moves but you are right trick room Extender with literally break VGC ice rider
Maybe they can make one for everything but truck room. A wonder extender, a gravity extender, a magic extender. No trick extender, and probably best to not include a tailwind extender too. Could be cool if they added a pledge extender, for those cool pledge moves the starters learn.

Flapple had a chance at a kill streak in all 3 games but kept fumbling the bag of apples. He missed 4 outta 5 without gravity.
Seems like a fun strat. It pairs well with Zap cannon and Hurricane Pokemon! Maybe u can make a gravity rain team or something along those lines.
Reminds me of my Flapple strat involving Dragon Dance, Ripen and a Healing Berry into Acrobatics that I had before my Unburden+Fling+Big Nugget+Dark Terra+Acrobatics Sneasler. Which was way more effective.
For the Sneasler strat, people without a lot of experience or knowledge will often switch into an available Psychic Type while people with experience will expect Flying Terra and react accordingly. Nobody expects a Terra Boosted 130 Base Power Fling though. And the rest of Sneasler's kit easily covers for the Dark Type weaknesses...
When you casually explained how to make Fapple of all things work well with a niche Meowskarada move, a pokemon I've never heard off in my life, just to casually say it's non-sense and I know you are going to beat your opponents with it... just made me realize you actually might be a true life master pokemon trainer. Like fr you get the title I wanted as a kid.

Would love to see a 'mon one day who gets gravity-setting as an ability, or maybe a move that sets it and switches the user out on the same turn. Gravity needs more love -- it could really help validate lower-accuracy move choices if only Game Freak would just let it shine.

Love seeing these videos and trying to see how something can be applied to VGC doubles! Grav apple gravity has some potential since people have been running gravity in reg G for things like kyogre origin pulse and groudon P blades

I feel like people sleep on Zebstrika. At least in my experience I think it's really strong. Dude outspeeds almost everything, hits like a truck and has crazy type coverage for both physical and special moves. The true mash A to win experience.

Base 100 attack and 80 special attack doesn't really cut it anymore unfortunately... 116 speed is nice but it's nothing insane there are a lot of faster mons

i’ve swept some of my friends with sap sipper zebstrika, tera ground w/ flame charge, tera blast, volt switch and supercell slam. heavily considering replacing volt switch with something tho

I love gravity even though it's not really viable. I've had the most success with choice scarf Great Tusk and spamming tera earthquake.

I remember sweeping a family friend's team with a DD Flapple in SwSh. I knew that was as good as it ever would get using Flapple on my team lol.
Very cool pokemon, but Flapple was a pokemon that benefited greatly from it's GMAX form, as its moves became sure hit and its special move either raising its accuracy, or lowering its opponent's, which really aided in its ability Hustle. Despite that, it still wasn't really a good pokemon

Their needs to be an item that extends effects of moves like gravity and trick room to 8 turns, like terrain extender does.

The entire time, I was thinking: "The Endure/Salac Berry has anti synergy with the extremely limited turns of Gravity, this'd probably work a lot better with just a Choice Scarf"
And each time you tried to Endure/Salac, you died to the immediate Hustle miss right after, so it never paid off (in this vid).
And then it was Flapple vs Archaludon in the third game, and I thought: "Well, this is where Choice Scarf would've been in trouble cause you'd have already locked into Grav Apple, so at least this set will let you Outrage" but then you went for Grav Apple anyway.
Overall, I think going for the Endure/Salac has a higher potential, since you can (in theory) utilize Acrobatics (and move switches) like you tried, but its probably better to have the consistency of Choice Scarf or maybe even Choice Band, since its best to just always click Grav Apple under Gravity (even against a resist).
Im not tryin to diss or anything, love the content, and the games were sick!
I really enjoyed this gravity strategy but i actually wish you had a pokemon with revival blessing too in the squad cuz especially in the first two games, the apple 🍏 died very unfairly and i think it would be possible to pull off the same strategy twice in the same battle, it would also be fun.

Appletun “thrives” on trick room teams with tera fire. You could also pull some nonsense like ripen or gluttony with the special attack boosting berry.

They should make a new lens that increases accuracy by adding an amount instead of a multiplier.
extra acc added instead of multiplied should be fine considering there are things like berries which are just an extra 30% bulk, focus sash shenanigans, choice items and other VERY good items. Not to mention the lens could be specific to status or non status making the others still usable.

I mean... couldn't you also set up with a Sturdy 252 D 252 SpD 6 HP Fortress, and you can get off Spikes, TSpikes, SRocks, and Gravity to make for cleaner sweeps? As long as you aren't opening to a Fire Type you can tank pretty hard physically with SpD being half your physical, but still a pretty decent setup mons for a sweep set, especially since Gravity makes Spikes and TSpikes hit all mons, so make sure to stack your entry hazards and finish with Gravity if you feel safe enough to do so. I would bring an out to Fire types to cover for this. I recommend Cloyster. While also not very Specially bulky, can help as a secondary setup mons with Spikes, TSpikes, Liquidation and Rain Dance to help with the Fire-type moves. The combo would essentially be Spikes, TSpikes, Liquidation/Rain Dance (if Fire-type is on field, Liquid, if not RD), then switch into Fortress for Spikes, TSpikes, SRocks, and then Gravity. Switch in or sack into Flapple, then sweep with Grav Apple. The stacked entries should lower most things into a nice zone for Flapple to Gravity assisted Grav Appple OHKO or die to toxic at end of turn unless very bulky.
