I spent two and one-half years on an aircraft carrier listening to F-4s launch and land. This has saved me loads of money on audio components. After my military service, I went to college and received an electrical engineering degree. So I do enjoy these videos.
I found here via George Yurchisin on the audiophile network and am sure glad I did. I love the passion you convey and you can see the Maggies departure really does sadden you. And is that not what this whole HiFi game is all about. The ability to turn an inanimate object into something that breathes life and emotion into the listeners heart! I am looking forward to seeing the progression of the new listening room! Now off to look at what else you have uploaded!
When he opens the door for where he will put the new racks it looks like he's opened the door to Narnia hahaha. It's glowing so bright. Or he found a portal to heaven.
He must have some good reason to think its worth the risk of swapping the [all-important] speakers! I mean, selling the Maggies before even getting the IRSs in the room? Phew...thats faith! Wonder when was the last time he heard the IRSs... Best of luck Paul!
How is a semi-circle DaaD a diffusion device? They look more like a reflector system. Quadratic diffusors are MUCH better. I've heard comparison tests between semicircle "diffusors" and quadratic diffusors and the quadratic sounded FAR better than any other diffusion device.
Paul: Do you have a website or email I can contact you, I have a set of tall Yamaha speakers that no one knows how to hook-up. They're about 6 foot tall, they have a hook on the side of them which makes me believe they're for a wall mount. The input looks like a 13 pin computer. Very strange, I've had for a few years and never heard them. Please help.
My music set up cost about 5 million dollars. My turntable is about 300,000 US dollars my amplifier costs another 200,000 dollars. My speakers take up the remainder of my set up. That's what this dude tells people.
Damn right dude - HOPELESS INFORMATION - There are 10 times better info on other channels, that will make you some fantastic quality music/sound for a realistic amount of money. This should be called, how to waste your big fat wallet, on some 100% overkill system or SPEND BIG for the 0,00001% of the working composers, producers etc etc etc...
This is a reference system.. it is to show how it could sound, if your funds are unlimited.... it took him 45 years of hard work in the high-end audio business to build this and is for his high-end audio business..... Get a better job and you can have this setup too...

Thank you so much for sharing all of the detail. Don't pay attention to the stupid comments, very few people know that you are not bragging.
The speakers can never be too big!
Forklift operator had me worried for a minute.
By the way, that Logan Martin speaker is really something, I heard before, awesome. Great choice for your room.
Concerning the qear/equipment cabinet - wouldn't the door rattle or vibrate from all the anticipated volume of air moving?
Thanks! These videos are so cool. Well done.
Thanks for the videos Paul

revisited! nice!
I couldn't handle that room. I need windows. Also it seems a bit small for the IRS.
How do i record high quality audio i wish to share the sound of my Ruark Excalibur speakers.
Use a device called a microphone.

You need to knock out the wall and make audio rooms 1 & 2 one room :) then feel the experience with your IRS's :)))
I wonder how much he want's for the used Equipment. I Imagine a good bit, but I would still like to know!

Impressive speaker system, but completely unnessecary for people that have small rooms.

It's a tough job but someone has to do it.

These products take audio to the limit, many of the technologies trickle down to us mere mortals over time, so we shouldn't be quick to criticize
