    I loved the “price check”part on the deck of the video!! It crazy that just a few cards will make a deck cost 3X as much. I loved the explanations you give and how you break down the decks. Really helps to understand.

      Thanks so much! I thought that would be a good inclusion, especially because not everyone can afford a $700 deck

    I knew I recognized you from somewhere! We played a week and a half ago at a pro quest (I was the azalea you beat with Katsu) - and this was my runner up deck. Bringing it to the Indy calling with a couple changes, so I’ll report back if it does well!

    Found this video (really late) as the first video I was recommended on your channel, likely because Dori is making a comeback with the rotating out of Starvo and Chane.
    I'd like to say that as a brand-new player, your cost checks are golden for me. I don't really want to spend a ton of money on a deck until I know that FnB is the game for me going forward. I played Magic for many years and got really burned out and angry when they made the obvious cash-grab move to start printing Mythics and stop making older cards accessible in the annual sets. As such, I'm more than happy to spend $200 for a lesser version of the deck to play at my LGS, since I have no Pro Tour aspirations, with the option to upgrade the deck later if I like how it performs.
    I also like your balanced presentation style, where you note cards that are must-haves and other cards that you aren't sure about. It lets less experienced players such as myself monitor card performance so I understand what I may want to change in the future.
    I'll probably be binge-watching your more recent videos, so I hope you don't mind my occasional long, rambling comment! Thanks again for the work you put into this.

    2 ironsong response
    2 stroke of foresight
    2 razor reflex

      Looks great! I don’t know as much about Dori in blitz, is 9 blues usually good? Good luck!

      @keithmahler4236 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bagel I've looked everywhere for a winning quicksilver prodigy build for dori for blitz I wanna try it and focus more on actions than reactions you know where I can find a top notch list ?

    What's the general plan for sideboarding, do you usually go down to 60 cards? Which cards are the top candidates to trim for the sideboard?

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes 60 cards is almost always the goal! The sideboard includes all of the defense reactions except the 1 Blue Steelblade Shunt, the 2 nourishing emptiness, and the 2 lead the charge

  • @keithmahler4236
    @keithmahler4236 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you play something that gives you weapon go again like hit and run or spoils of war with dori with axes or kassai with swords you can hit with second one even if the first ax is blocked right? it's not like dawnblade

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! Each weapon says once per turn, so even if the first is blocked as long as it has go again the other weapon can still attack once that turn. Some things get around the once per turn clause such as Dorinthea hero ability or twinning blade

    • @keithmahler4236
      @keithmahler4236 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BagelTCG how would you play enlightened strike in a dori ax deck would you start the chain with give it go again than axes or try to use it similar to nourishing emptiness when you play dawnblade when you got a go again but can't swing

  • @keithmahler4236
    @keithmahler4236 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Question if I have pitched 2 reds this turn in pitch zone for precious attacks and pitch one to activate flamescale giving me 3 floating resources can I now play a 3 resource card on this turn? Reason I ask is your suppose to play the card first than pitch for the resources so how would I do this correctly thanks

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have the resources “floating” as in they already exist you don’t have to pitch at all, you can just play the card and use the resources. So you can pitch your 3rd red to activate furnace, gain 3 resources and then play a 3 cost card like Nekria

  • @4sliceproductions
    @4sliceproductions 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’ve been tinkering with this but it just seems B- tier at best. It just doesn’t have the dmg output of the top decks. Doris rate of dmg is 3 dmg per card. Right now that’s not good enough to be top tier. Enjoyed the video though. Biting blade is def a correct blue!

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also suspected as much, but the results convinced me otherwise. It’s the incredible blocking power that makes it a solid A tier

  • @jveenbaas

    i want to try this deck , i dont have the spill blood (yet) so i am going for the sabres, is second swing a good card to replace the spill blood?

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah second swing is good, but I think slice and dice is much better!

    • @jveenbaas
      @jveenbaas 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      and in an other reply you said you would normaly run the deck as close to 60 cards as possible, and against most you would take out all the defence cards? you also said you think the deck to be good because of the defence , but you also want to keep 3 cards in hand to get at least 2 weapon swings with a buff. is a bit confusing to me what to keep in the deck, when to defend and when not. maybe you can clarify it a bit for me? tnx alot (newby noob here :))

    • @jveenbaas
      @jveenbaas 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      watched the video again ,most thinks i asked you already explained. i am gonna play it unchanged for some time. still, any advice is welcom(btw, i dont have any of the expensive equipment)

    Is Flock worth it in this deck? I feel it's a bit lack luster so I don't include it in my list but I'm curious if I'm missing something

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s nice for set up turns against control decks, but it can easily be sided out
