Found this video randomly, but just a suggestion - if you stay here for more than 1-2 years, learn Latvian language. You will solve most issues just by knowing the language on the lowest level. After Russia invaded Ukraine, the tolerance between Latvians on foreigners and local Russians not knowing local language is way lower it used to be. The author says the racism is subtitle, but I can assure you that while few Latvians are not gonna hate you, it changes quite a bit when somebody learns you are here for a while and can't say basic phrases. The Baltics have historical issue with Russian occupation and the impact of foreign language, the tolerance of similar assimilations are not there anymore, except for English, but don't count on it. For example, if you try to work here while studying, for example, for Wolt, Bolt, if you can't say basic phrases, you gonna have bad looks from time to time. For working here - I worked with some guys for France, UK, Germany, Sweden, it is ok to speak only English if you are here for work as foreign expert. If you are just a up and coming student, you have no reason to not learn local language, that will be required in most companies. Just sharing some insights as local. GL. Just know, you are welcomed here, but please be respectful of local culture and language. We are not many here, so we must protect what we have.
We as students, always have basic Latvian in first year of our studies. So basic phases like hi, sorry, thank you and counting is something they teach. If we learn it, I guess that's on us right? I've been here over 5 years and I know how happy it makes local vendors even in rimi when you greet them and say thank you in Latvian. So I understand where this is coming from but at the same time, Riga has become so much more English oriented over time as well. The balance is something we as foreigners need to work on.
This is the blatant racism you can witness in Latvia. Indian students have been heavily beaten on the roads. I have personally seen Latvians spitting on Asian Bolt and Wolt riders. I have witnessed heavily racist professors scolding Asian students, saying they smell like curry, so they shouldn't come to the university after cooking!
Latvian degree is a European Quality and EU accredited degree so it will have definitely give you a competitive edge in the Indian job market especially because they give more value to foreign degree holders.
I have applied Turiba university but they are not conducting interviews last 6 months suddenly they conduct suppose i have passed and how much can we earn per year maximum salary tell me brother
Please tell me which university better to studying in this country. Because latvia i think its kinda new they open for foreigners to studying in their country

Hi i have been following you on Instagram.i just love your content..Is it difficult to find part time job for masters student..& if they do get job so is it enough to bare the expenses..as i am applying for MBA..Please reply..
Thank you for following and supporting. For master students it's easier to find full time jobs than part time jobs. Professional full time jobs are available for masters students as they are allowed to legally work 40hrs/week. If you work full time. You can definetly manage your expenses and rent. You might even be able to save towards paying your fees as long as you get a professional job.
The chances of getting a job in Latvia with an MBA is staggeringly low unless you know the language. You can explore LinkedIn to get a better understanding of the job market in Latvia.
@@Lifeinlatviaa please also tell about how many years we get post study work visa and also how can we able to get Full time job once we graduated from masters bcz many peoples said that very tough to get job in latvia after masters
@@summa-p3j bachelors 4-6 months and masters 9-12 months. It is a bit hard to find full time jobs if you are not already working somewhere when studying. Usually if you work somewhere, they will offer a work visa after studies. But most students after studies, go and work in other EU countries
