Hey thanks a lot. It’s a beautiful body. And to be totally honest. I still like this RC despite its faults… I’ve been advised to get better tires and I will give the 3s another shot.
I also need a new body…. Mines wrecked 😂

Have you checked your gyro? Sometimes it is set opposite from factory = it enforces the turn instead of compensating. Just push the button inside 2 times and the gyro will reverse its turn.

The car is running on a 2s and 3s lipo.
The transmitter used 4 AA batteries .

It's super quick on 2S & it's mental on 3S.!!!
It’s the exact same RC . I am wondering though if they changed the tires to a better one on the UK FTX releases. The ones in the HNR release balloon like crazy and hit the chassis when they balloon making it impossible to drive on 3s.
@@rcexpatshk nope, they didn't change them.! 😉 😉 They're really really grippy, but wowsers do they balloon.!
So much so that I've actually trimmed the chassis a wee bit.
I know I could've changed the tyres & I have, I've had a few different tyres on it but I really liked the stock ones, they grip really well in the wet, the best I've ever had in the wet actually.. I'm in Scotland & wet is kinda our thing.! 😂😂
It does fantastic on foams btw.!

I'll need to see how it holds up long term though, there's no metal where I'd prefer metal to be...

When I receive mine I'm going to trim out the wheel fender wells, both front and back so my tires don't rub on the inside of the body, because I'm sure there's going to be ballooning in these tires running it at high speed.
Yes. They balloon like there’s no tomorrow.

They also balloon and hit frame,so you will be applying breaks when you hit around 35mph..best solution is tires that dont balloon..this way you can hit 50 plus mph wit no issues...
The issue with wobbling/gyro was discovered by Phil @Tomley RC. The receiver is the wrong way causing issues just spin it around and it's beautiful!

I just got new tires for this and planning on taking it out again .
Did you ever get it to go 55mph in a straight line after installing tires that dont hit body and frame,and making sure gyro was moving wheels correctly?
Yes . New tires and gyro set this flies.
Sadly no one ever made a good speed run on 3s after installing tires that work well will this car...everyone sees a bad crash after 40 mph..i think car has a lot of potential,but stock tires can't handle 3s...thanks for sharing
And the gyro is reversed if you pull the receiver off there is a button facing the inner of the chassis press it one time and it will put the gyro in the correct order to counter the slide
Comes from the factory backwards from what ive seen hope that helps!!

Is it worth taking this machine or what would be better at this price? Is this car better than the previous flying fish?
Once you ensure that the gyro is set in the right direction. There is not much you can fault on this car. If you like the looks then it’s a great car to own. No experience with the flying fish.
Only issue is finding suitable replacement tires.

@@catkevinovich5375 yes gyro is included built into the receiver. For road speeding it is perfect . It can drift also with the included drift tires . But as in drift it’s not a professional drift chassis . Street drift only . Do not expect it to be able to tackle a drift track .

The tires are ballooning into the chassis. That’s why it’s flipping over and losing control. A set of radial tires would keep it from ballooning. Really like your channel, just found it so I’m a new sub!👍🏻😎

Yes this is definitely what happens. I removed some material from the chassis with a file and it works fine now , blistering quick. And yes you need to reverse the gyro and it works great for drifting

I’m not sure. I havn’t seen any chassis upgrades for this .

Runs great on 2s. If you want more speed from 3s you’re going to have to find some much better tires that do balloon so badly.
Otherwise yes. Great car for its price .
Why don't you take the spring tensioners out; you put them on it before you even ran the car. The factory didn't for a reason. I handle 10th scale 3s all the time.
Yeah you’re right. But I did try with and without on the track.
Tiers are ballooning to much on 3s and eating at the body causing uncontrollabity tiers balloon to much for the space between the rubber and chassis
Great review...but this car has a couple of issues ,yes, but you should have fixed them since they are all simple to correct..many watching this video will not buy do to its poor out of the box performance demonstration...the two main issues is tires expand and hit frame as well as shell also many of these cars were sent out with gyro reversed.

Tyers are to soft and sticky.
The stock tires were soft but with almost no grip. The worst thing is they balloon like crazy when going fast. This causes the tires to hit the wheel well on the chassis and in turn making the car flip over.
I’ve since changed the tires to Traxxas ones made for the 4-Tec 2.0. Perfect fit and work so much better.
