    Honestly, I found Bali as a whole quite depressing. At one point, we were at a waterfall, and I was sitting there on a rock watching people come and go. They would show up, pose in a bikini, and leave. No one was there to actually enjoy the beauty of nature. They just wanted an Instagram picture, and then they were on their way. It just wasn't what I was looking for when I went, a bunch of influencers traipsing around rice terraces taking ethereal footage but living through their cameras.
    I also saw two scooters accidents and I was only there for six days, one crashed into the back of the car we were in and one was quite serious, a woman nearly hit a dog because she was going too fast, she came off the bike, my sister and I went running to help her, she was really quite injured. We picked her up off the road and helped her to the medical center. That was in Canggu.
    I'm coming back in September this year. I'm spending 3 days in Ubud, and then I'm going to Lombok and Gili Air. I can't deal with Bali for too long.
    It sucks because it really is beautiful, and the people are lovely, but it has become a victim of its own success. I figure I better get to Lombok before the same thing happens there.

      Scary scary . Got to be so careful driving here . What I can say though is some tourists are idiots , and drive a scooter on a busy road when they have zero experience even driving .
      Got to explore more of Indonesia for sure ! Lombok could be interesting , I haven’t been back in over 6 years so not 100% sure what it’s like now , but I definitely want to go see soon !
      Anyways safe travels when you come back ! 🙏

    I can totally relate! I moved to Bali 4 months ago. I tried around Canggu and I hated it. It’s nothing like it used to be 5 years ago. I was shocked by the vibe, not in a good way. 😅 But it’s exactly as you described it. I live in Uluwatu now and loving it! ❤ I do need to visit Nusa Penida and Lembongan. It looks beautiful. Congrats on your new villa!

      I do still love canggu don’t get me wrong , but my intentions, lifestyle , and pace of life have changed a lot 🙏 so moving to where I feel more at peace .
      I need the peacefulness for health , and for creativity

      @TravSpringer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s still an amazing place ! Definitely worth visiting ! I’m now living in Nusa Lembongan , way more relaxed , but not many resources . For long term canggu is still a great place , or possibly Uluwatu I would say 🙏 Is this your first time in Bali ?

    I've lived in Canggu and it's a piece of trash. The beach and the water is dirty, the swimming pools are for selfies and not really for swimming, and it feels like the cool kids from high school that are still in the same party mindset. There are much nicer places in Indonesia and SE Asia that 99% of the Bali crowd never visits.

    • @TravSpringer
      @TravSpringer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely are some beautiful places in Indonesia for sure . Specially if you are after more nature .

    when a guy does public kissing in 100 shots on his Instagram and then posts a video about over social media. isn't that weird?

    I like how its the second video about Canggu ive seen from this guy yet he wont state the real reasons and instead states things we already know. Here is a newsflash you were in canggu to get hot girls. Thats why guys hang out there - the vibe is set for that. Now you got your girl and canggu sucks. Im not hating but im tired of watching soft opinions on this channel

    • @TravSpringer
      @TravSpringer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why do you think these are not real reasons ? 🤔

    • @TravSpringer
      @TravSpringer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was living in canggu for almost 5 years , and the main reason was not for the girls at all btw … if you know me what you don’t , you would know I don’t drink and I don’t party, what kinda means that the lifestyle I lived in canggu is like 99% different to many people there . I was in canggu because it offered me the solutions , network , and services in order to get my business running here in Indonesia .

    • @dennisgordon7767

      @@TravSpringer tons of people dont party and drink in bali. they still hook up. yes i dont know you but my point is also valid

      @@TravSpringer these reasons are beyond obvious to anyone who has been to bali, or looks at any video about canngu. imo

    It's very unfortunate but we agree with a lot of these points!🥹. Another thing that we're devastated by is the lack of rice fields left in Canggu, they're part of the reason so many people loved Canggu so much and now most of them are gone🥹🌿💔

      Very true totally forgot to mention this🤣 but one thing it does have is great people . Specially all our local friends what I miss a lot
