i agree with this. Every time i see a “pick the worst pokémon” video and they just do lowest BST it’s never fun
@@IngasPingas14 I mean it's kind of fun, the only two things to consider when all pokemon can have any ability, pretty much, is their movepool and their stats (typing is also technically important, but that both feeds into the other two categories and has been proven to being irrelevant if the other attributes are good enough, like how Volcarona has terrible typing but a great movepool to offset this problem,) it also opens up interesting options for strong pokemon to sneak their way in because of a baby. This one was definitely a lot more interesting, but the lowest BST one was a good starting point for the concept
@ well no because some pokemon are min maxed better than others and have access to different move pools so just going with the lowest stats isn’t very creative or fun.

I am kind of liking this way of deciding what pokemon are better or worse between yourselves instead of going for base stats
I liked the back forth of talking about team comps, moves, etc. When deciding the worst mon. Much better than just the lowest bst.
I would rather fight a Landorus than a fur coat Blissey.
... Saying Rhyperior is better than the Pokemon whose signature move is basically giga drain _and_ scald _and_ surf wrapped into one grass move, however, is malarkey. In fact, the Charizard having desolate land makes Rhyperior much worse, because desolate land means instant solar beam, which means one very dead Rhyperior.

Yeah should have taken Rhydon, every gen 9 Pokémon is probably better cause of the power creep 😂
Actually an interesting point is that Luke knowing about Desolate Land makes Rhyperior that much better. It's just a snap Sap Sipper pick, meaning that Shady would need to deal with Rhyperior in some other way, and the desolate land means Tera Water isn't an option to do that.

Fur Coat Blissey is just one tier below Dussey, so it's obviously the better mon. And I also love the format of this video, would love to see more of it, definitely.
I have a fun idea for a challenge. Could y’all please catch eight Pokemon of your choice that all have random abilities. Both of you also get to pick out the move sets after catching the Pokemon. Once you both acquire teams, read off each of your team members’ Pokedex entries. If the one being read to correctly identifies a Pokemon entry, he gets the option to force a trade without knowing the moveset of the identified Pokemon. The player who gets the identity correct is also able to pick out a custom ability for the traded Pokemon. Sabotaging some of your own team members is legal. Let’s say that the two leftover Pokemon with easy Pokédex entries are physical attackers like Machamp. You can rigg the entire moveset to be special or support moves. The Pokemon can’t be pseudo legends, legends, paradox, ultra beast, mythical or, starters to make it a bit more challenging.

sad no one thinks of attract strats when luvdisc comes up. still proud of my shiny girl luvdisc making someone ragequit in ranked doubles with one against an all-male team with thundurus and urshifu. they kept failing the coinflip to attack and would have to switch to remove it and lose their buffs in the process.

That Lando/Blissey round is tough. The power of Fur Coat Blissey is undeniable, but a Lando-T with aerilate could do heavy damage with Double Edge and Explosion

I actually looked it up. The only way it didn't outspeed with the D dance is 0 ivs and 0 evs with landorus having max timid.

Adamant Charizard +1 252 EVs is 228 speed
Jolly Landorus +1 252 EVs is 235 speed
there's only 9 base speed between them, nature will make the difference.
@@kodiedunn1234as someone who uses Charizard religiously, that Landorus was outspeeding every time if they were built how you’d expect them to be.
You should do one where you have to choose the weakest Pokémon and draft a Legendary whose stats (all of them) you’ll give to the weak Pokémon. Although, the weak Pokémon won’t evolve and will keep its regular ability, moveset and typing.
I loved how you did the back and forth to try to prove why1 thing is worse than the other on this one
Things Shady forgot on one turn:
- Lando is scarfed
- Charizard is Adamant, Lando is Jolly
- Even if Charizard was Jolly, it still wouldn't have outsped because he hit himself with Toxic Thread, negating his DDance.

Video idea. Randomize three starters. You get to draft an ability for all of them. The other person knowing the pokemon and abilities you gave them chooses which combo you get. Do you they give you weak pokemon with strong abilities or strong pokemon with weak abilities.
Blissey is so much better than Landorus with any ability.

So your opponent chooses your starter, but if you get a shiny, then you can choose for yourself. With randomised abilties and maybe boosted shiny odds?
Amazing idea to move away from BST and consider everything when choosing the worst pokemon. The debates were top tier. And yes, Blissey would have been WAY too broken.

I really enjoy the discussion of what counts as worse, as opposed to just using base stats.
I’d love to see another version of this concept where the first 3 picks for each person are just about the objective worst mon (lowest BST, bad moves, no evos, etc.). Then have the final 3 picks add on the team compositions of both sides so far. That way it’s limiting the manipulation your opponent can do against you with the “arguments.”
The back and forth on this is fun rather than just lowest bst

There's a lot of good grass types but over all, the type is kind of dogwater. I mean just look at Wolfey's type tierlist for it.
Video idea : every round, you pick a Pokémon for you and one for your opponent. The twist is that by seeing your reaction (but before any choice is made), the other player picks to either stay or reverse the Pokémon (so the Pokémon are swapped) BUT you only get a single swap.
Ariados getting a KO is unprecedented. Crabominable sweeping with the triple moody attack boost was unhinged.
Crabominable with it's regular ability Iron Fist and using the move pool of Drain Punch, Ice Hammer, Power-up Punch and Thunder Punch could have been an really nice Pokémon with Choice Scarf.
Sooo Shady may not have forgotten about Magic Bounce, but he indeed forgot about his Ariados having prankster so it would always go first 🤦♂️

you pick a mon to give your opponent (dont tell them), then tell them the 2 you didnt take, then they can blindly choose its ability (drafted only 1 time like it was in this)
will make for some wild ability/mon pairings and very interesting teams because you are trying to sabotage

Idea: choose your starter but you build each others teams and make the best version of each starter. Opponents don’t get to know what eachother chose until the start of the fight. Basically you build the best team (best pokemon on the screen) and then trade it to the opponent and then fight eachother without them knowing stats and moves blindly for the first game. (Basically you know what they have but you don’t know what you got). Then the second game, you actually trade the teams back to the ot and battle again.
Extra twist: throw one illegal move or ability on one Pokémon each.
With Blissey's HP and moveset along with Fur Coat, yeah, Blissey would be the bulkiest Pokemon in existence. Especially considering it only has 1 weakness and no Quad like Landorus
