- My own on-going project to rework the PicoPad into a vertical "Gameboy style" handheld. It plays video, games, and emulates GB & GBC games... and plays Doom (just).

Thanks for whipping out the old All Your Base Remix, It's been a while since I last heard it, and kept me watching through the whole video. As much as I like the ingenuity of the little gadgets that come out of the community the tiny screens and little clicky buttons don't agree with my aging eyes.😂
It's weird to think it's almost 25 years since the All Your Base remix. A different era of Internet, where there was a tangible feeling that we the users owned it. Thanks for dropping by.
I remember when the flash game came out..yes I'm old
Nice, thanks for posting this! I love how you essentially have the TL;DR version that's the first few minutes of the video, and then the more detailed version after.
Thanks Joe. I'm still working on my video style and production values. There will be a part 2 - PicoPocket case, combined with a case and more detail on the Micro ArduBoy.
@@megazoid Awesome! Well done so far with the production, I enjoyed the chip-tune track in there during the assembly too. Looking forward to the next video!
this is amazing
Hey! is your firmware open-source? If so, where could I find it?
If you mean the Picopocket, none of it is mine, but Miroslav Nemecek's PicoLibSDK appears to be open source (link in the description), and the Github link for Picopad can be found by following the (link in the description) for PicoPad. I personally don't have a Github page. Thanks for your comment.
@@megazoid Thanks for the reply! Sorry if it's a dumb question, but how do I install GBC games onto the device?
@@seanocansey5673 I can't get into GB / GBC emulation for legal reasons... sorry. The software is nothing to do with me.
@@seanocansey5673 Games can be loaded from the SD card (using built-in loader) or directly via USB cable from the PC.
