The hatchback Clio is absolutely the sweetest city car. I really like the Renault biodesign concept of those years, where there are a lot of rounded calm elements.

Something about this generation of the Renault Clio that i'm curious about is that the interior is slightly different between certain trims/years. My country only has Clios with this interior shape, even newer models. While in most wealthy European markets, there's a different shape for slightly newer models (center console is one piece unlike the one shown here, goes all the way to the gear shifter). Does anything change when it comes to quality or is it pretty much the same thing?
The new dashboard only appears on the facelifted models, and the build quality on the new dashboard is vastly improved (fun fact: the new dashboard actually had better build quality than the pre-2016 Clio 4!).
@@netako Interesting to know. Pre-facelift always had this "cute" look to it but it definetly looks like a very cheap plastic. Meanwhile the new dashboard has a much better build quality look for it. Also yeah, after looking for photos of the Clio 4, especially without an touchscreen and on entry models, the dash has a very plasticky, cheap look, especially for something post Clio II lol. Touchscreen variants does seem to patch up that fault, but the black-piano finish seems perfect for keeping finger-prints.
if you're in south America it's because they have lower car standards and are built like that because they don't have to, but if you're in europe you might be confusing the thalia/symbol (basically a sedan clio) with the normal clio, those had an older interior because it didn't have high enough sales and renault decided not to change it because not a lot of people bought it.

We haven't had dark license plates with white text since 1977 in the NL, it's cool to see them on a more recent car!
