PART I . After the Unity Crystal disaster that unknowingly caused an avoidable amount of destruction at Maretime Bay, ponies of all shapes and sizes were ravelling and celebrating their newly found friendships and interesting powers that welcomed the Earth ponies with open arms. Visibly the magic from all earth ponies joined with the levitation abilities of unicorns whilst the pegasus glided across the sky. Earth ponies sprouted flowers that instantly grew whenever they desired, newly formed trees and plants fluttered and bloomed through the town decorating hanging baskets, buckets, and so many carts. Everypony was happy. A new era of magic was beginning. Yet one little pony out of all the rest, one that remained mainly curious after such a disaster with the crystals was none other than 'Sunny Starscout', a young and newly formed alicorn who's fruitful mind filled with questions. She was restless staring at the starry ceiling above her bed, all of her loving friends were sleeping peacefully in their personalized beds that hide their gentle forms. Sunny couldn't sleep, her sunshine smile filled with concern and curiosity as one question kept spinning around behind her eyes like an annoying wooden toy...
“Why? Why did Equestrian magic disappear so suddenly in the first place? Why does the crystals even exist? Why are they powered by our friendship?”
Sprouted Sunny Starscout mind, daydreaming about those floating united gems with a million and more questions that she desperately wanted answers for. Originally, Sunny didn't have many thoughts about the artefact, not after months of peace and magic flowing through the whole of Equestria. But now? After what Zipp tried telling her and not believing her, how the crystals suddenly shut off the magic and nearly doomed two ponies to a sudden hole of infinite darkness. It got her wondering...
"Well, I'm not going to get answers from sticky stars on the ceiling, now am ‘I?" Sunny whispered as she quietly got up from underneath the sheets. 'I need to see them, maybe then I'll be able to sleep without all this brain nagging that clustering my head'
Sunny thought as she trotted off out of the massive, shared bedroom and passed up the stairs, hoping that she didn't stir anyone from anyone's slumber. Zipp, Pipp, Hitch, and Izzy remained. Yet silently a young infant little dragon named 'Sparky' fluttered his eyes open as Sunny's tail drifted out of the door, catching the baby's eyes as he yawned and gave a curious glance whilst making his way out of his own beddy basket. Hitch didn't notice as he clumpered and snored through a pleasant dream as his scaly new friend waddled with their comfort blanket out of the room just as Sunny Starscout vanished upwards into the lighthouse's spotlight room.
Feeling the cool summer breeze against her rainbow striped hair, Sunny Starscout carefully approached and stared amazingly up at the Unity Crystals that highlighted a soft colourful glow up into the sky. Floating there eternally with the representations of all three tribes. She stared; mouth slightly agape as she mouthed invisible questions that needed to be expressed. Can it hear? Does it know she's even there? Why are you here?... What could have coursed this?
After minutes of waiting with no answers to her begging thoughts, she sighed sadly at the notion that they’ll be no clear answers for now… She was in fact trying to talk to a bunch of glowing crystals, what could they tell her? Turning on her heel with her back against the crystals, the reaction was slow but revealing on the surrounding glass of the lighthouse as she beginning to leave. A bright white and sparkling light blinded her as her pupils were suddenly forced to adjust to such condition. Her alicorn magic activating to shield her shockingly green eyes with protective feathery limbs. Basking in this new source of light, Sunny’s eyes widened at the Unity Crystals rising higher and higher above her, leaning positively over her with a power she couldn’t have imagined in her wildest dreams. Pulsing and growing increasingly loud, the light would have been seen by miles around. With lips agape and her mind trembling in this new experience, her face became brave as she stood firm when shouting the question that twirled off her tongue. Knowing in her heart she should give it a good, not matter how hard it’ll be.
Or how hard it would be...
“Show me what happened to Equestia! Why you are really here! I know, you know! Tell me! What happened to the magic of friendship and why did it fail us?!” . CONTINUE TO PART II
PART II . Sunny yelled as it loomed gratefully over her head, forcing her neck to strain backwards and her eyes to bask as her inexperienced alicorn magic connected and bonded like a radio signal to those overwhelming stones. She felt it. She saw. She... Could see. Freezing her in place, her irises faded and whitened as she stared into images and faces of the past that time capsule-d right through her head. Faces that she didn't recognise, some she did. Faces of friends, of enemies, of... Nightmares. A violently sobbing violet unicorn, no, an Alicorn! Dressed in gold and royal. A scaly, tall, and elegantly purple and green dragon with an expression of deepened memories cuddled the enlarged alicorn before branching into sights and scenes that should have been decorated in black and white photographs. That same familiar Alicorn kneeling over shatters of a broken detailed statue with two other alicorns of pink plastered by horror, clouds of blackness and orange as a castle of crystals were being overshadowed by two great beasts of battle that showed a war of creatures and ponies that crowded the landscape, and then of simply a throne room. A long, carpeted one leading towards a threatening chair consisting of a dark nightly purple alicorn with surprisingly kind eyes and silvery armour. Ruling and serving with black tipped wings that presented itself royally like a sorrowing swan. Those eyes that were sharp, intelligent, and tragic with that noticeable dragon guarding next to her. Medaled with a bright pink spiked gem that starred itself with six points. 'The Element of Magic'... Before disappearing into another scene of a curly haired pink Alicorn with eyes that startled the breath from her lungs. Eyes of toxicity and hate. Glowing the brightest of green with waving arms of purple smog that filtered from her teary cheeks to her sparkling horn that out length a sportful galena.
"Who are you?!" Sunny shouted as voices yelled, whispered, and praised into her sensitive ears that were being overwhelmed. She could hear the words 'Twilight', 'Spike', 'Starswirl', 'Everlight Everlasting' and so many other names that she didn't understand. 'Harmony', 'Discord', 'Forever', 'War'. All popping up as her other worldly body couldn't move a muscle. In the distance of all the information, she could see a silhouette of a creature. A creature that consisted of branching locking horns, a snake like body, a powerful muzzle, and a tail with locks of crystalline gems glittering their head that resembled of memories that were never hers. Feeling her mind digging deeper, her curiosity wanted to see more but her body was collapsing. Heat became to raise as every cell sparked like fireworks underneath her skin. Was she beginning to scream? She didn't know. What was happening? Where was she doing? Did she hear a crying voice?
Then, it all suddenly stopped as she gasped heavily. Trembling so hard as if it was below zero, her face, body, and hair was spirited with newly formed sweat as she could hear weariful sobs. Was that her? Delirious and dreamy, as she raised her hooves to her teary eyes, she wasn't crying... Then it registered, she could feel a tight hold clenching at one of her back legs. Shakily turning her head, Sparky the young and infant dragon cried and yelped softly as fear and worry brightened the child's face. What had she done? Sunny Starscout, finally managing to gain back reality, she got down, so her hooves hovered affectionally over the crying scared dragon that clenched now at Sunny's orange cheeks.
"Oh dear, Equestia! Sparky, I'm so, so sorry! I didn't mean to frighten you, I-I didn't know that was going to happen. What are you even doing out of bed, it’s not safe for you up here, you could catch a cold." Sunny tried to comfort, bring the concerningly crying creature into a loving embrace as the cold air barely touched the hot energy that her body absorbed. As the Unity Crystals floated back to their original spot, clattering and rushing hooves could be heard before a 'woosh’ of a multiple coloured winged pegasus named 'Zipp' arrived with alarmed looks like somepony had broken in.
"By the queen's crown, what in Equestria was that sound?? Are you okay, Sunny? What was that sound? Are either of you hurt?" Zipp rushed as Hitch ran to be at Sunny side and suddenly realised that Sparky was there, his caring instincts kicking in as he soothed and stroked the young dragon's scales as he couldn't release Sunny from his hold. Hitch began to mutter the same questions, Sunny taking deep breathes as she managed a single shake that began the beginning of a hammering headache that carefully knocked the back ends of her legs to go. Panting and grasping the reflecting floor underneath her, that moment of waiting for the floor to stop spinning was what she needed as she managed to regain her footing with Sparky cuddling against her chest. She nodded softly as the next words she spoke became weakened to her ears. Yet to everypony surrounding her, it was their looks of shared shock and surprise along with a question from 'Pipp' that made her redo.
"Wait, what did you just say, Sunny?" Pipp gasped as the light of the crystals reflected in her widened eyes. Sunny gulped as her face slowly flattened towards those same crystals, muttering the same words again but louder for everypony to hear. Including her own ears this time that rung with unharmonized bells of unwanted beats.
"It was her... Everlight Everlasting... She caused all the magic in Equestria to disappear. She did this... All of it..." Sunny lightly gasped. No pony moved; no pony breathed as the cool nightly air chuckled against their colourful hides. Then with a great emotion of confusion, Hitch the sheriff of Maretime Bay simply said this. The question that was on everypony's stunned minds as he stepped forward with a single question,
"Who... Who's 'Everlight Everlasting', Sunny?... Well? Who is it?"
Okay, I absolutely love this AU! One of my favorite AUs ever! I love the idea of G4 and G5 being combined! Also the drawing is absolutely beautiful! A lot is going on.
I love this ! But may I ask the use of the "fake" procreate background? Because at first i thought you did all of this without zooming or anything, and after i noticed it was always on white and the erasers
@Louga Rocia Thank you for the lovely question! The reason behind the fake background and features is simply for aesthetically pleasing purposes only! Because of the recording software I use (Procreate) which is automated by the drawing program itself, it doesn't record me zooming in, rotating the canvas or additional references!
@@InspiredPixels as someone who uses Procreate, I can confirm that the auto recording thing doesn’t record zooming in Honestly, I think it’s easier to watch speedpaints like this lol

Oh this is too perfect, I love the idea of characters like Sunny having to come to terms with such hard truths. Bravo!
@@InspiredPixels woaahh such a cool Story! Amazing how you come up with These!
What brushes do you use?
What about luster dawn?
Tying the AU to G5 was a spectacular idea! I honestly wish that evil Twilight was the canon villain rather than the Alicorn we have.
Atleast she's dead already in G5 because we can see hologram, which implies she's dead for very long time
OOH!! The way the much older Spike on the right has a little pink dot in his pupil like Everlight is awesome!!!
He’s under some sort of spell isn’t he
This image is so pretty! There is so much emotion in it! I love the lighting and the story that goes along with it, amazing work!!!!
