Vhf. yes it is like a repeater, that v-shaped structure at the top of the tower is the recieve part. It was halfway up the tower, the rest got broke off somehow. The shack has a t-5 drop internet access. Im not sure how it all worked to tell you the truth. Prior to this system we had to contact a marine operator on the vhf radio who would patch us through with a phone call. This was usually emergency use only because of the cost involved. The watercomm system we had an actual phone with pushbutton dialing.
