This guy has the most informative videos on TH-cam. I am so glad I found him. I have watched many of his videos since and I just got the local Crawl Space Ninja in my area and had them come out to inspect my crawlspace. They WILL be getting my business and help me resolve my issues here. THANK YOU!
Great timing for this video I just had an affiliate of crawlspace ninja of Charlotte out to my house to address my structural problems and they are many , we’re facing many floor joist, band seals and about half the sub flooring to be replaced a 25 to 28k job and that’s before any encapsulation work to be done along with repiping the home’s entire plumbing system. Then I can give Doug a call to start his part! Here we go!
So sorry to hear about all of the structural problems you're facing, but we're glad they're being addressed and that we're able to help with the encapsulation! We love Doug and his team in Charlotte. :)
Yes, you can absolutely run the dehumidifier drain to the sump pump basin. That is what we do for our encapsulations if a sump pump has been installed.
I want to purchase all the materials to seal my crawl space, I went to your Diy store, but, I first wanted to know if you have a video where you show how to install step by step. I tried looking in your TH-cam channel but with so many videos I could not find it. I also looked on the web site but I did not see one. Could you please point me to a video if there is one, or post one. Thanks!!
We would never use the dimple underlayment in place of the french drain. For us we use the dimple underlayment to protect the plastic in high traffic areas where the plastic may be resting on rock that could puncture it. We don't use it as a drainage matting because we are installing the french drain and the sump pump. I hope that helps thank you for watching.
Excellent point on not draining sump pump discharge into the sewer!
Thank you, we cringe when we see that.

Thank you so much, that really means a lot. So glad we can help.

Great topic and great video. I’ll be ordering stuff next week!
Great Video! Thanks for all that you guys do! Quick question, Would you recommend running the drain from the dehumidifier to the sump basin?

There is a "Product Videos" tab on each of the product pages on our DIY Store that has all related content that should help you with installation. :)
Can the dimple underpayment be used in place of a French drain? My house the water flows to the two ends on its own as they are slopped
