I only recently started watching Stranger Things, and I thought the whole 'Running up that hill' scene might've just been overrated and overhyped to promote the show.... BOY, WAS I WRONG!!! One of the best moments in TV history EVER!!

The fact that it's pretty much guaranteed that Eleven is coming back supports this since while Vecna does have a link to her, greater than the Mindflayer in some regards, and is this season's antagonist, the Mindflayer also has a substantial link to Eleven if the initial expression she displayed when she and Mindflayer!Billy duked it out is anything to go by - you don't look at someone that way unless you know exactly who they are and you've got some serious beef with them. Also, since Season 2, the Mindflayer has been in every season since it is affectively the Darkseid/BBEG of the show, so we are definitely going to see them again to some degree.
