You are one of the most likeable and best (Chopin) piano teachers and players. Every tutorial is a real treasure.
Thank you for the great work on these pieces!
Thanks !!! It's so nice to hear!
Just upgraded to gold membership, because these videos are pure gold! I cannot thank you enough for what you are doing here, for your hard work and generosity, and for breathing so much life and energy into the music you play, my whole outlook on music (and on other aspects of life too) is changing for the better...I'll be quiet until I have learned Hanon in C# (the first half anyway!) but I will keep watching and learning, thank you so so much Greg for being such an inspirational teacher and excellent human being!
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it! Your words and support. I will keep uploading more content in between concerts. I love doing that and seeing how important it is for people around the world! All the best! Greg
This man, this concert pianist, this piano teacher, this 'Greg', so kind and profound, so sincere and selfless, is truly a blessing from heaven.
Thank you so much 🙏
thanks for the excellent suggestion not to keep the notes of the main melody held but rather use the pedal: I put the advice into practice and verified that not only does it significantly increase the speed and uniformity of the sounds, but above all it significantly increases and improves the overall resulting sonority 🙏
Fantastic tutorial, and wonderfully played!
Thank you!
Hi Greg! I have used your one bar fast and relaxed method for Beethoven Pathetique 1. movement broken oktaves in the left hand. Works wonderfully. Now it improves. Thanks. 🙋♀️
I'm so happy!!! Indeed it works also for other pieces!
Like always wonderful performance:both emotional and technical. Thank you 🙏
Nareszcie jest, chyba moje ulubione
great !!! never heard before !!!
GREAT MAESTRO THANKS!💯🙋♂️
Thanks for doing these preludes Greg. I've been stuck on this one for a while at the putting hands together stage. I can only ever think about one hand at a time as you said, or I can do it by reading vertically but my brain has twice the work to do and I can only play very very slowly. I like your approach here, its like driving a car: we do so many things like shifting gear, checking mirrors, signalling, turning all subconsciously when our conscious says "slow down and turn". Will give it a try thanks!
Good luck!
"Etude....." do we know if this was at least sketched before Mallorca?? This tutorial brings home what an achievement it must be to play all 24 Preludes instead of a Sonata at the Chopin Competition. Enjoyable as well as instructive, as always - thanks😃😃
This is way beyond my ability. But there are a few prelude I can play. So I will look forward to all those videos and of course the few I can practice and play better.
Day 8 of no upload. Sadness.
I am sorry. I am in Indonesia now, I have a concert in two days here, I will upload new videos very soon ! 😊 You can look at my calendar on my website www.niemczuk.com
But ... when Greg says to practice Hanon first, does he mean all the ... 60, I think, Hanon exercises?
No no, first 31 is enough
