    Got one and absolutely love it ! Can't recommend it enough, best club I've ever had
    11.5* cranked up to 12* and nail the fairways even in the wind

    Got one. Love it. I've never been very constant at hitting a 3W off the deck, so I used my 3W as an accurate driver. I bought the 13.5 degree model and turned it up to 14.5 degrees. Works great as an accurate driver off the tee. However I've noticed, hitting off the deck is passable. Definitely replaced my 3W. The ONLY thing I wish they done was offer a bubble shaft ;)

    I love the look of this driver. Might have to look into buying it next year when the price comes down.

    I got the 11.5 and lengthened from 43.75 to 44.25 and have never looked back. Way longer than my Titleist TSR2 4 wood 16.5 off the ground and honestly maybe 5-10 yards short of my driver which was the Callaway Epic Speed, which I had cut down to 45" from 45.75 for control. The Mini is way more accurate and forgiving off the tee. So all in all I find the 11.5 to be a legit driver replacement. I don't like it as a fairway wood replacement - even the 13.5 because if you can hit that off the ground, you could hit a 13* 3 wood off the ground too. So to me it is a driver replacement for people who hate big drivers.

    Bought one last week but haven't played with it yet. But in the cage I hit the 13.5 degree (which I had them turn up to a 14.5) 240 off the tee and pretty darn straight and I hit one off the deck 275 clean and dead straight. So I'm excited for it. I'm looking to use this as a 3 wood.

    As a lefty, the only way to try it is to buy it! Already have to do that with the clubs in my bag so no chance of this going in!

  • @discr1709
    @discr1709 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So weird. As a 14 handicap I have learned over time that I'm just as likely to mishit a higher lofted club like a 5 wood as I am my driver. I'm actually more accurate with my driver, as I've learned to hit a punch-type option that gives me 230-240 yards. I shorten my backswing and concentrate on a smooth tempo and it usually gets me out there safely. With higher lofted clubs that are teed down lower, I find that I bring in the fat miss, which I never do with driver due to tee height.

  • @SvingitGolf

    They nailed it with the Aeroburner Mini Driver. I had the 12* version and it was H_O_T. After that they lost a lot in the mini driver department with the original one and the 300 mini driver. none of them was as hot as the Aeroburner mini driver. I haven't got the chance to test the Burner mini driver.

    • @2ndswing

      Kevin is a HUGE fan of this newest one. Maybe we should test the Aeroburner vs the BRNR mini !

    Can I ask Kevin Kraft a question? What previous cycle brand/model 5 wood would he recommend I look at to fill out my bag? I’ve got brand X driver, will very likely shortly get this Taylormade BRNR mini from Minnetonka, and then will have my brand X (no, not PXG) 9 wood (and 3 hybrid bagged over the 9 wood on windy days). Stronger than traditional loft 5 iron below the 9W/3h. One or two brands to check out for the 5W? Want the cost savings of used and one generation ago… as in, G425 not G430. I don’t really know the generation names of non-Ping brands currently. Thoughts?

    I bought one the day it came to the UK. Amazing club for sure. Can’t find a new one over here now. I also found the shaft a bit weak too and need custom shaft.

    Did I miss it but is the heavy weight in the front or back for the testing? Also I know you turned the loft down but how did you adjust it to be more upright?

    Another question for ya did you test the PXG Black Ops Fairway wood ? I have narrowed it down to the Black Ops and the Qi10 Max in a 7 wood out of those two which would be best for forgiveness and distance and height ? I look forward to your thoughts ? oh and another question : your thoughts on the Taylormade BRNR Mini Driver 13.5 degree to gap between my driver and my Hywood 17 degree ? thx cheers from Canada

    I use a TSI 2 9* Driver for windy days (low and go). And a TSI 3 15* Fairway for a driver every other day.
    Im going to place my TSI 2 Driver head on the same shaft as my TSI Fairway.
    A TSR 4 or BRNR might be an option for me to try.

    this club is great and the shaft is designed for a 95 mph swinger, at 105 mph, the shaft lacks mass and torques too much and spins too much. a follow up test in the studio with a custom fit shaft is a must. Please do not over look the opportunity to test this club properly indoors for those of us who are highly interested in the category and performance offered only by this clubhead.

  • @SvingitGolf
    @SvingitGolf ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Can't you do a fitting were you try to optimize the numbers with the right shaft?

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes for sure -- our fitters do that in store every day. For the purposes of Swing Report videos we try to just review the clubs with the stock shafts.

    I love the mini driver, I just find the irony extremely funny.
    Taylormade marketing buzzwords "Carbonwood is the future"
    Taylormade product development team "Um....I guess we misheard you"
    I would have been more impressed if they had the carbon fiber face like on the stealth. That would have really nailed and proved that carbon fiber face woods can and are successful

  • @tomsanger5548
    @tomsanger5548 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Its a 2 wood. Call it what it really is. Modern drivers have the longer shafts & if you don't have a big arc swing letting the shaft do the work for you then you will be missing the point of the design of the modern drivers. Most mid to high handicappers have a tight restrictive swing so the mini "2 wood" will work just as good as a normal driver but have better accuracy, more length than a 3 wood & a bigger face than a 3. Just a bunch of hype.
