- #anilandteam #krishnariver #telangana #andhrapradesh #ap #ts #apvsts #waterissues Velugodu Reservoir is a balancing reservoir and located across the Galeru river, a tributary of Kundu River in Penner River basin, at Velugodu town in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.This reservoir is part of Telugu Ganga project and mainly fed by gravity canal from back waters of Srisailam Dam through Pothireddypadu head / flow regulator located across the feeder canal. Velugodu Reservoir has gross storage capacity of 16.95Tmcft at 265 m MSL full reservoir level.

The only solution lies with nationalisation of permanent water rivers and the projects built. Govt. Of India based on the water availability, surplus wayer, cultivated dry lands, drinking water needs of people etc., has to bring out the share of these States is important. The time and quantum of water to be used by these States for power generation(hydro electricity) should also be worked out. Political bastards should be kept at distance . The entire process is to be carried out by experts of engineers, retired Supreme Court judges and water management specialists. Based on their recommendations, an act is to be introduced in Parliament.
