This pizzeria is also located at Cidade Jardim, which is one of the best shopping malls in latin america, and it has an AMAZING view, and this mall is a place I recommend to go to have a fancy dinner on its rooftop, not only great pizzas, but a lot of great dinner options with that view of the city

I'm originally from NY and no New Yorker would ever use utensils when eating pizza. However, in NY toppings are uncommon. Many New Yorkers say that toppings are only for tourists. So the pizza is very easy to eat by hand. In Sao Paulo it appears to be very different. Toppings are what it's all about.
I just started watching your videos recently and I'm enjoying them a lot since I'm planning my very first visit to Brazil, including Sao Paulo, for April and May of this year.

You're right, the pasta is different, the concept is different but both are excellent, both from NY and Brazil. You would love the creativity of Brazilians, they make unbelievable and delicious combinations. This creativity is not only found in pizza, you need to see the sophisticated but affordable Hot-dogs on almost every corner... etc...). At parties they serve such snacks, the most famous is the "Coxinha" found in all snack bars and bakeries. The barbecues are incredible.

You're right brother. Brazilian pizza is closer to british pizza then american, but with fresh toppings included. Not just salami and blue cheese and strong stuff like that, but should have palmito, or light creamy cheese (catupiry), or fresh tomatoes and basil. Pizza without lots of toppings and tons of cheese here are called cheap and low quality

Porém eu garanto a vcs meus amigos..
A culinária italiana é sazonal..

    About fork and knife...|
I think that we develop this habbit of eaten it with fork and knife, just to not get ours hands dirty... as you may have notice... we are a very warm and touchy kind of people... so, we use our hands a lot to greeting, to touch people... so.. i my opinion, that`s why we are always avoiding to touch the food directly... even when it`s not pizza... If you get into a party for example, and they had some appertiseres, probably you`ll see some napkins or some toothpicks to get the food... just to not get your hands dirty... we are very worriend about being clean all the time.

If it's in a restaurant, I usualy use fork+knife, but if I go to a mall to eat fast food pizza or get it delivered, I always use my hands. Pizza is definitely one of the most popular foods Brazilians eat. We love our pizzas! The dough can differ immensely from place to place, and I for one love the thicker ones. That's usually what sets them apart: being able to make a good quality dough is a game changer. Some toppings are pretty standard and traditional, while others are exclusive to that specific pizzeria, so that makes them unique. Regarding the use of fork and knife, I would say that we use them when sitting down, especially in a pizzeria or at the mall, but I would 100% grab it with my hands (and a napkin) in a different environment (or at home). Last but not least: holy sh¡t, that was incredibly expensive. You can find great pizza for almost a third of that price, you don't have to pay that much. I'm in shock.

some Brazilians comment here that they do use their hands to eat out. It's fact. But it's not that common. Brazilians reject eating out without using cutlery, as this is considered rude. When they do, they use napkins to touch finger food, for example. A famous chain of fried chicken restaurants did not prosper in Brazil, and one reason was that people had to pick up chicken with their hands.

The first time I ate an italian pizza with my italian friends was one described as 'ham, cheese and egg' so the first thing I thought that was their equivalent of our 'portuguesa' but when it came I got an individual plate size pizza with a almost raw egg on the middle of that... as I like raw egg it wasn't a big problem! :D
