FOR EVERYONE COMMENTING ABOUT NO GLOVES: we wear them when we need to. ALSO: we clean and sanitize ALL of our finds. If something can't be disinfected, we toss it! We had this all as a pinned comment and it all got deleted, so here it is again!
I believe that's a lie that retailers put out so that employees don't fight/beg/or seek entitlements to discarded products. Restaurants and grocery stores routinely give prepared food and groceries to shelters and food pantries. I also know women who sell Mary Kay and donate their unsold inventory to women's shelters for the tax write off. I also know for a fact that some Macys and Nordstrom cosmetic counters will take (gently) used products and place them back into inventory because they don't want to lose the sale.
@LiesbetNelston But yet that need for people's safety doesn't preclude the food industry from donating food. An industry where regulations and safety standards/guidelines are incredibly stringent and the likelihood of people becoming ill is far greater. There's a much higher chance for those of us who actually buy cosmetics to have an allergic reaction and a cause for litigation, than those who are in transient circumstances.
Because people have lied about donating it and selling it for themselves. Our Ulta destroys every single item. We share a trash can with 4 other stores one being Panda Express
Amanda Marie because the company feels wronged because they try to say you should buy it. Also if it's not protected by the public domain law then you can get into a lot of trouble. Not necessarily. I was under the same assumption, but even if dumpster diving is legal in the U.S. or your state, your city can still outlaw the action. Just look up "(your city name) municipal code" and search for disposal/garbage/container interference laws.
Although this is not something I'd do myself (no hate, just personal preference 😁) I really enjoy watching you girls. It looks like fun and I get so excited for you when you find something great!
That is an insane amount of stuff! Makes me so heartbroken seeing perfectly good things thrown away. Also, I hope you guys cleaned up and out everything back in the dumpster... don't make other people do extra work
tams121 being an employee from Ulta all I have to say is that my store actually damages any returns and destroys them to the point where nobody can use them if they dumpster dive.
Amaya Rose there's videos of ppl doing dumpster dives at mall stores like Victorias Secret cuz at the end of the day they all take the trash out to dumpsters outside so you could still try :]
I actually went and dived tonight for the first time! I took my two friends with me and we actually found some things surprisingly. We found about 22 salvageable items and out of the 3 of us, we each got about 6 to 8 items. Of course they were all messed up on the outside, but we can clean them off and disinfectant them. We're going back tomorrow night !!
In the town I live in it's against the law to do this. They will charge you with theft. To them its the same as stealing. I don't agree with this law. They throw it away so I feel like once its in the dumpster its free game. It's wasteful. Please be careful.
I know. I don't get why in some countries it's against the law. If you threw it away you don't need it anymore. In my country we do this on purpose so homeless people can get a use of this. We usually put in a box a bunch of clothes or shoes that we don't need anymore and we put it beside the trash.
Pam Bell If they make it illegal to dumpster dive, they also ought to make it illegal to waste product. Suzanna Girl, if I was an Ulta employee I'd ENCOURAGE people. I love name brand makeup, as I buy it myself, but I cannot tell you how many times I've considered dumpster diving myself because prices are just obnoxious. I hate wasting $90 on 2-3 items. I have the money to buy it, but it's ridiculous, so why not look in a dumpster, disinfect the items, and enjoy them for yourself? I think it's pretty damn clever.
I love makeup & I shop at ulta a lot so I get why employees of the stores would be mad if other stores aren't following certain guidelines..however I'm more mad stores like ulta don't donate products they don't use to people who can't afford them like homeless shelters, abuse recovery places, etc..instead of just simply wasting product like that..
Theres some perfectly good products in this haul and I see some Ulta workers commenting saying "theres reasons we throw out those products, we don't want to waste makeup." although they look perfectly fine, not used products. I would totally do this!
Julia Krause I also work for ulta and in my experience we throw away products when they are return for what reason, even if a costumer says they didn't use it, but there no seals we throw it away. Also we throw away old testers when the company re packages or send us new products that's 90% of what ur finding. Sure other weird things MAY be apart of it but it's rare tbh.
I work for Ulta too and we make sure to damage those items because we have a compactor style trash and people like her will go in there and take stuff so we just damage everything and I mean everything. To the last eyeshadow. We have had people go into the compactor and try to get things out and almost die so we damage everything our and literally crush everything as soon as we dump it. We don't waste make up we dump them because they are returns and testers some testers go bad while staying there for so long.
Julia Krause lmao you do waste makeup though all of it goes to land fills and its impacting the inviroment 😊 (also just cause you work at ulta doesnt mean your shit, so dont act like your gods gift to the world honey)
Emily C. No one is acting like gods. Calm down. Don't need to get nippy we are just explaining why we do what we do. So if you just came to the comment to get smart and start drama please don't. We have recycling bin and a trash bin. We separate everything and put it in the bin it belongs in. Not like what show here ok thanks 😊😊
My aunt works at ulta and they r required to destroy products before they dispose of them so that dumpster divers don't take them. Half the products they throw out have been used and returned
Everyone's saying how this is gross. Did you not see? They only got stuff that was in boxes or actually usable. Sure it touched trash, but they disinfect it all. If you have a problem with this then don't waste time and comment an unneeded comment?
My cousin is a manager at ulta and it's super nasty some of the stuff they do to these products just to get "revenge" on dumpster divers. Even if it's in a box you have no idea what has been done to these products.... just saying.
Alivia Keir REVENGE ON DUMPSTER DIVER'S ? YOUR COUSIN IS A CHILDISH BITCH THAT NEEDS TO GROW UP .. YOUR SUPER ANNOYING! NO FUKN SENSE COMMENTS .. REVENGE ON DUMPSTER DIVER'S LMAOOOO ..
Omg im so happy for yall!! I went to an ulta and i found just one item but watching your video is giving me hope to keep trying!! Thanks guys! I hope yall keep finding things ❤ First time watching a video of yours 🙃
Brenda Urias I found out when my Ultas garbage day is which is a Monday so I think they keep the good stuff before then and finally throw everything out the night before garbage day so I go every sunday
Brenda Urias I went for my first time yesterday found one thing also girl . My ultras garbage day is Monday but I went Sunday night and found nothing but jlo sunglasses maybe someone got to it before me
I used to work at ulta and we throw those products away because they're returns and they were returned with the seal broken, the testers are thrown away cause they were out for people to test for too long and anything else thrown away I promise is for a reason, we also throw that all away with other trash like the bathroom trash and break room trash, this is honestly very disgusting because you can't properly sanitize the products or use the makeup that was thrown away cause it expired. Just save up your money and buy it yourself, using thrown away products on your face isn't worth it, especially the brushes (that were testers for people to run their hands across and feel) that are thrown in there for all the bacteria to cling onto
You guys probably shouldn't do this during the day, it's better to wait until the store closes. If they catch you, they'll probably stop throwing the stuff away and it'll ruin it for yourself and other people who also enjoy dumpster diving.
Aesthetic Howell // they'll never stop throwing stuff away and it's not against the law so they'd probably just shoo you off or give you a warning bc it can be dangerous.
Abbzy Luckzy no its not against the law unless the dumpster is fenced in with locked gates, has a no trespassing sign, or is actually touching the building. If the dumpster is just out there or the gate fence is open- no laws broken. Its public property.
iloveSeungHyun09 It was a tester, our guess is that they got a new one in so they got rid of that one. It still never makes sense when we find brand new palettes
Stephanie Christine dumpster diving isn't illegal in a lot of places bc it's not really stealing if it's been thrown away. Most people who dumpster dive sanitize EVERYTHING before they even use it bc duh, germs. "Damaged" makeup isnt disgusting either lol I've dropped plenty eyeshadow pallets and they're just fine 🤗
Bridget M it actually is and if you get caught ulta can press charges on you it's trespassing and you aren't suppose to be stealing makeup out of the trash it's disgusting and unsanitary.
My older sister worked at ulta she was the manager for a little bit and she said that, when a product is "not good" they go into this one room and destroy the makeup or they give it to there employees but they throw it out because it's no longer a "working product" or sometimes they get loads of bad reviews they throw it away ( this had nothing to do with the video but oh well) btw the brushes are sometimes used by customers and they just throw them away,,
You guys are great. And I personally think that dumpspter diving is a great way to get makeup that you dont want to pay hundereds for. I mean damn is makeup expensive, and if you can get it for free? YOU GO GIRL. I would like to do this as soon as the Ulta near me opens! Congrats on all the makeup!💓
Everyone's making comments about being brave and how much stuff you got and I'm sitting here like, "That purple scarf just wanted to be loved!" Lol Great haul
I like the haul portion of the video, not so much of the dumpster diving. I personally would not use any mascara or lip glosses or concealer with doe foot applicators that have been opened or used. There isn't a way to sanitize the product in the tube that has been contaminated by the wand. Tfs.
Well a lot of the items they found are tester products which is why employees wouldn't want them/aren't allowed to take them. I for one wouldn't want to use something hundreds of people touched their face with, that's so unsanitary.
The stores are very strict about the employees taking stuff. Bags are sometimes even checked at the end of the day. At least Macy's does it. They would rather throw it in the dumpster than give it away to the employees. It's store policy.
I find it sad that companies throw stuff like this out..people are in need and sometimes makeup does make a person feel better...but what do I know I'm not a stuck up makeup guru or saleswoman at a makeup store just a person who was in a abuse shelter at one time
Such videos break my heart. There are thousands of people who can't afford that makeup, in many countries it's not even imported and then shops just throw out makeup like that. I recently discovered what Dumpster hauls is and been watching videos. Pretty interesting and mind blowing how much makeup is destroyed and just put in the trash.
Besides the obvious of being in a dumpster, aren't you a little grossed out that most not all are testers that's been handled and used by who knows? Y'all are brave I give you that!
Julie R11 don't they use different brushes to use the testers? Not trying to be rude just a legitimate question. And you could use running alcohol after you break up the eyeshadow, it could clean it and did it as well.
Ok I get why people are so Grossed out by dumpster diving but why watch?? Oh it comes on my time line.. plenty of things come on my timeline and I ignore it! I don't watch want I am not interested in. I dumpster dived for make up in the past and it was all new products, these companies get new items in constantly "the newest hot makeup" they have to get it on the shelves so cosmetics that are not sold are trashed, all of makeup trashed are testers. These companies are FOR PROFIT that's why they DO NOT donate they are interested in making as much money as they can off the consumer! That's why I support dumpster diving, consumerism runs this country, I also work very hard and make pretty good money but 45.00 for a palette?? No! For me anyway. Everyone has a right to be grossed out but I just think if it's Negative and you don't like what you just politely scroll to the next video
Giyongchycocochanel well if you checked how long ago I wrote this comment you would see it wasn't meant for you! Like I said don't watch if you do not like it, people need to stop putting hate on videos they do not Like just scroll on and I bet you watched all the way through the whole video! Shaking my head, get a life and don't direct no bullshit towards me
All the negative comments are from ulta employees who didn't think to do this xD. There are ways to disinfect cosmetics that are quick and easy. I wouldn't use brushes, though.
My sis had to take me to her work for this event at mac she work a mac they told me and her to take these boxes to the trash my sis alway park her car near the dumpster she say all that makeup she told me to open her car she put the box when we got home it was full of makeup I got to keep half and she keep half
So my things is obviously some of y'all are like hating. It's funny how when you read the comments some employees are on here mad like you guys are stealing and then some are on here like it's old anyways. which makes me think somebody is lying. So like my thing is like leave them alone also some makeup takes a really long time to expire so y'all lying when y'all are like most of it is like expired as I stare at like dermablend products. So what if they dumpster dive leave them alone.
Don't recommend using the tartiest palette because it's a tester because people stick their fingers in it and u can get little microscopic bugs in your eyes look it up plz that's not sanitary
Not many people would be brave enough to do this and I think you are amazing 😉 for doing this, but can we just point out that a bunch of places throw out perfectly good makeup while people struggle just to buy one product. I don't understand why all these places don't put them in bags and give them away on certain days at certain times. That's such a waste. YOU GO GIRL!!!
THATS IT IM CONVINCED. I’ve watched way too many dumpster diving videos and I finally decided I’m going dumpster diving for makeup I STG YALL GOT ME CONVINCED
I can understand how these products can be “sanitized” to some extent, however, can someone please explain to me how a cream or liquid product can be thoroughly sanitized in order to meet the standard or acceptability in which these products are no longer a risk for transmitting highly contagious or infectious diseases? There is also the risk of sticking yourself with hypothermic needles that have been disposed of improperly as well as exposing yourself to bodily fluids (disposed of in tissues, cotton pads, etc.) that can also carry infectious diseases. If all of this can be easily “sanitized” using rubbing alcohol, medical facilities would not designate special “biohazard” receptacles for this purpose. What is even harder to understand is why would someone risk their health just for the sake of acquiring an amount of beauty products that, within all normal reasoning, would not be able use up in all of their lifetime? I know most of you would say something to the extent of “Not everyone can afford high end products”, but one would argue that if these products were thrown out, it is highly unlikely that these products are going to perform the same as if they were in their former new/unopened glory before all the swatching, testing, contamination (bacterial or viral), sanitation and whatever else that contributed to them ending up in the dumpster in the first place. Wouldn’t it just be more sensible to purchase affordable drugstore products that, at the end of the day, probably could outperform the contaminated “higher end” products? Are brand names that important? I am not bashing on them, just trying to understand for the most part. To each his/her own :)
Jassmin A. Girl your phone and hands are on your face everyday...you do realize your hands have SO SO many germs on them, even if you wash them multiple times a day..
Chlobo101 you shouldn't of told her lol you should've just been like "oh yeah my friend has all this makeup that they're aunt gives them but they don't wear it so they just gave it all to me" or some shit
Most of them (such as the naked brushes) seem to be brand new, just thrown away because they only need the palette as a tester and a brush would just fall out
I hope you girls are donating some of this stuff. I use to own a salon and any over stock we had I donated to the women's shelter. You have no idea how much they need and appreciate personal care items. They so often leave abusive situations with just the clothes on their backs.
Generally, there aren't set days that stores throw away their garbage. If their bin is full they take it out to the dumpster, just like people do at their homes. They use to have a set day that they would throw out return boxes, but because of TH-cam and videos like these that make dumpster diving popular, they don't have any type of set days at all anymore as far as I'm aware. Dumpster diving is more luck than anything now. The best thing you can do is go often, at different times and on different days. Did you rip the bags open or just look to see if you could find anything floating around?
Honestly to everyone who says "we throw those out for a reason" and are rude about it, there are worse things that people do and it's not you're time/ your face so I don't understand why you care so much and take time out of your own day to put people down.
If I ever went dumpster diving, I would only keep the brushes, new makeup (maybe even the slightly used ones if I really want it), and the makeup products in bottles.
When you have the best mom ever that is swimming in a trash bin for your makeup☺️.this is actually genious.and boi you found the tartest pro pallet like WOW😃
I actually did this & went to the dumpster at my ultra with my friend for a week straight & all they threw away was boxes card board designs of makeup they had out. I was extremely excited to do this & almost cried when it was a bust.😭
I use Dermablend because it literally covers everything and it's the best makeup I've ever used in my entire life. but that crap is so expensive af, worth it though!
Lauren Emmett I'd try and find another Ulta around you it sounds like the managers there have the employees destroy all makeup before throwing it out, a lot of the stores do that so people can't do what they're doing because technically it's losing them money cuz if we get products like that we're not buying them inside and some people will try and even return them to the store which is stealing. You have to keep looking and you'll find one around you that doesn't destroy before tossing.
Catie Quinn I've since been able to have good and pretty good. saved plenty even the ugly. i only have 2 locations that are pretty close. i may have to explore further. i know there are still some that toss away nicely because i see on other channels and instagram. but I've certainly found plenty since my original post. i totally thought my ULTA was never going to throw anything away. however tis true depending in who is working the stuff will be unrecognizable and not salvageable. other times I'm like oh this is wonderful hooray! you can peep my channel if you'd like to see my diving hauls. thanks for commenting. people questioning the word soup made me feel i commented in the wrong video. 😂💟♻🚯
I used to be a manager at Ulta and this is actually really interesting.... like my store would damage everything out.. we cut the brushes, cut the lipstick, took out and smashed the eye shadows, we would dump the perfume all over the products, conditioner and shampoo bottles would get dumped all over the products, we cut the cords.. basically we destroyed everything to the point no one could get anything and also made it really gross enough so no one would want to use the products we couldn't really destroy(btw damage Day was so fun and sad at the same time)...so it's pretty surprising that they got all this stuff😂😂 good for them, one time on my shift I had one of the girls go take out the trash and she saw some lady dumpster diving and we had to call security and they were literally a store away so they got the lady and I'm pretty sure they called the police since it's illegal to do this😀😀but I'm not sure
FOR EVERYONE COMMENTING ABOUT NO GLOVES: we wear them when we need to. ALSO: we clean and sanitize ALL of our finds. If something can't be disinfected, we toss it! We had this all as a pinned comment and it all got deleted, so here it is again!
Dumpster Haulics adoro muito você sou de coroados Estado de São Paulo mi manda alguma coisinha 💗bjss ti adoro 😍😍😍
Do you give some of these away, or sell it?
You should be wearing gloves the entire time 🙄
There is also no way to sanitize liquid lipsticks/lip gloss, mascara or felt tip/brush tip pen liners.
Dumpster Haulics u we’re wearing gloves there dumb
@@vargotee Your comment doesn't make sense.
Y'all got some balls to go during the day
paloma14903 I would be scared asf
paloma14903 best comment ever
paloma14903 could she get in trouble for that ???
Homeschool Hearts it's not illegal in my state but I've never done it
baily bashrum i live in Texas and it's legal to dumpster dive. But it is illegal to go into a private property and dig through someone's trash.
Does anyone else wanna work at ulta just to "throw" the trash away 😂😂
Tyler Hoeseph It sound soooo good 😂
Tyler Hoeseph ALSO |-/ CLIQUE FAM
Tyler Hoeseph YESSS 😂😂 Do you have snapchat?

Did anyone else after watching this video want to go and do this
i did
I wanna go wash up in bleach.
Lmao me
Me
I do
Literally a representation of "one mans trash is another mans treasure"
Sophia Padron true af
Consumerism is such a huge problem in developed countries, so at least these products are going to be used instead of going to a landfill
Diamond exactly. I don't know why these stores don't donate this stuff to a shelter.
literally would pay you to go dumpster dive for me and then send it to me😂
nicole marie same
Sameeee😂😂
So you would pay thousands of dollars for someone to do this ?
What time of day do y'all do this?
Wouldn't pay thousands but depends on what they find but yeah i would pay money for them to do it for me
To the people saying this is fake she is not going to by all that stuff to put in the bin and then show on camera
OMG you girls hit the mother load and nothing was DAMAGED!!! ( I wish my dumpster dive was like this one 😲😲😲😲😲😲 AWESOME DIVE
One man's trash is another man's treasure! In this case woman's lol
Ashley Williams 😂😂😩😫
Ashley Williams guys can wear make up
Olivia rae Cool?? Nobody said they couldn't. She said woman because the person in the video is a woman...
Men wear makeup too no hate though
it's such a waste. why wouldn't they donate to a woman's shelter?
Paula Hillier because ulta and other makeup stores aren't allowed to sell/donate testers or makeup that was taken back because of hygiene reasons
I believe that's a lie that retailers put out so that employees don't fight/beg/or seek entitlements to discarded products. darkangel15221 or they're actually genuinely concerned for the safety of people.....
@LiesbetNelston But yet that need for people's safety doesn't preclude the food industry from donating food. I always wondered if two fellow dumpster divers came at the same time, if it gets crazy and competitive lol
blissellie yes it does!
It does!!
Lmao i bring my boyfriend
i went with my mom and her friend and they fought over a brand new futon xD we where at a furniture store xD
LMAO.... I feel like if I wanted to start doing this someone would fight me bc I'm on their "turf" lol.
I'd be too nervous to do what you all are going. If I find one bag, if I did that, I'd run so quickly and leave.
Nervous of what?
Being caught.
Pearl Perez-Crooks it's not illegal or anything
I know it's not illegal, just me and my nervous self.
Pearl Perez-Crooks it depends on your state or local laws i believe. it's not legal here.
How is it stealing when it's considered trash anyway ?
Amanda Marie because the company feels wronged because they try to say you should buy it. Also if it's not protected by the public domain law then you can get into a lot of trouble. So if you're considering look up your public domain laws in your state most of the time it's just don't do it if you see it's private property or a no trespassing sign . Because it is not there property 🤦♀️
I would like to try dumpster diving, but I'm such a chicken.
mclxo120 same
It’s technically not illegal if the dumper your diving in is not up against a building or locked.
I watch vids of people dumpster diving and i'm the same way idk if i could do it lol
chickens are great, you'll do great
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♀️😂😂😂
Although this is not something I'd do myself (no hate, just personal preference 😁) I really enjoy watching you girls. It looks like fun and I get so excited for you when you find something great!

Andrea Jaramillo honestly
Dumpster Haulics, Wich Ulta are you at?
Andrea Jaramillo
That is an insane amount of stuff! Makes me so heartbroken seeing perfectly good things thrown away. Also, I hope you guys cleaned up and out everything back in the dumpster... don't make other people do extra work
tams121 we always clean everything up (:
tams121 maybe they throw them out cause they're out of date?
and sometimes they throw away things that people have returned
tams121 being an employee from Ulta all I have to say is that my store actually damages any returns and destroys them to the point where nobody can use them if they dumpster dive.
Ladyxoxo lol
I really want to do this but my ulta is at the mall 😭 and I'd be too scared to do this
Amaya Rose there's videos of ppl doing dumpster dives at mall stores like Victorias Secret cuz at the end of the day they all take the trash out to dumpsters outside so you could still try :]
ShannonD9 I know just scared to get caught
Amaya Rose SAME
what happens when u get caught
Pizza you probably just get embarrassed... it's not illegal
The irony of that "urban decay" display though...america is so beyond wasteful.
Emily Rodriguez that's so deep tbh wow

It’s not against the law in almost any state in the U.S. unless there’s a “No Trespassing/ Private/Property” sign.
Pam Bell
If they make it illegal to dumpster dive, they also ought to make it illegal to waste product. Stores should be made to either discount damaged/missing/expired product, or give it away to charity, rather than throw it away, and then prosecute dumpster divers.

Jade Kazi in the store I work we put everything in special bins
Theres some perfectly good products in this haul and I see some Ulta workers commenting saying "theres reasons we throw out those products, we don't want to waste makeup." although they look perfectly fine, not used products. I would totally do this!
Tuners yea!! Plus all those makeup bags/brush holders !!
We went dumpster diving and all we found was a bloody tampon 🤦♂️ 😂
Ainsley Weber Lmaoo. R.i.p. Im sorry girl.😂
Ainsley Weber lmfaaaoooo best comment

How is digging through a dumpster for makeup not gross lmao.
EILEENA NEVAEH some employees get in trouble for not destroying the make up where it can’t be used
plant1ng they got a bottle of water out of the trash in another video.
THIS VIDEO MADE ME NERVOUS AF LMAOOOO !!
LINKXWORKOUT & BEAUTY me too!!!
Omg im so happy for yall!! I went to an ulta and i found just one item but watching your video is giving me hope to keep trying!! Thanks guys! I hope yall keep finding things ❤ First time watching a video of yours 🙃
Brenda Urias you just gotta keep trying! Good luck! :D
Brenda Urias I found out when my Ultas garbage day is which is a Monday so I think they keep the good stuff before then and finally throw everything out the night before garbage day so I go every sunday
Brenda Urias I went for my first time yesterday found one thing also girl . My ultras garbage day is Monday but I went Sunday night and found nothing but jlo sunglasses maybe someone got to it before me
Brenda Urias u probably found one thing cuz they took it all😂
I used to work at ulta and we throw those products away because they're returns and they were returned with the seal broken, the testers are thrown away cause they were out for people to test for too long and anything else thrown away I promise is for a reason, we also throw that all away with other trash like the bathroom trash and break room trash, this is honestly very disgusting because you can't properly sanitize the products or use the makeup that was thrown away cause it expired. Just save up your money and buy it yourself, using thrown away products on your face isn't worth it, especially the brushes (that were testers for people to run their hands across and feel) that are thrown in there for all the bacteria to cling onto
lex m thank u
They LITTERALLY run rubbing alchohol through and over. They haven't gotten a disease. You'd rather LITTER than let people be happy?
Honey.. do you know how rubbing alcohol works? tf you mean "can't properly sanitize"?
They through away soooo many stuff and they cant give me a single tester? wth
Testers are not meant to be given away. Perhaps you mean, 'sample'
I am so jealous lmao
You guys probably shouldn't do this during the day, it's better to wait until the store closes. If they catch you, they'll probably stop throwing the stuff away and it'll ruin it for yourself and other people who also enjoy dumpster diving.
Aesthetic Howell // they'll never stop throwing stuff away and it's not against the law so they'd probably just shoo you off or give you a warning bc it can be dangerous.
Abbzy Luckzy no it's not in a lot of states
Abbzy Luckzy no its not against the law unless the dumpster is fenced in with locked gates, has a no trespassing sign, or is actually touching the building. If the dumpster is just out there or the gate fence is open- no laws broken. Its public property.
Can I ask why are they throwing out a completely brand new Tarteist Pro palette? :( Why couldn't they have put it out as a tester?
iloveSeungHyun09 It was a tester, our guess is that they got a new one in so they got rid of that one. It still never makes sense when we find brand new palettes
iloveSeungHyun09 prob a return??? they can't put it back out if its a return
Stephanie Christine lmao why u trippin, aint nobody hurting u🤣🤣🤣
Stephanie Christine girl u crazy! Every dumpster diver I've seen on youtube say they sanitise everything!!! Like obviously, who want germy makeup
Omg I'm living for this channel
thank you! 💖
Dumpster Haulics OMG same cause I've always wanted to do this to get tons of free makeup
it's literally my guilty pleasure watching these
Videos like this make me wanna go dumpster diving sooo bad 😂
Wait is this not illegal if I did this I would literally grab one thing and sprint what if someone catches u lmao
Bridget M it depends on the state I think, but usually if you throw something away, they're free game for anyone
Bridget M in some states they are legal
Bridget M eed
Bridget M it actually is and if you get caught ulta can press charges on you it's trespassing and you aren't suppose to be stealing makeup out of the trash it's disgusting and unsanitary.
Bridget M first of all if u think it's nasty then why are you here? And they clean it like bitch BYE!
I was on pins and needles watching! One of the best hauls I've seen on TH-cam and no soup❤️❤️
Tla4137 Ams thank you!!
My older sister worked at ulta she was the manager for a little bit and she said that, when a product is "not good" they go into this one room and destroy the makeup or they give it to there employees but they throw it out because it's no longer a "working product" or sometimes they get loads of bad reviews they throw it away ( this had nothing to do with the video but oh well) btw the brushes are sometimes used by customers and they just throw them away,,
Hi
If we did this in England all you would find is a macdonalds 😂😂😂
Niamh Wheeler that is sooooooooooo true #relateable
Who wants to go dumpster diving with me :)
Me where do you live
Mee
You guys are great. And I personally think that dumpspter diving is a great way to get makeup that you dont want to pay hundereds for. I mean damn is makeup expensive, and if you can get it for free? YOU GO GIRL. I would like to do this as soon as the Ulta near me opens! Congrats on all the makeup!💓
awesome find you guys were really lucky 👌
unicorn lyric thank you!
Dumpster Haulics no prob
Omg I have that exact benefit they're real brush bag thing. It was one of the first things I found when I started. Lol, you guys are awesome ily!💕
Everyone's making comments about being brave and how much stuff you got and I'm sitting here like, "That purple scarf just wanted to be loved!" Lol Great haul
It tried so hard too😂
Imagine walking into their makeup area or room and just see all their products have that tester sticker on them😂😂
Supernatural Trash They get taken off and the makeup is all disinfected! 😊
I love how she says it's completely full and there's like six things in the bag. And also I just love the concept of it
I'm sooo going to do this! It's ridiculous to spend 40+ $ on a 2oz bottle of foundation! thanks for showing me that I can do this.
Twenty-one Phandoms good luck! Also love your name!!
I LOVE YOUR PIC THO
is this rum
I like the haul portion of the video, not so much of the dumpster diving. I personally would not use any mascara or lip glosses or concealer with doe foot applicators that have been opened or used. There isn't a way to sanitize the product in the tube that has been contaminated by the wand.
Tfs.
C Kendall We don't keep anything with a tube applicator unless it's sealed
Dumpster Haulics few I got a little worried there for a sec
I'm surprised the employees don't take it for themselves... makes you wonder if something's wrong with some of it?
Alexa Mora Probably because its legal to dumpster dive
Well a lot of the items they found are tester products which is why employees wouldn't want them/aren't allowed to take them. I for one wouldn't want to use something hundreds of people touched their face with, that's so unsanitary.
All employees are watched closely so it'd be almost impossible to get away with stealing makeup. Which is the employees don't do it.
Baby Girl because it's considered stealing, and corporate doesn't allow employees to take even trash.
Tla4137 Ams cause I couldn't believe someone would be this nasty and I had to see it for myself that's why I watched it
Tla4137 Ams cause I couldn't believe someone would be this nasty and I had to see it for myself that's why I watched it
Giyongchycocochanel well if you checked how long ago I wrote this comment you would see it wasn't meant for you! Like I said don't watch if you do not like it, people need to stop putting hate on videos they do not Like just scroll on and I bet you watched all the way through the whole video! Shaking my head, get a life and don't direct no bullshit towards me
No shame in my game, I'd do this any day but I'm to scared lol
All the negative comments are from ulta employees who didn't think to do this xD. There are ways to disinfect cosmetics that are quick and easy. I wouldn't use brushes, though.
Me in the Generation Z you can disinfect brushes too!! 💖
My sis had to take me to her work for this event at mac she work a mac they told me and her to take these boxes to the trash my sis alway park her car near the dumpster she say all that makeup she told me to open her car she put the box when we got home it was full of makeup I got to keep half and she keep half
I developed dyslexia trying to read this.
Smart
Thatiana Brice AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Thatiana Brice FR 😂
That was really hard to read. Grammar.
yall came up !!! id be too nervous but id still love to try.
idk why my hearts beating so fast lmaooo
So my things is obviously some of y'all are like hating. It's funny how when you read the comments some employees are on here mad like you guys are stealing and then some are on here like it's old anyways. which makes me think somebody is lying. So like my thing is like leave them alone also some makeup takes a really long time to expire so y'all lying when y'all are like most of it is like expired as I stare at like dermablend products. So what if they dumpster dive leave them alone.
My town is getting an ulta in a couple months and I'm literally so excited jesus christ
who else loves it when the makeup is brand new when they open it up
Don't recommend using the tartiest palette because it's a tester because people stick their fingers in it and u can get little microscopic bugs in your eyes look it up plz that's not sanitary
Summer Zurita they use alcohol and clean the palette before the use it 😘
Not many people would be brave enough to do this and I think you are amazing 😉 for doing this, but can we just point out that a bunch of places throw out perfectly good makeup while people struggle just to buy one product. I don't understand why all these places don't put them in bags and give them away on certain days at certain times. That's such a waste. YOU GO GIRL!!!
Girls how do you divide up all the goods?! I can't imagine :)
blueowl88 We are twins so it all stays in the same house! The stuff we don't use we give to our friends
perfect!!!
blueowl88 yeah! we donate too if we have a lot of extra!
Dumpster Haulics can you please give me some!:(
THATS IT IM CONVINCED. I’ve watched way too many dumpster diving videos and I finally decided I’m going dumpster diving for makeup I STG YALL GOT ME CONVINCED
Wow! Such a wasteful world we live in!! The only item that grossed me out were the mascaras. I don't know how you'd sanitize that!
Ashley S we don't use those!
If you spray the powders with some rubbing alcohol and hot water it will clean them
I would really wanna do this but my mom would probably kill me cause she worries a lot 😂
like i get everything else but the brushes would be gross even if you clean them
Caitlyn Clericuzio How is a brush from the dumpster more nasty than a lipstick?
salty sugar • 10 months ago the brushes were open, the lipsticks packaged
im dying to see your whole makeup collection! love you guys!
I I now you can just sanitize liquid products, sanitizing the outside isn't enough and bacteria lives inside the product not just on the outside
I would never use brushes I found in the dumpster! It can give you a lot of pimples and breakouts
Jassmin A. that's why you disinfect them
Jillian Wise wtf you would still use a dirty ass dumpster brush on your face as long as you wash it??? Ew! The things that don't get washed off 🤢
Jassmin A. Girl your phone and hands are on your face everyday...you do realize your hands have SO SO many germs on them, even if you wash them multiple times a day..
That's why you disinfect them with alcohol
Jassmin A. The point is there's plenty ways to disinfect a damn brush💀 your hands are dirtier than the brush will ever be
My mom won't let me dumpster dive
Chlobo101 My mom didn't like it at first but now she's obsessed! Show your mom some videos and tell her you can get a ton of stuff.
My mom doesn't want me to do it because she doesn't want me using used products
Chlobo101 theres online vids on how to santize the used products, just educate her a little on it maybe :3
Chlobo101 you shouldn't of told her lol you should've just been like "oh yeah my friend has all this makeup that they're aunt gives them but they don't wear it so they just gave it all to me" or some shit
Chlobo101 good she has sanity
It's smart what their doing but I really don't think it's smart to use the makeup brushes. No hate just stating my opinion.
I think out of all those, the brushes are the most "cleanable"... I dunno
Emily Tillotson they can easily be sanitized with alcohol.
Emily Tillotson
I would take the makeup brushes and use them for painting because it would work and I wouldn’t want to use them on my face.
Most of them (such as the naked brushes) seem to be brand new, just thrown away because they only need the palette as a tester and a brush would just fall out
Emily Tillotson it's ok because they do clean it with rubbing alcohol (I think) just like with the makeup products
I'm weary about finding makeup in a trash but I would totally love the brushes, bags and carrying cases.
I hope you girls are donating some of this stuff. I use to own a salon and any over stock we had I donated to the women's shelter. You have no idea how much they need and appreciate personal care items. They so often leave abusive situations with just the clothes on their backs.
Hi.. when do Ulta put there stuff out.. I went tonight and nothing but boxes
I wanna do this but I'm hella scared lol. Like what's the best time to go.
Ally Munoz late night just bring a flashlight
Ally Munoz or early morning
Honestly to everyone who says "we throw those out for a reason" and are rude about it, there are worse things that people do and it's not you're time/ your face so I don't understand why you care so much and take time out of your own day to put people down.
If I ever went dumpster diving, I would only keep the brushes, new makeup (maybe even the slightly used ones if I really want it), and the makeup products in bottles.
Omg what's it like to be your relative around Christmas time!? Free makeup = easy gifts!
I'm literally shook why can't I live in the USA you can't do this in England and I can't believe you got the TARTE SHAPE TAPE THATS LIKE £40 😩😩😩😩
Libby Law £19..
DangooSenpai plus shipping and customs taxes, it comes to about £40 :(
I didn’t know if I was going to like these types of videos, but now I’m obsessed
IS THE CATS NAME BASED ON PRINCESS AND THE PAUPER

Lola Rodriguez n
Lola Rodriguez true , so many different infections and diseases out there
I actually did this & went to the dumpster at my ultra with my friend for a week straight & all they threw away was boxes card board designs of makeup they had out. I was extremely excited to do this & almost cried when it was a bust.😭
Mallow D. you gotta keep going! it can be dry for weeks but you'll get stuff eventually!
I use Dermablend because it literally covers everything and it's the best makeup I've ever used in my entire life. but that crap is so expensive af, worth it though!
holy haul!!! amazing find. all I've found at my 2 locations is a hair shampoo sample and a lot of soup. 😖
Lauren Emmett soup at ulta??
ShannonD9 "soup" not eating soup.
beccie um no. i WISH.
SOUP OR SOUPED is code for destroyed make up
Lauren Emmett I'd try and find another Ulta around you it sounds like the managers there have the employees destroy all makeup before throwing it out, a lot of the stores do that so people can't do what they're doing because technically it's losing them money cuz if we get products like that we're not buying them inside and some people will try and even return them to the store which is stealing.
take a shot every time she says we also got
brenna schilling you'd get so sick hahaha
I'm about to do this every weekend instead of wasting a shit tone of money lmao
I definitely gotta do this one day! Why spend over $300 on makeup when u can just get it for free. Definitely a must! So glad I found this channel 🤗🤗
Andrea Aviles it's not illegal by us! and every store is different. guess we got lucky! 😊😊
