Same happened with me in Jordan . Gulf Air denied my boarding at New Delhi but after requesting they allowed me to me and guess what, Jordan didn't allow me to enter . Luckily I had tickets to Dubai on a different date , so they managed my trip the next day to Dubai and UAE gave me entry without any questions asked . I understand what you have been through, specially being an UAE Resident .

What was new rule
Visa on arrival for UAE residents is still open. 200% it doesnt require pre visa. This scam is running only in Wizz Airways. FlyDubai and Air arabia doesnt need the visa for Azerbaijan

I visited on 15th November 2023.. I got visa visa on arrival at baku Airport. Price USD 30
We visited baku just 2 weeks back from wizz airways. Luckily we had taken 3 hours urgent visa. The Rule is open, UAE residents can travel to Baku on arrival still. Its not closed.
My friends travelled from Fly Dubai and Air Arabia and they got Visa on arrival. All friends are from Indian having UAE residents. Its a scam running by wizz airways in abudhabi. We all should raise our concerns with immigration office

It's shocking... because on 8th jan 2023...we travelled to baku without any visa and we easily got visa on arrival as we are uae residents.

Before taking E-visa you would have read the visa requirements properly. It’s clearly mentioned on there visa portal that uae resident visa holders can get visa on arrival. You would have shown this to the airport authorities or at the checkin counter. I also checked with Wizz air customer care about this visa requirement and they confirmed that visa on arrival for uae resident visa holders with minimum 6 months validity of passport.
That day the wizz air employees did not even check our passports. They directly said to all passengers that visa on arrival is not available from 1st jan and you cant board. Almost 20 odd passengers were stranded that day. Wizz air employees ruined our plan
Someone just left 2 weeks ago as UAE resident.

@@IndiansAbroad I think u are spreading wrong info. visa on arrival is for uae residents and also for those who have 123 days passport validity and 6 months uae visa validity. there must be some other reason.

I’m just standing at the abudhabi airport without any EVISA having a uae residency card valid for 6+ months I am already in the waiting hall .
Maybe it was true at the start of the year. However it’s not valid now anymore

I saw your video and sad that you have not been allowed to travel to Baku. I am bit curious to know why they have not allowed you to board and what is the new rule from Jan 2023. You have not explained the full reason for denial. Is it because your UAE residence visa was not valid for a minimum of 6 months (approximately 183) days on arrival or your passport which needs to be valid for at least 125 days from the arrival date. As per the rule, UAE resident visa must be valid for a minimum of 6 months (approximately 183) days on arrival and a passport valid for at least 125 days from the arrival date. I will request you to kindly help us with the exact reason what airline gave it to you for denied boarding. Looking for your reply. Thank you

Please watch the video again. There were 20 plus familes impacted by this. Theu did not even see our passports, from the queue itself they said if anyone expecting visa on arrival will not be allowed as there was rule change. That day wizz air staff ruined our Travel. Now we came to know that there is no such rule. I have tried ro escalate this to wizz air but no one is listening.

These is no such a rule WIZ Air is doing like this.. as I understand wiz air is not allowing who brought less price tickets.
I Planned to go Baku on January 8th then I took tickets 2 months before then I got very cheap 129 for one way .
My friend took 15 days before 320 price and he is traveling on January 9, then I told him we need E-Visa to travel Baku he checked with embassy they said there no such role and he traveled to Baku with on arrival Visa on January 9th

Just for safer side Apply for visa 2 weeks before your commence the travel 🧭 Usually it comes in 3-4 days but just for safer side apply a bit early
Apply 2 or 3 weeks before, if you face any rejection then you get time to reapply

After watching your video about Baku visa requirements for uae residents we trusted you and get the online e-visa but unfortunately on the dubai and baku both airports we have identified that there is no such requirements and your information in this video is wrong.

Seems like you didn’t investigate or didn’t get complete details at your boarding counter of dubai airport and this how all your confusion created and your fan/followers/subscribers also get into trouble.

Hi Dear, we shared our experience of that day in this video. Please watch again and understand that the wizzair staff told us without looking at our passports to get evisa as on arrival visa was not provided from jan 1 as oer rule. Almost 25 plus passengers suffered because of that same day. Now that rule is not applicable and you may get on arrival visa. But getting e visa is better as you don't hv to waste time in getting on arrival visa.
Visa on arrival but your passports and residence/igama should be valid for 6 coming months or more.

9 months. They did not check anything. From the queue itself they called out to everyone that if someoen expecting for visa on arrival should get out of queue. As rules were changed and we are not allowed if we don't hv e visa

That was a different mix up. This was more of governments not releasing information on news on time, hence its impacting travelers

I travelled last year during August to Baku.
Immigration doesn’t ask much but have hotel booking and return ticket.
And keep like 500$ show money.
Travel insurance they don’t ask but take any cheap one online just in case.
On a pakistani passport we can get e visa. So is it fine to travel if my uae residency visa validity is less than months? I believe they don't check uae residency. Somone explain.
