My EXACT thoughts! it's easy to 'pixel pick' when you own and/or have used the expensive stuff, either the camera or the device your using to view the photo. However to the average person...? Also it's not like people are outright buying the house SOLELY off seeing a virtual tour. They'll eventually see it in the highest resolution (in person!)

Not at all. You can just change the color grades in the app in just seconds which may already be if you use pureshot. He's only using flat mode anyway. Pro tune that you'll be fine.

Great tuto, thanks, I love my Full Frame camera and from that point, I prefer the One X2 over the Theta Z1. The noise is just awful with the Z1 and when you reduce the noise, you reduce the overall quality of the image as well :-O !! Your tuto conforts me in this choice, so. Merci beaucoup !!

My insta one x2 camera does not work well with matterport. I am using a LG V30 with android 9. I have noticed that the capture application does not use the camera's hdr, that is, when I want to do a scan where there is a window where enough light enters, it is simply as if it used the automatic mode, at no time actually use the HDR, probe and probe also entering from the insta360 application itself to select the hdr mode in particular and then open capture but not even doing that works. I have tried and tested with different ways, putting the hdr manually from the control of the camera itself, but nothing, always the same thing, never uses the hdr of the camera, please help me! ps: when I have taken hdr photos without the matterport app, that is, only with the camera and I have visualized them on the insta360 platform if it works and quite well! I have the app version matterport capture 1.2.0 app version insta360 1.6.1 firmware version on camera v1.0.25 specific model of my phone LG-US998 (LG V30)

I was quickly disappointed that the Theta V pretty much was useless to me outside of work. Limited recording & options to use as a fun 360 cam outside of work. I had considered upgrading to the Theta Z1 for better performance for work use. But in reality I don't want to spend $1k on something like the Theta Z1. I was considering the Insta 360 One X2 because it's a pretty dope action cam that I will get a lot of fun use out of it along side my GoPro 9 black. It annoys me that the Theta Z1 is technically better at virtual tours. For my main cameras I have the Canon R5 & R6. I like that the One X2 has external storage & battery options.. I've had times when my Theta V wasn't charged & I didn't know. And if I had the option of an swapping out batteries, I would have.
I dont think theres a 1 size fits all camera. The X2 has the best balance of features in my opinion. If you want more resolution, you have to pay for a matterport pro 2.

This is not concerning a tour and I’m not seeing a video on here that covers my question So I thought I’d ask in here How would I add text to her 360 photo/video. I’m wanting to publish a 360 video on TH-cam and I can do that just don’t know how to add floating text to the video so someone could see it or focus on it was hoping you could do a video on that I’m gonna be hiking the Appalachian Trail this year and was going to use this as my main camera I will be reframing most on my post but also wanted to take some videos of some spectacular areas and post them as 360 but was wanting to put text on top of them to identify things for people was hoping to add text to it I’ve seen a few videos was hoping to use Insta 360s software and/or Luma fusion and didn’t know if you had something published describing how to do that

I see now, Insta360 ONE X2 is ~ $430, Theta Z1 is ~ $1300. IMO, if my budget is low, I'll go for onex2 and if my buget is high, I'll go for Matterport Pro2 camera which cost ~ $2700 instead of Theta. I think Theta is overpriced for what it can do.
