I'm losing my job in 2 weeks, because the government cancelled most infrastructure projects in my region due to lack of funds. Yet they are perfectly fine with spending £8bln a year on social housing and hotels for illegals. I think it's a good opportunity to evacuate from this sinking ship.

As a fellow Londoner, I wish you luck, mate! I left Blighty back in 2006 and came to Russia. Despite what our media says, things here are good and provide a good life. For example:
    - cheap fresh fruit and veg. Meat is cheap. Can have a good healthy diet that way.
    - 150k quid will buy you a house on a big piece of land even near Moscow.
    - One trip on the famous Moscow metro (any time of the day, can travel from top to bottom) 50p. And it always works.
    - Immediate health care. The Russians are surprised when i tell them we have to wait on average a week, even more, to see a GP.
    - You can even start a business here and pay 6% tax. As an individual entrepreneur, you can pay a yearly fixed tax of 500 quid even if you make 100k quid. (Converted rubles to pound) all to allow your business to get off to a good start.
One thing we Brits lack is a national soul. People with souls are more genuine, kinder, honest and honourable. It's nice to be a part of that. It breaks my heart what's happening back in the UK but i don't see things getting better any time soon.

Then went to live in Cardiff, in the city and not much different then London, a bit better but not much. Now I live in Hampshire have kids that go to a good state school, work for myself have private health care and to be honest life isn’t bad for me and my family. "People in other countries actually live a lot happier lives
The reason I say that is because in England we’re all so fixated on the stuff, the status etc
What you see in in other countries is the people just content just living, yeah they’re still focused on progress but at the same time, that his not the primary goal."
Be careful what you say Jackson - some of Those In Power and other Crazies might liquidate (or vapourize as Orwell described it) - people like you and me who think like this i.e. the truth 😀
I should have left Blighty about 30-33 years ago, but now I'm stuck just plodding along at work everyday (well not weekends) until pension age (currently 67).

Great question. A lot of people I’ve met do the following:
Sales, high ticket sales, support roles, marketing, web development/ design/ or social media.
If you’re looking for something to start straight away it would be sales for sure. I will be releasing a video to cover this in depth too 👊

I don't like this video, I f**king LOVE it! :) JJ, your words here deeply resonated within and has in the blink of an eye completely changed my immediate life trajectory. My situation:
Like JJ I also am from London, well, not born and bred but have been here well over 30 years now, and it is a cess pit now. I have been trying to buy outside of London since 2021 but I am now on my third chain which would normally make me ''argh'' but I do think these fall throughs have clearly been for a reason. My home currently has been sold pre market and am looking for somewhere to buy. I had recently found somewhere to buy that I was super keen on, but even without booking a viewing the agent was being a right idiot in the way of being obnoxious to make me well overpay. Er, mate, do I have the letters M U G on my forehead? NO! ha.
Before I carry on from this point I would like to point out that I dream of leaving the UK, just one thing keeping me from doing so, and that is for a decade now I have been extremely poorly. Just how governments and their puppet masters want us eh, sick thus easy to control. I do not go to see the doctor anymore and am on no meds, although they are dr*g$ let's be honest here. So I could relocate abroad now on that note. But I am housebound thus rely on food deliveries. I only eat organic now so would need to know for sure if I were to piss off overseas now that I could have help in procuring my organic grub.
Fast forward to at this every moment. Having seen the first half of this short video earlier my aim to buy somewhere out of London has changed to that of.... Rent! That way I am not tied down and hopefully when in a cleaner environment out of the smoke I can get well in my body again and then I can buy overseas, so I have today just deleted all of my ''to buy'' Rightmove alerts and swapped them over to ''to rent.'' Thank you so much JJ for helping me come to this decision! :)
If anyone reading this has any input on being able to live somewhere out of the UK where there is easy access to organic food in a warm coastal location feel free to speak :) I have since a child relied on ENT care multiple times a year, but I cannot even get that now anywhere near what I used to up until the end of 2019. We know what came next, don't we. That is another thing that has kept me here, the thought of my need to have ENT treatment (just microsuction on my left ear is all). But I am not even getting that, so what is the point? There isn't any.
    THANK you JJ :)

🙏 first of thank you for your comment & contribution to the discussion.
Well one thing I will say is look at Spain ! If that’s something you’d be interested in. Reason I say that is they have a lot of the amenities were used to in England (actually better) & you can have your shop delivered to your door. I see that life can be unexpectedly difficult & I’m sorry to hear of your health issues. Over the moon to hear you’ll be looking to get out too. There’s a beautiful place waiting for you my friend
