    I love stock classic cars for the most part, but I would make this one a sleeper.

    Spoiler looks odd. I think it’d look better without it. Nice pimp red interior!

    Nice car! My cousin had one like it only in black. Always thought these came out in 82.? Oh well learned something new everyday. My cousin really liked his boo

      Scooter P That’s cool . I learned to drive in a similar wagon . My parents 87 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser . It was Olds silver with black pin stripes. And plenty of Crome ! You are correct the wagons are hard to find . The Elcamino is the same frame ? I think. And are around. The wagons disappeared . Dads ol olds wagon won 3 demolition derbies after he sold it. ( worn out . 300,000+ miles though) I suspect a lot of them were derby fodder. And those fisher bodies rusted before the dealers could sell them as well. I will keep a eye out for a boo wagon 4 you.

    My first and favourite car was exactly this car…1979 Malibu Classic Landau Coupe. Mine had a silver vinyl top and the same red interior. It was the sought after one owner, older lady car. Completely stock and very well maintained. The only change I needed to make was to replace the stock 267 V8 with a period correct 350 4 bbl.

    Awe man i had to comment on this car, was the first car i ever drove by myself, my mom had a light brown really nice malabu, true story, i actually stole it when i was 10 or 11 yrs old ,i put pillows on seat, had enough smarts to even reserve the parking spot with a chair, which is a big thig in Pittsburgh lmao

    • @charlestoole1789
      @charlestoole1789 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They make good street cars with the right set up, they were not fast police cars. Sorry Barry my dad was a cop and he drove one for his patrol car.

    • @barryallender4861
      @barryallender4861 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We had them in Virginia and they were very fast. The 350 + light body made for a fast cruiser. I drove one. My favorite was the '77 Dodge Coronet with the 440 cu inch engine.

    • @charlestoole1789
      @charlestoole1789 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@barryallender4861 Now those were fast, those old 440's would run. I was a mopar guy orinally, I had a '69 Roadrunner back in my high school days in '84-'85, 383 4spd!!!

    • @barryallender4861
      @barryallender4861 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every car had their strong and weak points. The Dodge had about an inch of play in the steering which was crazy at high speeds. The seats were hard as rocks. Dodge even called them cement blocks. The Ford's were under powered, and Chevys had terrible brakes.

    Thats sure is one clean / unmolested G-body, not common to find in that condition these days.
    I remenber when I was in high school in the mid nineties G-Bodies of all varieties were a dime a dozen.
    The majority did not survive long up in the rust belt / Pennsylvania, rear frame rails would rot out.
