    A issue I had was both my “Check VSA System” light and “Check Power steering system” light came on after i drove uphill and downhill for around 30 minutes. I stopped and turned off the car then drove it again a few hours later. The lights were still on but after about 4-5 miles both of the lights turned back off. I had no issues driving the car while the lights were on. Could this just be a weird glitch? Or should i get my car checked out still. Its a 2012 Honda Civic.

    • @WheelsTips
      @WheelsTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Zainab Tanvir thanks for watching my video and for the comment. Do you keep adding air to the tire and resetting it? If so you have a leak in the tire. If you are not adding air and the air is fine when checked with another tool than you have an issue in the TPMS system. Most common is a malfunctioning sensor (one with bad battery) or swapping wheels for winter wheels that do not have sensor installed or programmed to the car. Thanks a bunch for the update. It is best practice to follow your owners manual regarding maintenance. If you perform your service yourself just keep track of when you reset the indicator. Otherwise the shop that will service your car will let you know what to do. Resetting the indicator does no harm other than,confusing you when to service your car next.

    how to reset TPMS? on 2012 Honda Civic

    • @WheelsTips
      @WheelsTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Indo Ville TV thanks for watching my video and for the question. Is your light on while driving? Have you manually checked your tire pressure? Over inflating the tire can cause the light to come on, spare tire issues, spare tire usage, TPMS faults that require scanning and lots more please share an update if you recently modified your car in any way as well, thanks.

      Is this a natural gas civic? If not you should have a cruise button on the steering wheel. If it is a CNG Civic I do not believe there is a cruise control option. Please share an update, thanks

      Thanks for the update and cool car btw. Once you properly fill all the tires, you have to use the i-MID display. Ignition to position 2/ON but don't start car, transmission is park or neutral if manual. Use menu button to Vehicle Menu, select customize settings with plus minus button, than select source button. Select TPMS calibration with plus minus button, then press source button. There you can select Initialize with source button. After this you must drive for about 30 mins of speeds between thirty and sixty miles per hour. As long as you don't have spare installed, calibration will happen. First make sure your tires are safe to operate on the road before driving, please share an update, thanks.
