AMTRAK Missouri River Runner to Kansas City

Kris and Captain Moonbeam ride the Amtrak Missouri River Runner from Kirkwood Missouri Station to Kansas City. We went for a 3 day weekend trip and spent time at Union Station and the World War I museum memorial. We had a great ride and along the way got passed by the plane I normally fly. Stayed in the Westin Hotel downtown and had a fantastic view.

Hard to believe at one time there were actual plans being discussed to demolish Kansas City Union Station ... so much incredible history in that place

Kris, where did you get the BBQ at the end? We were thinking of taking the Southwest Chief, Missouri River Runner, and Texas Eagle to loop the KC - SL stations with Chicago. This was a nice video. That bridge looks like a good walk. Was that Luckey's Climber playground outside the train station or is that part of something?

Not bad video I'm a big railroad buff and I always want more railroad observations. Sat. Aug. 31, 2024. St. Joseph, MO (I don't really think Amtrak is going to go through here or to Omaha.)
