no it will not be divergent as in comparison test if the smaller function is divergent then only the bigger function have to be divergent as well. But in this case the bigger function i.e. 1/x is divergent hence we cannot say anything about divergence of sinx/x.
yup, I was also thinking this. But still its easier to handle that. just split the bounds (0 to inf) as (0 to 1) + (1 to inf). Now 0 to 1 is a proper integral. So no problem. and (1 to inf) integration of 1/x^2 is convergent. So entire integral is convergent. Hope you got it 🙂
