Just some basics: 1. Series = sum of the sequence 2. Sequence basically means one after the other eg: page nos or the next is logical to find due to pattern. 3. Test for convergence can be found out for both sequence and series. 4. Convergence for a sequence means the nth term is going towards a fixed value eg 0 for 1/2,1/4,1/8. 5. Divergence means the nth term in going to infinity. 6. Main gist is when you are given a random sequence you just have to find whether the sum of them is converging or diverging.

Sir in starting of the lecture you have said that sum of 1+2+3.....->infinite but according ramanujan 1+2+3+4......=-1/12 so that this sequence must be convergent.

Just some basics:
1. Series = sum of the sequence
2. Sequence basically means one after the other eg: page nos or the next is logical to find due to pattern.
3. Test for convergence can be found out for both sequence and series.
4. Convergence for a sequence means the nth term is going towards a fixed value eg 0 for 1/2,1/4,1/8.
5. Divergence means the nth term in going to infinity.
6. Main gist is when you are given a random sequence you just have to find whether the sum of them is converging or diverging.

upper bound is the uppermost value (highest value) = 1
lowerbound is the lowermost value (lowest value)=-1

Sir in starting of the lecture you have said that sum of 1+2+3.....->infinite but according ramanujan 1+2+3+4......=-1/12 so that this sequence must be convergent.
