Hi Nintendogametuber i’am a subscriber and i’am a fan also I play Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo switch
I'm sure that disco ball is the final boss of all of our childhoods
Months ago my friend showed me his 3DS and he said he couldn’t beat the disco ball boss… I impressed him by defeating the boss on first try and finishing the extra stage on first try too. His best score on stage 1 was around 15000 and I made a score of around 140000 which was almost 10 times better. On my DS, I managed to get the perfect scores on stages 1 and 2 which are 188850 for stage 1 and 221600 for stage 2. And even got a score of 501860 on bonus stage.
I consider myself as an expert of this game and I thought about recreating it in Unreal Engine to play it in 60 fps. Face Raiders runs at 60 fps but is capped at 30 fps. I found that by importing some animations of the face model on blender and it is in 60 fps.

I remember in 2014-16, my Grandma would take me to church with her, and I would always bring my 2DS. I have so many memories of Luigi's Mansion dark moon, Mario Party DS and that stupid piranah plant boss, Face Raiders, Find Mii, and so many more. The DS days where the golden days.

Same i used to had so much trouble by the last Boss with his Lasers but the second Boss was always funny i photographed always Lego Figures back in 2013 or other Persons.
As a kid. The final boss of face raiders was probably the most anxiety inducing game on the 3ds. You Ethier went in todally blind and count exactly time the crystal shits right. Or had really shakey hands
Phase 1 was the most stressful thing to ever come from the 3DS.

As a kid I probably never got to it or didn’t know how reflections worked 😭
The first time I beat it I was so ecstatic… I narrowly beat it, surviving with practically a sliver of health left, but something wasn’t right… the music stopped and I frantically began searching everywhere until I inevitably looked down to find a weird bush just laying on the ground. I didn’t know what to think of it at first but I just kinda stared and it and everything else until I finally decided to shoot it. Music began. And there it was, the face with the infamously defeated afro look. From a jump-scare straight into a boss fight. The beat drops, and next thing I know, TWO GIANT STARS ARE LAUNCHED AT ME AND I DIE 😭
I wasn’t able to move to where the enemy was since I was in the car the bulk of the times I played
I remember the disco ball was the hardest to defeat because either you would miss the crystals and you would be attacked or you would get it and defeat him

That double face boss is my favorite, simple concept yet still challenging
It's so weird that in stage 3 when you shoot the guys with the spike on their head they make this face 😃

Final Boss Phase 1: Makes the level insanely stressful.
Phase 2: Littery easy to beat.
Phase 3: Kills you instantly at the beginning if you shoot.
Yea, everytime i encounter Phase 1, very stressful
I remember when I was young I cried because i couldn't beat the last phase of the last boss, I didn't realize that you had to shoot him before he shot you. I thought you had to look away, I beat it yesterday.

When you're on low health, I think, the final boss throws unavoidable stars to prevent a comeback from happening. You pretty much did it all without taking a hit, which is impressive! Jonathan couldn't even beat the first phase!

Boss idea: Sun Boss EX
Has the ability to shoot green sun orbs as a line of its attack once reaching phase 2. And also has the ability to heal itself when it's at low health to make things harder for you to deal with. It's a boss that requires skill to defeat as a Simple Player. Instead of shooting flipping face raiders from mouth, instead the raiders are green sun orbs. When hit. It now splits into multiple until you shoot all of the multiplied orbs to trigger the weak spot, if you take too long to destroy all the green orbs. It will instead do the earthquake attack which makes a bunch of wall panels, after the earthquake attack. It hits the screen with the sun back.

fun fact, but the music for the first phase of the final boss reuses some of Drawcia's theme from kirby canvas curse. I think the games have the same composer, but I might be wrong on that part. I know HAL did help make face raiders though.

Absolutely false, there are almost no similarities with the track. It's just in the same style of baroque-like organ piece. Face Raiders pulled it off much better. It's not the same composer, it's the legendary Melee and Mother 3 composer Shogo Sakai.

The last boss was really annoying to me since i didnt know where the path of the lazers go but if you look closely you could tell where it would go. Before I couldn't tell but now it seems so easy than before.
