Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) is a large transit system in southeastern Virginia that runs ferry, bus, and light rail services. In this video, I ride all three modes offered by HRT.

I do hope to get more of the Tide filmed! I actually go to school in Hampton Roads so I’ll be making more HRT content once the school year starts!

@@29downtheline sweet, I ride the tide for work when I can, it’s a shame the starter line has not expanded but if you research the initial project you will see why

@@brettflynn51 That’s cool that you ride it to work! I’m at least aware of how Virginia Beach cancelled its half of the project (even though the right of way already exists!!!) but I’ve been looking into HRT’s ongoing Connecting Chesapeake project. I don’t think it’s being talked about enough, and it could mean the difference between a light rail network extension or a faster, better bus line (either express bus or BRT). Personally, I’m hoping for more light rail!

Wait you didn’t get a 3000-series bus on the 961? Yikes.

I’ve ridden that route a few times and I’ve never seen anything but a 2000-series on the 961! The most I’ve seen is a 2000 wrapped in a 757 Express livery!

@@29downtheline that’s their new livery going forward. Some has the 757 express wording but the rest don’t, especially the newer buses they gotten this year, which i think what you ended up getting.
