What a coincidence! I just finished doing the dishes - a regular thing if I may add, while my wife was watching her favourite TV series then I saw this link through a friend's status. Stay at home for three days and you'll realize that your wife is a blessing and deserves to be loved, supported, respected and cared for. I thank God for my mum and how she raised us.
Whoever thought of this should get a standing ovation ,to be an housewife or a working responsible mother is no joke... Please value the woman in your life
what a short but packed movie wow. Am raising two boys. God give me the wisdom a strength to raise good men who appreciate, love and help the women in their lives. i think we the mother's have a greater responsibility to change the mindset of men especially african men, that wives are not inbuilt servants and that if you are a grown-up, grown man you need to learn to take care of yourself. we need to stop telling our sons to marry and let a woman cook for you, take care of you and wash for you." I get market women ask me why I bring my boys to the market. SMDH. the grown men are alredy grown and grown trees can't be bent. it's stuck in its ways.Let's groom ours sons to become better men. thats my payer.
When ever people say that house wives or better, stay at home mums and wives are jobless, I feel like keeping them at home with 4 children under the age of 10 and see what the make of it. The reason why anyone (man or woman) will seek to disrespect a stay at home mum or dad is beyond sense. The movie depicts the life of a stay at home mum and the nonsense and disrespect she receives from even her husband who swore to stand by her no matter what. NdaniTV well done with the good work and thumbs up for shining light on things we hate to talk about and the truths we frown upon on a daily basis. I hope it will turn out to be a mini series. This one of the reason why so many spouses want to work. Not because they do not want to stay at home and bring up amazing kids but because of the fear of being disrespected and been financially controlled by the spouses. They want to have their own ,forgetting that once married it seizes to be mine but ours.
@@amanimashar1201 you mean the monster in-law? Mehn I have one that claims to be nice, but in d actual sense she's just nice to herself and children but shitty to others.
On a more serious note 🙁, women who give up or take out time from their career, dream and ambition to take care of their household should be really appreciated. It takes lot of courage to stay at home changing diapers, cleaning, cooking and going grocery shopping while your mates are out there climbing the cooperate ladder, expanding their businesses and building their brands. Thank God for the internet, so many stay at home mums can now do some little businesses from home.
Olu Solomon my sister your time will come, one day your children will grow up and you are never too old to dream or do your own thing... raising children is a career too, caring for them teaching manners, teaching them empathy, something a lot of our children especially sons seem to be lacking. A lot of children are not being raised but are merely being housed, fed and schooled. Know that the investment you are putting in them now will only benefit you one day, and society at large. I am in a similar situation and I have to keep reminding myself that one day, my children will thank me for being there. That's the beauty of children, they are quite smart and will recognise someday, what you had to do to get them where they are. Remember everybody's journey is not the same, so focus on yours and be happy for your loved ones who are succeeding right now.
This man even tried! At least he knows what his wife does... Many men of his calibre would not know how much their wives put into running their house holds...they would not know and appreciate how much of their success is directly linked to their better half's who are the silent strength behind their millions. God help us... Hmmm
Well done Ndani tv, for educating people on this matter. I hope that young men and even married men will learn from this. Just because you married her doesn't mean you did her a favor by paying her bride price which in turn means you can treat her how you want and make her your your glorified house girl because she doesn't "work"
This so sad. I remember my first marriage, where I was a student in the university ,a mother , a pregnant woman and wife combining all this together almost drives me crazy, that’s if I was not crazy. on top of that my ex was a big cheat . Is so sad that despite all my struggles the marriage didn’t work out. Here I am married to a man who works ,does cooking, do my laundry and even at time help wash me up. His reasons are , he want to show me that not all men are mean to their wives.
Chai! I was really ready to run for that class rep position. NdaniTV una badoo how can you just come and wet someone's appetite and just go like that. Please short film part 2 has to show face biko. Great job though! I am very impressed.
Life can be easy if we make it. I'm a mom of 3 kids and I'm married to a wonderful man. I work for my husband and get paid on a monthly basis. Now he's trying to get a help at home because we realized we needed one. He loves to cook for the family, that's a way he helps me out. And I do my best to grow his business in the branch I control. We made plans to get me involved in his business and in less than 2 years we became house owners. When we learn to support each other in marriage, we grow faster. Be your spouse's Best friend. I'm a blessed woman. I can't thank God enough for the man I have and I pray for every young girl to find a man like mine. I am not this African woman because I've got a special man...
I read most of the comments and asked "how did it come to be that a woman becomes the slave in the home?" I think many mothers are to blame. In most African homes, When a woman gives birth to a girl, it does not receive the the kind of excitement the birth of a son brings. Many mothers make the girl do all chores while the boys are allowed to laze around. It's these men who later become slave masters and do nothing to help the helpless "housewife ". It is a shame that many women die from exhaustion and stress. Women who are in this situation must seek medical and domestic help if husbands won't help.
The turn around is not the issue, the problem is that many of them refuse to grow up, that is why the Peter pan syndrome is a huge problem in today's society .
I am in bed... watching this story. Only that i am that woman.... only that i am not a full housewife. I work and also the full housewife. With 5 boys and a husband always travelling. I have bring everything else together. Few weeks ago i blackout. Bp of 200 by 160. Diagnosis STRESS. I have to be in bed for days now. I am woman and many of us are like this.... Sometimes i dont know if marriage is fair... its a man's world. Sad. But its truth. This is the story of most women.... The housewife hmmmm. Sad. I am lucky to be alive cant say that about many others.
Thank you so much for sharing adeyemo adenike. I am still a young girl, just graduating from college soon but sometimes I am afraid. I was afraid of the real world, sometimes I can barely keep myself together. What will happen if I get married and start having kids. I cannot even do all the tasks of a house wife. Then what happens when I start working and I am forced to be both a house wife and a career woman. Maybe it better to be single for the rest of my life. I dont want to be a slave to any man or family. I want happiness, joy, love, family, marriage, all the goodness and also bad days that come with it. But if it's consistent to the point of collapsing then i'll rather be single forever. I watch my mom daily and sometimes it breaks my heart to see how she is always the one pushing for things to be together. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever have as much strength and courage like her. But I really dont want to be an unhappy person. Real life sucks, I wish I could be a kid forever.
Despite all these challenges, I don't think you should allow fear cripple you or deny you of the joy of marriage and motherhood. Singlehood also has its down moments. None of these status is perfect. I think you should primarily focus on having an understanding, caring and loving partner, once that is fixed it makes it easier. And you really have to do all that makes life easy for you. Get a help if you need one, make use of as much machineries and technology that can help in keeping the house etc
It's so sad that this how most men treat their wives. Being a full housewife is a full time JOB! Thanks Ndani for this short but insightful film. Welldone
This is one of the most educative marital movies of all time. Gives us insight of the most sensitive and delicate aspects of a marital home, love and compassion. I totally loved it. Amazing piece
Am the first daughter and ever since I became an adult I do everything from cooking, cleaning to taking care of my younger ones, so I can relate. I keep telling my mum that I won't continue like this when I leave the house.
Sis I couldn't agree more I'm 17 the first born and a girl i have taken on many "housewifey" roles since 11 at least that is when I started feeling the pressure and hate for the lifestyle. The struggle is real and I defiantly don't want to lead this type of life. And this short film hits the core even more because those arrogant character are now present in my brother who is only 2 years younger. I will by no means let this cycle continue with me. No means. The Lord is my strength.
You can actually stop now. I am also the eldest. When it seems like they were old enough, I threw them into the sea to learn to swim by themselves, meaning, I stopped doing everything and became like a house manager. Instead of doing it, I assign and make sure they do it. I cannot come and kill myself.
@@nanaaishamurtala16 Sis exactly what I did too.....it wasn't easy ...I was literally a housegirl...now,I don't give a fuck if the house is dirty or not, make them do am....I just be sitting down and watching, and my parents no fit talk sef coz they know I tried my best growing up
This is why women need to put themselves first, and realize that they are the prize. Go after your purpose and don’t lose yourself trying to please a man. Yes it’s your job to keep the home, but it’s also his job to protect the family
Women are Amazing, super strength, super love, super cook, super partner, super prayer warrior and more... I'm thankful to be a Woman, to all women out there God bless you 💕💕
This short film definitely shed some light on the negative side of being a full time housewife. May God continue to grant women all over the world who go through this day in and day out schedule the grace and strength to persevere IJN. Husbands' and men in general should not only appreciate their wives, but they should support them and help out with the cleaning, cooking, and raising children as well. All of that work is clearly too much for any one person to do everyday.
damn..... i had a neighbour whose wife died cause of fatigue she just simply knelt down during evening prayers and didnt get back up, she was a very hardworking housewife, story was that she hadnt rested well for a couple of days shufflingeveryone around but never found time for herself......its real and it happens.
Not everyone can afford a house help.I tried twice but they were bad influence for my sons. I teach in a demanding private school where my kids attend so we go together and come together. I hire a weekly cleaner so I rest a little on weekends,do all my soup and stew cooking on Saturdays. We microwave the soups when needed. Thank God for hubby,he sometimes buys bread or akpu to eat when he sees am tired. I don't like to sit at home so I prefer teaching.
Had to fill in for an aunt who was hospitalized out of stress. I know the stress I went through that weekend, I can imagine her doing it everyday. God save us from unkind men
Became teary eyed after watching this. Thanks Ndani! Beautiful! I have a friend who earns 6times what Mr Donald earns and has a wife who is a stay-at-home Mum and he still thinks his wife DOESN'T work. I would make sure i show him this. Staying at home to watch the home and family and stuff is WORK. Its high time we stop shaming Mothers for doing it. It is providing a service as a carer and is vital to keep the economy moving.
This is saddening.......I mean he is justifying his actions and making it seems like it’s a normal thing to have a these views NdaniTV This is the kind of stories we need our men to be seeing ...... this is such a brilliant story 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
To stop this evil cycle we need to raise our sons well to respect and appreciate their wives and vice versa And our daughters to know the men who are worth their good hearts and vice versa
Many men need to watch this. Housewives need help. They need to be appreciated every single day. They need to be loved for their selfless sacrifice and love for the home.
I love this episode, I love how the Dr. Indirectly made him realise that his wife was actually "over working herself". This is the kind of drammer that Nigeria needs to make more of, and not about individualism, feminism, etc.
This is why Germans pay women for staying at home and taking care of their children cos it's really a full time job. A man and a woman will go to work and come back exhausted ,the man will be busy with the tv or his phone but the woman will go to the kitchen and prepare the food for him and the children and do other things before going to bed. It's difficult to juggle between both. If the woman isn't working, the man comes home and thinks that nothing is done in the house, he feels that she has been idle the whole time just because he was away for few hours, the woman never gets appreciated for staying home just to do chores and care for the family. Women who work and still care for their family are supermoms and the ones who decided to give up their career just for the family, need to be appreciated most.
Love, Love, LOVE IT!!! Kudos to the cast. Thank goodness someone has brought to our attention the need for men to really look at their marriages and wife roles in the proper perspective. Powerful. Is there a continuation?
What exactly do some men look for in a woman? I mean you don't want a woman who cares, loves and caters to your need plus take care of your children. Then what are you looking for? The problem is that some men still think they are bachelors. Commitment is extremely hard for them so they love adventure moves which even cause them stress. Great production. Loved it.
Any time I am at my brothers house and i take note of when his wife wakes, and all she does before going out. I always tell her that she is a strong woman.Respect to our gender
thank you and welldone Ndani tv for this shortfilm.i hope a lot of people can see this and learn, honestly the African woman goes through a lot and because of the way she is brought up she keeps on enduring and its killing her inside, we need to watch out for our women and help them in anyway we can. Also i hope we can learn to appreciate the women for their efforts because it goes a long way.
uploading movies like this will make the world and humanity better. movies like this bring light to the social issues faced by women in their homes and in society in general.
Ndani TV you guys should make a movie already, this was very solid, I loved the story, cinematography, lightning, sound, camera angles the cast did well. This is how to tell a story. I am so impressed. Big ups to all those who worked so hard for this to come together.
This came on as an advert while I was watching “My Local Wife QUEEN NWOKOYE 2”. I looked at the length and it showed 14:26 - there was no way I was going to watch this!! By the time I could click on Skip Ad, I was gripped. I watched the whole thing and was very very very angry when it finished!!!!! Please Sir/Madam, I want more. Awesome and powerful movie.
She could have been anything But she chose you she chose your home she chose the kids She doesnt deserve to be treated like this like filt like she's worthless. She needs to be treated with care and love she needs to be told everyday you have got her she deserves to be treated like a queen To all those ladies who have sacrificed their own dreams inspirations to become a corner stone holding their homes you guys are the best dont let anyone tell you otherwise know your worth and find a way to make yourself happy life is need short May you enjoy the fruit of your labour
Some men think helping their wives with the children, house chores etc makes them less of a man or that it’s mainly a woman’s job. If only they can see it this way... 1. Helping with your kids, that might be the only time you get to quality time with your kids in a day. Give them a birth, change them in to their pjs.. such lovely conversations you ll have. Weekends take them out for an hr or two for ice cream.. while mom relaxes. 2. She doesn’t have to cook all the time... order food... be deliberate about giving her break. 3. Get her a cleaner if you don’t have a house help. Once in two weeks isn’t too much. If you love your wife you will care about her in every way. So help us God.
I don’t even understand how a man taking care of his own kids is classified “Helping out” that’s their equal responsibility, that’s his kids too and he owes them a bath, he owes them care, he owes them doing their homework, those are his kids and he won’t be “helping” his wife when his taking up his responsibility as a father and husband.
Temi2tope especially when they come in and tell you, I don’t want noise from those kids oo keep them quiet and you got yourself pregnant in the first place..

I feel you sis, this is my case
Ahhh we are twins ohhh .
Been telling my mom how I'm leaving as soon as I grad
You can actually stop now. I am also the eldest. When it seems like they were old enough, I threw them into the sea to learn to swim by themselves, meaning, I stopped doing everything and became like a house manager. Instead of doing it, I assign and make sure they do it. I cannot come and kill myself.

Sis exactly what I did too.....it wasn't easy ...I was literally a housegirl...now,I don't give a fuck if the house is dirty or not, make them do am....I just be sitting down and watching, and my parents no fit talk sef coz they know I tried my best growing up
This is why women need to put themselves first, and realize that they are the prize. Go after your purpose and don’t lose yourself trying to please a man. Yes it’s your job to keep the home, but it’s also his job to protect the family
Wow! Beautiful and well executed. The man acted to well. His anger was so real. The way he drew his lips when talking. What a gifted actor.
I clicked like even before watching, just because I trust Ndani. Thanks for not disappointing.
WOW......Short and Incisive..the best movie I have seen this year...Well done.
Well done!!! Such a powerful story! Well done Blossom, Kiki and Kachi!! And Jay! Great Job!
Thus is just beautiful, but God knows, no man can come and kill my dreams because of marriage 😄
First become a mother and see, your beautiful children may make you to
Your children will humble you real quick
Women are Amazing, super strength, super love, super cook, super partner, super prayer warrior and more... I'm thankful to be a Woman, to all women out there God bless you 💕💕
nice , first time I would see Nigerian movies portray Doctors in a professional way.
I’m not even half way through and I already get the gist. This is enlightening, educating and lovely! Great job guys
this movie is an eye opener. we should appreciate such women as often as we can. cos it's d appreciation that keeps us going and motivated
damn..... i had a neighbour whose wife died cause of fatigue she just simply knelt down during evening prayers and didnt get back up, she was a very hardworking housewife, story was that she hadnt rested well for a couple of days shufflingeveryone around but never found time for herself......its real and it happens.
L
Wow
Omg!
Oh my God
Wow plx can I use this comment for a piece
Husbands love and appreciate your wives for all that they do. Don't take them for granted.
I can't believe I cried watching this 😭😢... some men can be so ungrateful and mean..WOMEN!!! May God help us all 🙏🙏🙏
Amen
Bonge la ujumbe aisee has kwa wanaume wa kiafrika natamani wanaume wote wangeangalia this kind of film...lots of appreciation from Tanzania ❤
Thank you for letting men know that whether being a working class woman or a house wife you still work...and we need help without asking for it...
I didn't cry, I bawl like mad, sometimes we need a wake up call to see what we have infront of us and learn how to appreciate it. Beautiful movie
I know the dreams I've sacrificed to become a housewife. It's not easy. If I could do it over, I'd rather be a single mum
Sandie Ugo its never that serious hire a nanny/house help to assist you run some errands so that you can also have time for yourself.
AND IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD ONE????
Not everyone can afford a house help.I tried twice but they were bad influence for my sons. I teach in a demanding private school where my kids attend so we go together and come together. I hire a weekly cleaner so I rest a little on weekends,do all my soup and stew cooking on Saturdays. We microwave the soups when needed. Thank God for hubby,he sometimes buys bread or akpu to eat when he sees am tired. I don't like to sit at home so I prefer teaching.
No o. Marriage is a beautiful thing. Just do ur part n pray that God helps
May the Holy Spirit give you strength and do all with love.
Had to fill in for an aunt who was hospitalized out of stress. I know the stress I went through that weekend, I can imagine her doing it everyday. God save us from unkind men
Highlighting our societal issues in a very creative way. Nice one
Don't you think there should be an icon for a double like.....this is so great
No comment for now, but my wife to be, I will love you so much
Became teary eyed after watching this.
Did you show him this? What was his reaction? Has things changed? I'm curious and I'd love to know please.
This is saddening.......I mean he is justifying his actions and making it seems like it’s a normal thing to have a these views
NdaniTV This is the kind of stories we need our men to be seeing ...... this is such a brilliant story 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
To stop this evil cycle we need to raise our sons well to respect and appreciate their wives and vice versa
And our daughters to know the men who are worth their good hearts and vice versa
Unpaid care work, on top someone will still hurl insults on you for being a woman. All women deserve a first class ticket to heaven.
Thank you my sis
Many men need to watch this. Housewives need help. They need to be appreciated every single day. They need to be loved for their selfless sacrifice and love for the home.
Here I am, Professional comment reader 😀, hope am not too early, will come back shaa, for more “readation” of the “commentations” 😂.
Lovely cinematography, excellent script writing and execution great job @NdaniTv Please we need more of this!
I love this episode, I love how the Dr. Indirectly made him realise that his wife was actually "over working herself".
This is the kind of drammer that Nigeria needs to make more of, and not about individualism, feminism, etc.
Dear husband
Thanks for being honest. It's for your good actually.
Great prescription doc👏
A woman's strength yet underatted. May God help us
Beautiful. One of the less talked about people in the world. Ndani can you guys do a short film disability? I don't mind staring in one.
Love, Love, LOVE IT!!! Kudos to the cast. Thank goodness someone has brought to our attention the need for men to really look at their marriages and wife roles in the proper perspective. Powerful. Is there a continuation?
Love this. Housewives don’t get enough credit.
Reminds me of an ad on my local TV station I saw years ago. Helped me make some important decisions for my future
And even with all this stress, some women still go to work, no help and they still put the house together
Arguably one of the best short movies I've seen!!! Precise and top notch acting! Well done guys!
Loved it.
Queen Karen Wahala and high blood pressure. Lol
Men are wired like that except the ones that are Godly
Queen Karen
we do deary. it's vice versa though, but the fact remains that we human don't value what we have until we loose them.
Some men don't deserve a chance. This is such a touching piece.
Any time I am at my brothers house and i take note of when his wife wakes, and all she does before going out. I always tell her that she is a strong woman.Respect to our gender
Thanks for being a great sister in law
How about you tell your brother to stop being lazy?
Talk to your bro as well
thank you and welldone Ndani tv for this shortfilm.i hope a lot of people can see this and learn, honestly the African woman goes through a lot and because of the way she is brought up she keeps on enduring and its killing her inside, we need to watch out for our women and help them in anyway we can. Also i hope we can learn to appreciate the women for their efforts because it goes a long way.
uploading movies like this will make the world and humanity better. movies like this bring light to the social issues faced by women in their homes and in society in general.
Short film with an important message. God bless
Ndani TV you guys should make a movie already, this was very solid, I loved the story, cinematography, lightning, sound, camera angles the cast did well. This is how to tell a story. I am so impressed. Big ups to all those who worked so hard for this to come together.
"Some people don't realise what' they have until it's gone!"
So true.
Thank you for recognising the hard work women do
May God bless all house wives...the things they go through is very unknown
How dear he said she doesn’t work. She is working more than him, by far.

I'd rather die hey.
Am so forwarding this to my husband mbok he needs to see, hear, appreciate and learn
She could have been anything
But she chose you she chose your home she chose the kids
She doesnt deserve to be treated like this like filt like she's worthless.
She needs to be treated with care and love she needs to be told everyday you have got her she deserves to be treated like a queen
To all those ladies who have sacrificed their own dreams inspirations to become a corner stone holding their homes you guys are the best dont let anyone tell you otherwise know your worth and find a way to make yourself happy life is need short
May you enjoy the fruit of your labour
To think that this is the reality for some people!! WoW!! Anyone reading this, I pray God blesses you with a good husband.. Good storyline..
Ndani is breaking boundaries. I love this. I hope this births a new nollywood.
NdaniTV you're the real MVP for this!
