Porsche Cayenne 958 Battery Replacement (2011-2019)

The Cayenne is incredibly dependent on computers to make the vehicle run.
All of the sensors and systems on the vehicle are very voltage specific and dependent. If your battery is throwing error codes, showing signs of problems holding a charge or hard starting you should replace it right away.
Porsche has started to report problems with systems not resetting themselves after a battery replacement. This meant that you needed a code reader or scan tool to reset some of the systems to get the vehicle to function correctly or even start in some cases.
If you do not already have a scan tool for your vehicle and you plan on doing any DIY'ing on your car you should pick one up. It will be invaluable in diagnosing problems, clearing codes and resetting programs. It will also save you a lot of money in the end by understanding what is going on the vehicle and not just throwing parts at it.
