Rice - 1 cup
Thur Dhal - 1/2 cup
Small Onions - 15 to 20
Tomatoes - 3
peas - 1/2 cup
Red chillies - 6 to 7
Curry leaves - few
Tamarind - little
Ghee -As required
Mustard - 1 tsp
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Asafoetida -
Chana dhal - 2 tsp
Dhaniya -. 21/2 to 3 tsp
Fenugreek -1/2 tsp
Jeera -1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
அம்மா இன்று மதியம் தங்கள் சொல்லி தந்த சாம்பார் சாதம் செய்தேன்.மிக அருமையாக இருந்தது என என் மகன் சொன்னான்.அந்த பாராட்டுக்கள் அனைத்தும் உங்களுக்கே சேரும்.நன்றி அம்மா

My mother would make it with homemade sambhar powder, murungakkai, kathirikkai and tomato and finally add varuthu poditha kopparai to top.. Much different taste than the masala version we make.. Your video prompts me to try it next time without the masala version

Yummy...In Bangalore we make dry bisibelabath powder as you said and add kidney beans and ground nuts along with the vegetables,for side dish we have ot with boondi and onion raitha thats only the difference..thanks for sharing will definitely try this style of cooking....
