We just celebrated our new yam festival on 9th Sept which is annually.

It's painful and disappointing how they treat you guys because of your tribe and culture.
Whereby in my state Anambra, we have some few villages of igala people in the northern part of Anambra state, in Nzam LGA, we treat them well that an outsider wouldn't know their origins, even some of them are commissioners and special advisers to the Anambra state governors. You can verify that. But it's well I wish you guys one love ❤️, and stay strong and remain Blessed

Even if Obaseki whose ancestry is in Ika do anything, people will complain and ask him is he Bini or going back to his ancestory origin in Nsukwa in Ika.
Those in Igbanke should be working underground with other Ika to be carved back to Delta and Anioma state eventually. To do this, you have to define who is IKA as those who are Oza bini speakers will be working against it - you have to cave them out of your kingdoms or they will continue using your numbers to collect resources and yet give you peanuts.

The recent Coup d'État in Niger Republic, should be an eye opening on how Nigerian Senators Hausa, Fulani and Kanuris voted against the ECOWAS war mongering because it will affect their brothers and sisters in Sahel countries. Mali, Burkina Faso and who gave similar tribes said they will defend their brothers come what may.

My mother is from Igbake. I'm familiar with the elder you just interviewed. Many people have changed their surnames from okoro to osahon. ucheka to osato. What is going on in Igbanke demands the attention of our Igbo brothers all around the world. However, even if you change your Igbo name to a Benin name, Igbanke people continue to suffer. In Edo state, they have no political stance. There are no career opportunities available, and they are not even considered.

Spanish people have many dialects of Spanish language and yet each part understand each other whenever they speak and recognizes what person comes from. Same thing in USA when someone from West coast speak is a little different from some one from East coast English accent, or when a Texan's person speak with their own accents. So is normal for one people to have different in their 😝 tongue speaking.

Edo people as neighbours and cousins to us at times as a group, esan , bini, urohbo, isoko, etc can benefit from Anioma state as another Edo speaking state will also be created with core Urohbo called ISobo state. Anioma state will be in SE. ISobo state will be in SS.

He realized then that a greater Igbo would mount a formidable challenge better than what he experienced. Out of Bendel State, he formed ANIOMA as the first step to the eventually merging with the Igbos of the east. He is gone with his ideas but would it be meritorious if ANIOMA acronym not also exist?

Congratulations to the Igbankes who have now identified with thier Igbo brothers. Once again, congratulations. It must be noted that late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe did not include Ika on the list of Igbo dialectical and ethnic groups constituting Igbo state for self - determination in his address to Igbo Assembly held in Aba in 1949 .Dr Azikiwe and the Igbo Assembly knew that Ika is not Igbo (Visit Google for the full address). Being Igbo Igbanke cannot be Ika that is not Igbo. At any rate Ika is brother to Benin . Unlike brilliant Dr Azikiwe and Igbo Assembly, those that are still equating spoken Language or its similarity with ethnic identity are ignorant of 573 ethnic groups world wide recorded by Google and Wikipedia,, some in Nigeria, that not longer speak their indigenous Languages but Languages cross pollinated from other ethnicities.
