This Alpha version footage was capped at 30fps not to burden the poor Quest 2. The game itself runs at 72fps and looks four times better in person.
I recorded this clip to show the sunset time of day in free ride, the Leroux Griffe3 (which doesn't get enough love in WIP clips), and handbrake behaviour. You can find out even more about the project by keeping up with the Commuter Games Discord server (the link is in the description)
Finally a working vr car game where you can actually use motion controllers to interact with the wheel, mirrors, and gear!
Note: the mirrors aren't interactive, they adjust automatically. I did a bit of acting for show :)
Looks very good so far as a fan of V speedway I am really looking forward to this.
I just recently got my quest 2 and hopefully I’ll be able to play some Music Via Ten meta quest browser or something else, I’ve already got my spotify playlist of Notorious Big for midnight cruising! 😁

Not a bad game I bought it but doesn't seem to be any real race cars just a bunch of no name small cars that I really don't look forward to driving. On another note it is quite challenging. Very very tiring using motion controls your shoulders get tired really fast but you can use the controller joystick as well
Indeed. This is like the very beginning of Gran Turismo. Boring city cars (with tuned versions but still). Looking forward to updates
Would love online racing on this! I just hope this one also comes out on PCVR
Multiplayer will be available with an update some time after launch, during the Early Access phase.
There are no plans to port this game to PCVR

Can you place your hand anywhere on the wheel? Or is it set to the "correct" way of holding a steeringwheel?
Any way you want. 10 and 2, 9 and 3, 11 and 1, or one hand gripping from the inside at 7. A very flexible system!

Is there ai traffic like the race ai in v speedway but for free ride or no?
No, AI is just for races. Though you will be able to jump into Free Ride with other players online

Yeah I love v speedway, but it gets repetitive. When does this come out on quest?

Well, it's free ride! There's no time limit or opponents (in Singleplayer), and you can drive anywhere on the map. But it isn't as huge as the open world in something like Forza Horizon 5
