I definitely think you're doing better than some people , keep up the good work saving an old vw is a wonderful thing on how bad of shape it was and you can say you did all the work yourself..
Great work! Just remember there is a short lifespan on those organic vapour masks once opened. They will filter dust and some fumes for quite a while, but truely harmful vapors.... You got maybe 4 to 5 hours before the charcoal is full and no longer keeps them from entering your lungs. I date and time stamp my cartridges with a sharpie, then use them only for dust after 5hrs of use in one day. Cheers!
Yes, and I believe that if you open them and only use them for a short time (e.g. an hour or so), you should store them in a ziplock bag between uses, still throwing them out once the overall elapsed time/life is expired. That's how we manage the life of them here, where they're not required often and only for short duration tasks.
G’day Andrew your doing a very good job and your picking up skills along the way, it is good to see that you are taking time on her and it will show. Mallory is lovely and it’s great that she is there with you, I’m 66 and you get to notice things, I really enjoy the channel and it’s nice to see a non professional having a go not like a pro you normally see. Take care all the best from Tasmania Australia John
Very impressed with the build. The progression of skills too. And now, I'm impressed with the most massive vice grip collection I've ever seen. Now -1.
I don't know what to comment so i'll say I can't wait to restore my van in a few years, it's a (i think) 1991 Peugeot j9 and just like the vw bus it's a beautiful box of metal
Kris you do a lot of smart and cool things on your channel. However, putting a dog face side by side with Mallory.......well? Let us know how that worked out for you 😀. Have fun in the "dog house"!! Thanks for another great video!!
Wow crazy how far you’ve come with this bus, you’ve got that whole side looking brand new 👏🏽. Massive props to you guys! Favorite part of this video was the ingenuity with that winch tho haha
Realizing how much work you spent on your bus I almost regret bying my bus. A 75 last on the road in 87. Runs great but at least the amount of rust as on your car. Håkan in Sweden
Well bud I watch all your videos til the end. My way of showing support. Good work mate. I appreciated that bit of español you threw in there.😁 I just got the parts for my front end makeover so should be installing on Monday after this hurricane that hopefully turns into a storm hits us.😁
Love this video! And I was cracking up at your tool hanging setup with the copper wire and screws - I literally just watched a 30 minute video last week on here of a guy (Herrick Kimball) who did that with leftover electrical wire, and then I did it myself in my garage. 😆
Really great to see that you have come so far, what seem like an impossible task. Congrats to you and your team.. and to all the sponsors too. Keep it up.
Looks very good. Like a DeLorean … kinda. Haha. 😉 After all your hard work, this is a milestone. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
Dude, the cover that covers the track of the sliding door is put on with the door open, you didn't have to have cut the tab for the screw, and on the other hand, the height of the sheet that holds the glass rubber is very high, it there is about two millimeters left over, you can cut the rubber on the glass when putting it on, peace and good work
hey man thanks for the video, im about to replace my windshield and had to do some rust repair in the lip but would love to see you document either on your bus or your buddy how the new windshield goes in. I have heard some horror stories about the glass needing to be shaved down from the aftermarket brands like "fuyao" which is the kind of bought but some say theirs went in without any issues! super nervous to try and get mine back in once i repair the rust ! let me know how yours or your buddy's go!
Man I miss the energy I had when I was in my 20's and 30's! lol. I may have missed it. Where did this bus live originally to get all that rust? You're doing a great job BTW!
You're doing a great job with the metal work. Are you going to repair the inside of the rear quarter panels where you made that jig for it, it looked bad there.
You do use different masks and filters for grinding and chemical fumes, right? What does the pink one do? Only bigger particles, right? I have a seperate mask (filters) for painting.
Brilliant work, is the scoob engine going in the bus, or did it go back with the car? an EJ20 is on my fantasy wish list of mods to my bus, but panel work needs to be finished first.
Hey man I e been looking for a windshield for my bay for a bit now? I saw you bought a few? Is that something I could buy from you! I’m out of ky thanks 👌🏻🤙🏼

Soon the entire bus will look factory fresh haha

Glad you got an air punch! 😂
It was about time haha

Awesome video, I love the progress and the effort in this. Great job with the edits and just the whole thing :)❤

Monumental progress... hanging the door made all the diff. Still some work to do but getting so close.

Again a amazing video, good to see the whole side complete and in a great condition.
Great vid, length was spot on too
Glad you enjoyed
Keep up the good work
Ingenious dent puller 👍🏼
That side is perfect 👌
awesome work. I dropped my sliding door 3 times. I am old. cheers
Looking good! No one would ever know you did a roof swap.
congratulations from Italy 😃
First step with a deep rust fight - have a sander or drill with two sides of rotation;) otherwise you are just polish a surface
Assistindo essa jornada magnífica parabéns , aqui no Brasil usa um disco de inox para esquenta a chapa e volta
Good stuff, as always, and I hope that you get a lot of pleasure from using your new tools. Best wishes.
Great work , keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Great work. Your videos are fun and informative. I envy your work place!
Videos are SO good! All hail the algorithm!
Glad you like them!
Ah you missed the dad joke - careful handling with the windshield - because if it should fall it would be quite a "spectacle"

absolutely love the series! the video length is on point!
Glad to hear it!
Super interesting! Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Will do!

I bought this bus in central Florida but it supposedly spent the majority of its life in Texas
It was a fun video , thanks
A pleasure to watch
Fantastic job looking good👍❤
Loving your videos buddy
Glad you like them!

I love it!
Did Chinese Mike let you down 😂 the bus looks amazing you should be super proud 🎉 Did Mallory do something with that wood 😉
Chinese mic quality was not up to Vangabonders standards, as for Mallory I can't disclose that or I may sleep in the dog house
@@Vangabonders oh, she made a dog house 🤣😂🤣

Does that guy have any more of those windshields? We're learning together. Great job so far.
I think they might, you'll have to call but I think after I bought a crate they raised the price haha
Brilliant work, is the scoob engine going in the bus, or did it go back with the car? an EJ20 is on my fantasy wish list of mods to my bus, but panel work needs to be finished first.
the EJ25 is indeed going in the bus!

Also gutted that I’m all caught up, now I’ll have to avidly await the new videos 😪
WOW.. I'm almost famous... sorry the oil leaked a bit.. but glad you like it..
Thanks again Dave!
lovely jobley
When the opsal turns black?
It still has rust
Do you sand it off?
where did you get the track cover replacement piece? trying to find it online but no luck so far just track cover itself
What piece do you mean by track cover? I kept the original track cover on mine
The piece you welded on that the cover hooks into
@@austindenfeld1903 are you referring to the top track slider? If so I also reused that piece from the original
@@Vangabonders no the C-channel piece that it hooks into that’s welded to the body panel
👍👍👍
Is the Subaru engine 2.0 or 2.5ltr 👍🏻🏴
Need more videos!!!
Drop castle?
