      @AforAleph bravo. We don't want to lose any musicians but what to say after listening stories from legends they are hardly surviving in Pak. Very sad but if they are still motivated that's very brave. 🤞

    Umair Bhai, i am the only person in Pakistan who dry ran Insaan's solo on the notebook with no computer or CD player at home but by slowing the speed of Dish TV Channel down. Back then it was one of my damn fave solos and today i realize that it's an UNBEATABLE sequence of notes in the Pentatonic Blues scale. Highly emotional melodically! ❤

    He's totally all over the place @33:35 this is how art, languages and, cultures develop, this is exactly how Jazz came into being. If rock or any other genre of music or art is performed in the Orient or Subcontinent it should carry the local elements and vice versa for the Oriental and Indian cultures' art forms reaching Europe, all art forms must represent the cries and woes and hues of their land. Oudh is the grandfather of all guitars, and Oudh is a Middle Eastern melody instrument adopted into western classical music to play harmonies. He's just being shallow to think on those strict lines, even classical music throughout the Europe is not alike, you can instantly tell a piece of classical music born in Russia from that of U.K's or Italian classical. Then, there's an element of elitism when it comes to art, he obviously hates Bollywood styled music since it's the music of masses, the repetitive melody is a very subtle way to connect to working class to get them like and memorize the tunes and lyrics, ever noticed how easily Bollywood tunes are turned into revolutionary struggle songs? Faraz Anwar is a really good guitarist, a pathetic singer, and a very tiny man when it comes to thinking, he sounds like some Hindutva fanatic drooling with casteism.

    • @AforAleph
      @AforAleph  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a pretty unfair comparison to make - he’s just expressing his opinion as an artist; like any other artist he has his own preferences and tastes - it’s based on what he likes to listen to. You can’t fault anyone for that.
