Honda Civic del Sol Ignition Key going in but not turning.Lock cylinder repaired. Tumblers replaced.

  • In this video, I show how I removed, fixed and refitted the ignition lock cylinder on my 1993 Honda Civic del Sol. Often the ignition key wont turn because the steering column is exerting a strong pressure on the steering locking mechanism but it was not the problem. The problem was caused by worn out lock cylinder tumblers and a worn out key blade. I fixed the problem with used parts and a good spare key. Doing so, I was able to keep the original key cut for the ignition and the door locks.
