- I love teaching others to ride electric unicycles -- especially those who think they could never learn! In this video, you'll meet my next victim -- a 60 year old man who's eager to ride.
We are also trying out some training brushes we learned out from Adam U (linked below).

Training brushes !!!! What a brilliant idea !!! 💡 😀😀😀
I was about to start welding together a walker attached to the handle. Lol this is much simpler! Kudos🎉😊
@@calebkaran2291what i did what i learned, i just started rocking first like he did, and then from one point to another holding onto something. and then eventually i went a short distance without holding on and kept feeling more and more comfortable riding without help. but i didn't do it all in one day. i practiced like 5-15 minutes a day for 5-7 days
Training brushes are the most brilliant thing ive ever seen for a new rider. Wow lol
I wish I could take the credit
How did you attach the brushes?
I screwed heavy duty polyester cord strapping to the brushes after measuring the length for a tight fit.
@@pepperfingers thank you. And so far you haven’t noticed any sort of damage or change in how it operates when the brushes are removed?
@@EmMaMasRCs no damage at all. The straps are just held on by tension, so no need to alter the wheel or petals in any way.
Never too old for protective gear though
Agree. He refused it.
Only dorks wear protective gear
@mhxxd4..my nephew refused to wear protective gear and thought of helmets as for nerds, until he lost control of his motorcycle and is on life support.
@@peterrodby2786 motorcycle is different, that's plain dumb at those speeds. Every rider I know wears a helmet, even the most daring of daredevils at least wears a helmet
@@peterrodby2786 Who cares
My dad at 73 has been learning. This idea is amazing!
How'd you do it?
I plan on making a little video this week on how we did it. I got the idea from another TH-cam video, but they don’t give some of the details that I want to include
@@pepperfingersDid you ever make the video to attach to brushes? That would be great for me right now lol
I've seen a few people use the brushes and it is definitely my favorite way to teach rookies.
You should make a video on how to set up the training brushes 😊
I considered this. I probably will.
Training brushes had me dying
That's so creative and smart💀
It works basically the same way as a hoverboard.
Fun. Worth the purchase. I’ve got 3 of these.
Love how he can brush the street and learn 😮
What a freaking brilliant idea. Headed to the hardware shop right now. Bye!
I’m at 56 and my first wheel’s the InMotion V12 (picked something to grow with). And loving it, get up to about 25 or 27mph but will eventually get to 30mph. Taking my time.
Gonna be rough when you smack the ground
How have you gone with this? I’m thinking of getting a V12 for my first wheel
@@lauraphilpot the v12 is utter shit full of unresolved hardware issues leading to cutout crashes - my own included. The Begode T4 is a much better option. Take my word for it - I have 750 miles on the v12 and 1100 miles on the T4
Edit (4 months later)
I now have 2400mi on the T4. No issues.
I never want to trust electronics to keep me upright so I am looking towards Apollo scooters. It is hard to beat a 29" wheel kit build eBike, but there is something special about riding standing up and a scooter works to get that feel without worrying about cut off or not being able to dodge a car that pulls out in front of you. I still have not found a video showing someone on a wheel leap from one lane to the other really fast in dodge mode.
@@jstewart627 looks at chooch or hsiang's videos. Both are skilled riders who have plenty of videos in the city.
I just got a unicycle.. I’ll try training brushes
Training brushes!!! that's amazing!!!
The brushes idea is good
Brilliant! I envision me and my dad riding on these things. I'm 41 and my dad is 60.
wow awesome. training brushes? why didnt i think of that!
That an awesome idea! Also that man is great!
I'm considering the brushes to learn seated riding. 🤣🤷♂️
these brushes man! really nice
I definitely need those brushes. Just purchased my first wheel and had it for a few hours now. I couldn’t even stand on the damn thing at first. Now I’m KINDA able to go like a foot in distance without losing my balance.
The brushes are nice, but I think you’re better off without them. They’re a last resort imo. Just keep practicing and it will click. When it clicks, just be careful not to get over confident too quickly.
Big handshake to the guy/gal who invented those rad training brushes.
respect to this guy
Training brushes!🤔 I'm gonna try this with my 6 yr old son.....put on all his spiderman protective gear & see how he does 👍🏼 what a great idea
I’ll make another video of some closes up if you want to show him before you go through the trouble of making them. They’re pretty easy to make.
Here it is th-cam.com/users/shortssoyWtqNL004
It was the training brushes for me👌🏼
That is good,,it gives the foot a feeling to the closeness of the ground
Everyone's gangsta till gramps breaks a hip 😆
Training brushes 👍👍👍
And a cleaner parking lot too❤
That belt tip was super. Im getting the lynx as my first wheel but was afraid to mess it up to much during the learning period. Now it feels much better:)
The Lynx is a sweet looking wheel. Thanks for watching!
Training brushes? you just have the janitor a new idea on how to clean the floors easier haha.
I was thinking about 2 wooden dowl rods about an inch and a half thick, and using them as ski poles for ballance. The brushes are a great idea!
great job learning. I wanna try
i used this idea a couple months ago. it accelerated the learning curve. Nowadays I'm doing a mix of off road and road riding with a v12ht.
big respect for any old heads that just move with societies advances instead of just cursing the heavens and hating on anything new!
Love the training brushes!
What an amazing way, brushes that is. Awesome way to learn dude
Thank you so much 😀
This confirms my suspicion that sticking to my scooter with sturdy handle is my best course of action. The unicycle is tempting because you can likely carry it into office buildings and theaters where scooters are not welcomed. I'll pass because even if I get ok, it's unobservant walkers and drivers that would mess me up.
I actually feel safer on this than I do my scooters. The larger wheels of the EUC allow me to roll over obstacles easier preventing falls. Also, with a scooter, the handle bar and long platform are not your friends if you do fall. That said, I think both are great.
good way to clean the driveway
That is a king song 16s I've had mine for one year and I love it
Great idea..i think ill try it. Thanks.
EXCUSE ME!!!!! I WILL TURN 80 NEXT YEAR. BOUGHT MY FIRST SHERMAN ABOUT A YEAR AND 4 MONTHS AGO, I NOW HAVE 12,900 MILES ON IT AND STILL DO 55 MPH. IN 5 SECONDS.
I tell people that they're never too old or too young to ride. I get asked that all the time. Thanks for commenting :)
Great job! Be safe!
Absolute genius training idea!
This guy reminds me of myself, and I wish they had these wheels when I was half my age.
That is a great way to learn . Perfect
This is one of the best EUC videos!
that's an amazing teaching idea
Nice idea! Another way is to use small attachable training wheels like bicycle ones.
What a great idea!
Buena idea !! Gonzalo , vení a limpiarme el Patio de casa !!
Love the brushes great way to sweep that parking lot
Have him go clean the McDonald's parking lot over here.
AHAHAHAHAHAHA
lmaooo👍
Oh very good ^^
Thanks 😆
I want to learn that unicycle seems thats amazing.
Cool brushes
That first fall off the wheel had him on ice for a week legend has it
Very nice
Training brushes Amazing great idea !!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice man, good work.
Thanks!
ブラシを使う方法は平らな場所では有効ですが、傾いた場所に行くと転倒します。
A couple of old dulled ski poles or bamboo stalks make good trainers.
Just got 1… @60, wish me luck!
Im glad the poor horse is having a break 😂😂
Awesome I just rode mine to work my 3rd week I was soooo nervous
The first voyage like that is always the best. Just take your time.
Genius!
Need the update!
He kinda sorta got it and hasn’t ridden any more. I think he is concerned about hurting himself (even though I couldn’t convince him to wear gear *shrug*)
lol having fun while being a street sweeper brilliant
The first thing you neeeeeeed to learn to do after you get on an EUC is to safely dismount.
Awesome video 👍
Thank you 👍
Astounding Idea. Training Brushes on EU. Old dogs can learn new tricks. You never too old to learn and try something new.
Yooo , I’m going to buy a commander mini and it will be my first EUC ofc 2do hand with only with 900 miles . I’m newbie about EUC world but I want to learn so bad
Agora o pessoal da faxina vai querer um deste 🧹
👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽!!!
Trainig brushes!!! The most brilliant idea for learning EUC. Hmmmmm wonder if training brushes could help for learning to ride backwards?
I’m sure they can. I’ll give it a try.
And the wife was very pleased he finally swept the driveway....
I tell them to get up to speed as speed equals balance and then after you can practice riding slower
I just thought of a new way to clean my garage.
Training brushes!!!!!
Donald Muyle
Молодец 💯
Where did you get those brushes and how did you attach them?? I want to learn at 65😂😂😂
The brushes are push brooms, the straps are heavy duty packing straps, and I used screws to attach them.
When will someone make an effective diesel-electric hybrid unicycle? I feel like one of those could have a range of over a thousand miles.
nuke powered, it will run forever
🩵 I think this'll work for me. if you have links for the brushes and straps, please send 🙏
I took a push broom from Lowe’s, cut the broom head in half, and screwed some packing strap I had lying to either broom half. I may make a little video on how I made it.
@@pepperfingerswould love that. thank you
I wonder if the pedals are too tall on the patton for me to try the brushes idea.
Probably.
How do you install training brushes, and which ones are best to get?
I made them. Get a push broom from Lowe’s and some packing strap. Cut the broom head in half and screw the packing strap to the broom head halves, one for each pedal. Be sure its tight when you slide it onto the pedal and your food will hold the broom heads on when you’re riding.
bro that's actually smart wtf
If all pedestrians use this unicycle with brushes, it would clean the streets
haha i never seen the training brushes
I know I’ll get attacked for this but he really should have a helmet, wrist guards etc. Old bones are not only easier to break, they also take longer to heal.
Dout you’ll be attacked. He wouldn’t wear gear
I just turned 40 waiting for my v12 in the mail. Going to wear it all especially starting out.
I've learned two years ago what crashing at 25 mph on an eskate felt like. I was super lucky to only have bruises, scrapes, and sprained wrists. These machines are no joke!
So this is in my future lol, with a helmet
I'm 71 ride 8 miles average on my bike you can sit on them to it will stop locking my bike up I can take it everywhere I go suit case it take it in the stores
Have him sweep the shop while he's at it.
Where can I buy this at ?
You have to make them. Its a push broom, packing strap, and a few screws to make it.
What brand of euc is that?
Kingsong
I’m basically a onewheel
You know. For stuff like this. You could potentialy use these for work
I use mine for work from time to time.
What model is that?
Kingsong 16S
Training helmet?
None
Omg that’s hilarious
where was he at his own i see him with brushs
He isn’t completely off on his own yet.
@@pepperfingers i am hoping at that age im able to walk upright let alone euc
LOOK MA NO HELMUT ! 🤓
