Really? Because I learnt this routine from a different teacher on a different continent in 2009 and the first part was identical so I would have assumed that part was Fosse's?
+rorolilred The version you learned -- the version you see here -- is the 1996 Revival version. The choreo from the original production (1975) is different. Anne Reinking set the revival version in the style of Bob Fosse.
Dancer on stage right is too exaggerated in her movements. In doing so she loses some of the subtleness of Fosse's choreography. Less is always better. Don't take such large walking steps and concentrate more on the arms and wrist movement.
@@stephaniewestphal2292 - One does NOT put their own flare to FOSSE choreography. That is sacrilege. She would've been fired in a hot New York second and barred from ever auditioning again!!!
helpful to learn steps with rear view plus mirror for front view
What kind of character shoes is the girl on the left wearing? They look like Luduca's but I can tell by the strap that they are a different brand,
Not Fosse's but in his style.
Was this definitely choreographed by Fosse or is it just in his style?
+thethingsithink This is Anne Reinking's Choreography in Fosse's style.
+Ian Smith The first part is more Anne's (with some modifications.) Good eye. ;-)

Ohh I had no idea, that's really interesting! Thank you =)
Thanks for everything Andrea! Here’s a little something for fun: th-cam.com/video/ZFgro4GnnT4/w-d-xo.html
Dancer on the right is way off from Fosse style.

That exactly what i was think from the beginning when she put such a bug head with her pops on the start
Yep
I know what you both are saying, but I appreciate how she added her own little flare to the choreography. Both dancers show variation.
