She's too nice, not bad, but can be easily exploited by others. I wish her well. her Piano EP is some of the most beautiful things I've ever heard in my life on top of her acoustic eps. I love her super math rocky sound in her first Acoustic ep, like where this song comes from, but her acoustic ep 2 does flow really well.
It's been 10 years now since Yvette released part 1 of A Map a String a Light. I don't know when I first heard it but it's had a profound impact on my life. People always find ways to relate their personal experiences to songs but in all the music I've ever heard in my life, I've never felt more understood by a piece. I dont ever tell people when I show them this song, but I believe if someone truly understood and resonated with Yvette's masterpiece, and then could compare me with that feeling, they'd understand me to my core.
The talent of this person is just incredible. I try to show my daughter that there are other female role models available, other than the rubbish that's on the radio. I'll keep persisting 😀
Just when I thought all was lost. You and your great bass player and drummer came along. Love it ! Much needed for me personally. and much needed in this time of canned music. Take you place with the true artist . Keep looking to the sky. !
By 4 minutes it's already an awesome and could be a complete song. But then a totally snaps and her guitar playing just goes wild wonderful love this. where the storms can cover me.
I pray that you feel as appreciated as your art, I feel such sadness in your voice, and I hope that someone can lift that from you so your heart may sing as beautifully as your voice 🌸

I'm convinced this woman is the most underrated musician of the modern age. Solo work is great and her work on Covet is also fantastic.
yep! true true! a world-class uncopyable master
She is that's the problem with real musicians they real that's why studios don't want them .
She is hands down one of the greatest living instrumentalists and lyricists. Completely underrated.
plays guitar, piano, violin, sings AND on top of that is probably the kindest person i’ve ever met

The song is really quite something and it also had a similar effect on me.
The most insane part of all this is the fact she can sing so nicely while playing like THAT! This is just absolutely amazing.
I cried. Ive had a giant crush on her for a while. I had seen covet vids before but this blew me away. I'm so in love now. Beautiful.
Seriously her solo stuff brings tears to my eyes more than like any other music I've ever listened to. Soooo beautiful
Damn, Yvette is like, the best.
So beautiful Yvette. You are a treasure to lovers of music.
The fact that there's no dislikes is, to me, a testament to her brilliance.
You know how we sent a bunch of random stuff and music into space. I think this is what i would want the entire universe to hear.
Cort guitars are back in the game. Glad to see Yvette playing a not-so-famous guitar brand. She's way amazing! :)
The magical moment when you realize the two songs are literally connected from one to the other ♥️
i literally can not express how much this upload means to me. thank you so much.
I wish this live recording was available on Spotify or to purchase, amazing stuff.
I love the smile after she messes up at 1:41 I wish I could play half this good

being able to play this live all the way through is just an absurd feat in itself, let alone with that much expression.
Brava Yvette!!! This is what you get when a brilliant, classically-trained musician decides to break her chains and follow her heart.

No need for comparison, no one is better or worse for listening to certain musician
