Lots of fun to watch! I still stand by the Fury! Much less money for an objectively stronger and better handling vehicle.
Fury has Mod 0.8 out of the box, the Slash uses 0.48p which I had lots of issues with. The Fury has the stronger suspension components out of the box, grippier tires, better remote with more tuning options, better servo.
And after wrenching on the Slash, I've never really had to work on my Fury other than swapping electronics and that was easy. But looking at the design, the Arrma needs less screws to fix (for example the Slash rear camber link needs 14 screws removed in order to remove the link.. the Arrma needs 4 screws to remove the rear camber link). The Slash also still uses a terrible c clip hinge pin design in the front for some reason.. very annoying and needs to be upgraded. The Arrma is better designed than the 15 year old 2wd and doesn't need attention nearly as often.
I love my Slash though. I got it because it was leagues ahead of Arrma's 2wd SCT of a year ago (Senton BOOST.. thing is the worst 2wd ever) and the Slash blew it out of the water. But by the time I had dumped $700 ish into my Slash, the Fury came out and clapped it.. My specific Slash will outlive my Fury because of all the hundreds of upgrades on it such as the Castle electronics, steel .32p gears, and full RPM upgrades. But I dont think its anywhere near worth the extra $400 over a stock Fury.
Out of the box, there is 0 competition with the Fury. But with upgrades, the Slash is vard to beat, but you need DEEP pockets to make it happen.

I'd rather pay a few more dollars for a better platform. I have had so many 2wd traxxas trucks and other brands as well and still go back to the slash 2wd. 2wd slash on 4s with paddles and skis for the snow is so much fun...

I think you guys should do this with other traxxas and arrma like the 2wd vorteks and rustler or 2wd granite and stampede

The slash is the easiest to fix. And easy to get the parts at any time. Lol but the fury I have only broken front a-arms and a steering link lol

In the US, you can't beat Traxxas when it comes to parts availability in every single local hobby shop. I have the Rustler 4x4, Stampede V2 (the latest one) and the Xmaxx.

i just got a jury 223s and i love it but also hate it, its fun but i also got a hpi jumpshot sc flux for $200 and its stupid fast and handles like the fury, needs better shock oil, and i bashed it pretty good off a curb a few times and ive only busted the bumper and had to cut a hole in the body because it parachutes really easy and i really want to see you guys destroy one, i know the system in it will be decent in something else lmao, please break an hpi jumpshot sc next with these other 2wd sc trucks
