I remember i saw a video of the horrible craftsmanship of the restorations done by that Chinese company. I had no idea people died from it. Lord have mercy.
My brother in Christ, my heart goes out to you and the Serbian people for such a senseless tragedy. Just be assured that God has the last word in all things and that bad governments can benefit us by bringing us all closer to Christ.
Corruption in China is so bad, Chinese companies are not held to any sort of standards. In Chinese business practices, lying and deceiving to save money is actually seen as a merit. In China, cheap building projects are called Tofu Dregs. Prayers to the deceased.
Bojan, seriously: Do you think that this collaboration of church leaders with secular power and unwillingness to speak out against corruption is less of a sin than, say, the blessing of homosexual couples by liberal "churches"? Both are sins of course, but I think we Orthodox should start with the beam in our own eye. I'm so glad you've expressed yourself so openly! Too bad there are so few such voices.
I would say that these are two wildly different seens. Blessing homosexual couples is something that goes directly against Christian teaching; failure to speak out is a personal sin of every hierarch. However, both have in common that "they call evil good" (whether directly or tacitly)
@@BanterWithBojanAgree: Blessing same-sex couples is a failure on a systemic level, the other on a personal one. But the tendency to overlook the problem of corruption has, I would say, systemic aspects on our side.
As a person who skeptical of authority and an orthodox catacumen. I’ll be praying for the Serbian Orthodox Church . And honestly, probably all of the orthodox church right now. Politics is politics man. Edit: now honestly after watching it the whole country of Serbia 😂😂
He appears practically daily on television. All the televisions that have the national frequency (= are free to watch) never say a word against him. Just yesterday there was a meeting of the ministers, he was present (even though he's the president and not part of this government) where he shouted at them for the strikes. This is just a miniscule part of it, he is essentially a mafia boss running (and ruining) this country.
Vucic is bad, but I'm afraid he may be one of the lesser evils (geopolitically speaking). The protests in the early 2000s was a colour revolution, this is simply a fact. Like every controversy, this has the potential to spin into a tool for western interests, especially in the case of Serbia which is already largely pro-Russia. However, the current problems are very much real and there is deep dissatisfaction with the current establishment. For my own personal reasons, if people mad at Vucic are advocating or open for to worse (EU, NATO), I will side with the current state. These are all problems we need to solve internally without western interference. The Church needs to act as a voice of truth and acknowledge the current problems and their causes.

Nobody being denied a blessing? This sounds like Pope Francis.
He's not, trust me. And I don't mean that in a good way.
@@BanterWithBojanHow is it a good thing to not be like Francis?

Sounds like color revolution 101 stuff. How is your president a dictator?
