i am currently fighting cancer. I have been fighting now for over two years and travel over 11 hours every few months to see if it continues to progress. Some days I dont want to keep going yet others I want to fight like hell. I get scared every time I get sick in not knowing if the cancer is getting the best of me. My sister has also had cancer. we have no contact her choice not mine. LIfe is really hard when you are fighting something like cancer and wonder if there will be a cure any time in your life time or not. I use to listen to this song all the time and wonder how a person could get threw each day knowing they have cancer. Now I am in that shoe. It is the hardest battle to stay positive in life. Each day I have to focus on what I have and not what I could have in life. I am so thankful I have my faith in GOd. That is what truely keeps me going each and everyday. I am thankful for each breathe I have and another sun rise to see and seeing another snow flake.

I went with her to the Doctors, and they told her that she had cancer, it was the day before I started year 8. The good news is that she doesn't have it anymore which is good and hopefully it never comes back.
Eh, don't worry, man. Thyroid cancer ((I'm assuming that is what you meant?) And this is if she does have thyroid cancer) is said to be the best cancer you can get, ironically. It is easily treatable, even late into the process, and has a low chance of returning. But if it does, it is still highly treatable.

While their I met my friend. For several months we faught the unknown together. She had already been fighting cancer for a long time when we came to be. She passed away. I remember so dearly the short time I had her in my life. When I went yrs later to Atlantic City to preform after 9/11 I danced on fabric to this song. I had gone through trials of life became a United States Marine and them found my music. We my friend and I danced this song. My moms never really met any of her biological family until two years ago when her aunt found her on Facebook and got ahold of her. Her mom had just died a year before of skin cancer. We never got to meet her but we've been in contact with others from that side and now we just found out that one of my second cousins who just turned three is diagnosed with leukemia. We are all praying for him and when I heard this song I was crying. The doctors say that we caught it in time to treat it.
Cancer is an awful disease. That's why my friends and I registered to donate stemcells so we can at least try to do something. I use to listen to this song as a girl and cried every time. Now I’m 29, listening to this song for the first time in years crying like a baby! My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She’s still fighting and I cherish all the time we get to spend together! We are taking a vacation together in a couple of weeks. Just us girls!

Uggh...brings tears to my eyes every time..god bless all the families and people fighting with cancer..my mother has it and she’s been fighting it for almost 3 years now. She’s a trooper and is doing well...I have to give her a shot twice daily, one in each arm. She’s stronger than me. I am grateful for her and for my life. This song is amazing...

My mom has stage four breast cancer, and I just cry thinking about all the people that go thru what she has gone thru, dealing with it so well like she does. It's truly amazing, and even tho she got her death sentence today, she still keeps her head high. The amount of leadership and compassion she has taught me makes me proud to know her, and glad to be her daughter.
Brave girl, my daughter is 9, thank God she is healthy, but if she some day have to pas thru something like this, I want her to be like you, God bless you

i know ive commented on this video like more than once before, but i wanted to say if you know someone fighting against cancer or your fighting against cancer dont ever give up. im a survivor at age 12. im scared its gunna come back again but i promised myself i wouldnt give up if it did or when i had it. theres hope

I can't help but cry to this song, each breath i lay sobbing in pain, my son Landon has leukemia, although he's in remission it's still paying everybody to see him go through the harsh reality of chemotherapy, for two more years, and now on top of that my girlfriend and the mother of our 3 amazing children might have cancer aswell, my heart is killing me, i cant take how painful how live can be, i cant live without her, i need her and so do our children, i can only pray that what shes going through is nothing, i really hope its nothing

Beautiful song and slide show. I, too, battled cancer (NHL Stage 3) and though I was in my mid-50's (not high school) the impact is still the same. 6 of 10 chances. I am still here more than 5 years later. Have there been short and long-term effects? Yes, but I take it day by day, moment by moment. Wonderful song.
my grandmother is a breast cancer and ovarian cancer survivor, my uncle is a skin cancer survivor and my other uncle passed away last spring from stomach cancer; all from my mothers side of the family. Bless them all ♥

My moms never really met any of her biological family until two years ago when her aunt found her on Facebook and got ahold of her. Her mom had just died a year before of skin cancer. We never got to meet her but we've been in contact with others from that side and now we just found out that one of my second cousins who just turned three is diagnosed with leukemia. We are all praying for him and when I heard this song I was crying. The doctors say that we caught it in time to treat it.

Cancer is an awful disease. That's why my friends and I registered to donate stemcells so we can at least try to do something. I haven't lost loved ones to cancer, yet (hopefiully never), but I know people who have or almost have and I hope they will find a "cure" one day. It's such a terribble fight to fight. I wish you people out there all the strenght and support you can get.

She's lost all her hair and my fiancé had to go through radiation before we got together. This song is beautiful and hits home every time. Wish I could thank rascal flats for putting this song out.
I lost my aunt which was like my best friend at the age of 5, lost a uncle just one week ago, and lost my uncle Jonny nearly a year ago. And my cousin I never got to meet lost his battle at the age of 5. And one of my old pastors died from cancer. I love and miss them all so much

This song is so meaningful, as a Doctor, I see more and more children and infants, toddlers, preteens, teens, adults of all Life Level with cancer(s), my Life Partner and my oldest brother both were recently found to have cancers, (Brain and Lymphoma respectively). My Father and even my little French Bulldog passed away due to cancers. It is pretty much as common now as diabetes!!! I love this song!!!

My great grandfather was diagnosed with esophageal cancer when I was little... he had it for almost a year and his full head of hair came out. He was my best friend... I am 12 now but I still miss him so much! 😢😭😭😭😣 R.I.P This song kind of reminds me of him. And I'm now crying my eyes out
I have never heard this song until a couple of weeks ago. When my girlfriend told me to listen to it. I battled cancer in 09 and my hair fell out in the shower. I was prepared for that. But when it actually happened i was thinking i was falling apart. I stayed positive and beat it. This song brings me back to the day i lost my hair. I know its worst for girls. It was still tough all the same.

I lost my little Sister on Nov 27 2005 right when this song came out. I remember sitting at the hospital watching her fight. She was 21 she was diagnosed in September of 2005. She was scared to death. She had blond curly hair and it all fell out with the chemo she was on. This song will always be a song I listen to all alone just thinking of that nasty cancer that took her away. She was to be married that August. She was not scared when she asked to be taken off the machines because her organs were shutting down. She is the strongest person I have ever known!
