🍽️ Momos with Tangy Tomato Chutney | Perfect Snack

    INGREDIENTS FOR MOMOS DOUGH:
    Refined flour (Maida) 1 cup
    Salt ½ tsp
    INGREDIENTS FOR STUFFING:
    Finely chopped cabbage ½ cup
    Finely chopped carrot 2 tbsp
    Finely chopped capsicum 1 tbsp
    Finely chopped onion 1 tbsp
    Garlic, Ginger, Green chili paste 1 tbsp
    Chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp
    Red chili sauce ½ tsp
    Soya sauce ½ tsp
    Vinegar ½ tsp
    Butter 1 tsp
    Salt, black pepper powder, sugar and aromate powder as per taste
    Grated Paneer ¼ cup
    INGREDIENTS FOR CHUTNEY:
    Blanched tomatoes 3
    Soaked dry red chillies 3 - 4
    Oil 1 tbsp
    Onion 1 (chopped)
    Garlic 5 - 6 cloves
    Ginger 1 inch piece (sliced)
    Cumin seeds 1 tsp
    Chopped coriander leaves with stems 2 tbsp
    Lemon juice 1 tsp
    Salt Sugar as per taste
    METHOD:
    1) To prepare the momos dough, combine refined flour and salt. Knead a tight dough using the required quantity of luke warm water. Knead it on kitchen platform to get perfect texture. Keep it covered for 10 minutes.
    2) To prepare the filling of the momos, combine chopped cabbage, carrot and ½ tsp salt. Mix it well and keep aside for 5 minutes. Then squeeze it to remove the water released by the veggies. Add chopped onion, chopped capsicum, Garlic, ginger, chilli paste, chopped coriander, soya sauce, red chilli sauce and vinegar. Add butter, salt, Black pepper powder, sugar and aromat powder. Add grated paneer and mix well.
    3) Roll the prepared dough into a thin roti with the help of dry flour. Cut it into round shaped discs with the help of a round cutter or tin lead. place some stuffing in the centre of the disc. Apply little water on the edges of the disc. Now fold it into a momos shape shown as in the video. Steam these momos in a steamer for 10 - 15 minutes.
    4) To prepare the tomato chutney, Peel the blanched tomatoes and cut them. Deseed the red chillies. Heat oil, add chopped onion, garlic and ginger. Sauté till they turn a little soft. Add chopped tomatoes, deseeded red chillies, and cumin seeds. Switch off the flame and add coriander stems, lemon juice, salt and sugar. Let it cool down. Grind this chutney in to fine paste. Serve hot momos with spicy tangy tomato chutney. you can apply some butter on momos to enhance the taste and texture.
